adderall during the pre op diet: yay or nay?

def a question for your doctor/nurses especially with medication irregardless of what other people do or have done..so def make a call to the office and find out. wishing you all the best
  3. any WLS is great and any WLS can have complications whichever you get, do the best you can with it (for best results) and with all things, success will vary ..all i can say it is it did save my life..so whatever pick or choose, WORK IT and do your best and make it happen

  7. any WLS is great and any WLS can have complications whichever you get, do the best you can with it (for best results) and with all things, success will vary (as you can view from postings above me) on the amounts loss....all i can say it is it did save my life and i have lost alot with the band/plication but i also did alot to (help it along)...so whatever pick or choose, ALL THE BEST

    My New Way Of Eating

i learned quickly how NOT to eat aka too big of bites and eating too fast.....you feel that one or two times, you strive not to do it again....its all about taking your time, going slow, take small bites, chew alot and stop when done......like b said, its hard to understand some of the posts on here too...and AJ is 100%, the band will say (when)

MY ONGOING FEUD WITH MY PCP!

everyone posted what i think/thought and more.....let me say, USE what he said as a way to (make your already strong mindset) even more solid and continue to kick major booty in the losing weight war......and let your success, your better health speak your volume...... still sorry he upset you....i can feel it via your words....bet his momma is sure enough proud that he learned how to talk......NOT

    Feeling discouraged after consultation

like others, my doctor also wanted me to do the bypass (as i was super sized)..to chicken sh**, i instead got the band and i recall telling my doctor i would make it work.....and i have...not tooting my own horn just stating that with the band, you can lose....but you must work it (eat better/exercise) and do the best you can....any WLS is great....any WLS has complications that can or cant hapen but unless the person does what they are advised to do, no WLS will work.....just my 4 cents.
  12. could be gas too as its gotta come out but def sip slow and in wee amounts...it will get easier as the swelling subsides

    Bruising?

yes lord.....and i had to also do the shots in my stomach to fight against blood clots for 2 weeks (hub gave me one each morning/evening) and at the end of two weeks, it look like mike tyson kicked my a ss.......it heals and eventually goes away.....remember this was major surgery, they cut us to get inside and such...so its gonna be sore/uncomfy/brusing etc...

1 month post op! No fill yet

well 23 pound loss is nothing to sneeze at.....enjoy it now as it does slow down and you need a positive attitude and as haz said, a understanding that you wont lose like that all the time.....so take a loss as it is.........a LOSS
  16. yes as you are still very much swollen on the inside and it hurts going down....so its best to sip and sip and then sip some more...as the days progress, it will get easier to swallow and easier to eat/drink more..just follow the guidelines they gave you in regards to post op diet (liquids etc)...its vital to allow yourself to heal properly..dont rush it......be patient sweetie, you can do this...congrats on your surgery

    Totally Discouraged :(

well seems to me that you LOST 60 pounds....and what is wrong with that?? i think that is a great accomplishment....not sure what the issue is.....were you expecting to be at your goal weight in 5 months? it doesnt happen that way...YOU are doing a great job as you are steadily losing (weight)...so you go 80 or so to go yet, well me too.....each day i get closer to that number....JUST like you....the band is working and the question is are you working it?????? stress/TOM/being sick, first thing in the morning can make a person to tight......if you cant drink/eat/ lellow is right, you may be too tight....the band is not suppose to work by making one so tight they cant eat drink as that is a horrible way to live........i agree, go back to your doctor, tell them what you wrote here (or print it out for them to read your feelings) but def realize that losing 60 freeking pounds is an accomplishment.......the band is working for you.....good for you ps: if you are hungry, eat more Protein and drink alot......
  18. went with hub and tried on and then BOUGHT a pair of 16 black jeans....from size 30 to 16 ....i have no words right now, just tears
