    2 months and stalled

are you losing inches? are your clothes getting big on you? do you feel better? just because the scale is not moving as fast as you'd like does not mean you are stalled or the band is not working or there is a problem....the course to lose weight is an ongoing process.....dont expect to lose fast like on liquid stages... its working....keep moving forward

    Worrying too much

you did not gain weight overnight and you wont lose it overnight until you accept that, you are only making yourself looloo.......so stop a loss is a loss no matter how big or small and its not a contest......you get to your healthy weight in your own time look at how good you are doing you are doing it........so cut yourself some slack woman

    Need some encouragment...

i merely look at the picture i carry in my wallet and phone and also shown on my profile it would be easy for me to get back up over 300+ pounds......if i wanted too..but i went through alot to have this surgery and nothing or no one is going to stop me from being healthy... to be a failure means to quit...are you quitting? if you answered no, then your not a failure so stop thinking negative thoughts...wont get you anywhere but behind.. if you want to lose weight, i mean truly want to, i will tell you what my ole man told me during my pre op...he said to me, you wanted this surgery, so do what you have to make it work.......and if you do, you will.
  8. well sure am sorry to read your horror story and i am hoping your future is better/happier.. but it has worked for me and gave me my life back...i am forever grateful to the lap band for that...and if in the future, issues happen, i will deal with them but be happy as i will be dealing with it no longer a super morbid obese woman.

Will someone just move in with me!?

if you cut your food into small bites...maybe put fork down between bites as well as go slow, you will do fine..for me, i havent used kid utensils as i am an adult and i dont feel that is necessary but that is me..and i am not judging no one....BUT do what works for YOU as it is about you... its a process.......hang in there because you will get there sounds as if you are doing well......just need some more positive thoughts

    7 days post-op and HUNGRY!

you are right, it is mentalof course we are hungry, liquid only goes so far....and we live in a world where people eat 24/7 and at dinner time, time to eat...see someone at work eat, we want to eat...drink alot, eat when truly hungry (after you are 100% healed) and learn to eat to live.......not living to eat.....its not overly hard but dont expect overnight 20 pound per day losses....its an ongoing (journey)..a total change in life.......welcome aboard

lean Protein, veggies and fruit...no need to not eat well add seasonings of your choice, cheese (moderation) grill it, bake it, roast it........processed to me is out of a box so try to eat real food...prepare it yourself and then you know exactly whats in it and its so much better for you its prob not the response you wanted but its what i have done to get me where i am at today..

Will someone just move in with me!?

  18. ☠carolinagirl☠

Wth did i do this for?

still dont and wont eat fish.....just saying....
  19. some will post (items) that help them but in my opinion, what you need most is an open mind.....be realistic....be positive...you will need to let your body heal after surgery and let your body lose weight by eating great food and exercising....the band is only a necklace sewn into your tummy and help you eat less....you will be successful...i am sure of it.....if follow your doctors instructions and watch the magic happen
  20. ☠carolinagirl☠

    Cheese

i eat cheese everydayits a great go to snack and i put it on alot of my (protein meals) great options and great variety......key is moderation not deprive
  21. ☠carolinagirl☠

    someone motivate me

what motivated me *to begin to exercise* was me not being able to walk hardly....so for me to help the band, i just walked as much, as far as i could....i didnt let it define me or stare at a piece exercise equipment and wonder when i will do it...if i was going to lose weight, i had to make the decision to do it.. just get out and walk...do 5 min a day but do it...the more you put off, the more you wont do it.
  22. ☠carolinagirl☠

    At a stand still

i dont think losing 21 pounds is at a stand still....i consider that as you being successful...weight loss wont happen overnight as the weight did not go on overnight....to lose weight with WLS is a ongoing formula..the key is to keep moving forward with the instructions gave to you by your doctor for best results....and if you do, you will continue to do as well as you are. PS, if hungry, drink more and or eat more Protein when you are able to eat and def stay busy...you can do it..look at how great you have done.
