i had lap band and plication surgery and also had a hernia repair...it has worked well for me.....my dr told me straight off, if i did not change what i ate...begin to exercise, no WLS he gave me would work... i do not have any fills although i have primer in from surgery. i do not know how much...the plication helps me feel full (quicker and at about 1 to 1/2 cups of protein/food, i am feeling very full)....i cant say any neg about it...it has helped me lose nearly 150 pounds in 16 months....i will say however, that i am terrified of hurting myself by overeating so i follow what my dr advised me nearly to the letter....i go monthly to my dr and i have xrays of my band every 3 months....its a process....i have support and the best support is from myself... best of luck to you and everyone

sad you are not happy with (a loss) no matter how small....a loss is a loss...and sometimes the scale doesnt move and the inches keep coming off.....so it seems you are eating well and exercising...i see no problems other than your thinking....so think positive.....getting frustrated and mad solves NOTHING.. you are doing great so keep going...

and i am sooooooooo proud of you Jim...you are my hero and one of the first people on this forum who said hey to me last year when i joined. i never forgot that nor will i ever :wub:

well, i hope everyone is doing good whomever reads this. i wish you all happy and positive thoughts and i wave a magic wand of believe in yourself and hope it reaches you.

as in life....things do and can happen its how we let it affect us in dealing with it... complications can and do occur with any WLS..for best results, its vital to follow your doctors instructions to the letter..sometimes things just go wrong with WLS and its no ones fault....you cant spend your time going what if this happens or that happens...what if it doesnt? what if nothing goes wrong?? spend your time learning about the band...be realistic..be open minded and understand it is a process....it is not magic.....its something to help us eat less and lose weight.....was i scared, sure......but i was more scared that id be up over 400 more than i was anything else.....best of luck to you
