  1. its just Water weight that is (lost) if any....very much like a liquid diet...amazes me how people just think all fat/obese people will fall for the easy/quick fixes....and yes they do...desperate to lose weight we are.. yep i had WLS...i could hardly walk or wipe my a**ss..not proud of that but it gave me life back....i eat better foods, exercise and let the band tell me when (and use my common sense and dr advised allotment size). if i want to sweat, i will go lay in sun

    came home yesterday...did my aerobics and really worked my upper arms.. they are sore today.....being sore is a good thing in my eyes..it means i worked my muscles...and i know every day that i exercise,,,be it aerobics or walking, it is making me healthier....i am beyond being a slave to the scale...i love wearing smaller clothes and trying them on and they (fit).....can you say hell yeah

    i was verbally bashed on OH when i was in the pre op stages and it damn near scared me to death...i can promise you if that starts happening on this forum, i will be leaving.

    you tube is a great resource...while it is great to know that complications can and do happen (be it the patients fault or a faulty band or a dumb a**ss doctor), it is also vital to keep in mind that not all people with bands have any issues what so ever...that is the risk we all take with having this major surgery...for BEST results, it is crucial to use the band as your doctor advises...and if someone doesnt, then all sorts of things can and do happen..and those are the ones such as this young lady who had issues... things happen with the band and any WLS....but not always.. so yes, watch the complications they post on you tube.....but also watch the success stories of people who have changed their lives, have lost weight, and are successful with the band...i intend to be one of them in the near future.

    i was a veggie for about 10 years and here is what i found and is true: Protein is found in all plant foods, including vegetables, grains, legumes (such as Beans and lentils), soy foods, nuts and seeds.     on sundays, hub and me prepare.we cut/measure/weigh and out into containers foods for me to eat...grab/go.....veggies, fruit, chicken and tuna salad...boiled eggs, diced cheeseand always protein bars (home/work/purse/hubs mc vest)..and my peach ice mixes...it takes some time, but it is so worth it..and if passing through a resturant/drive thru, just making the best choices i can and knowing the band will tell me when i had enough..

    step aerobics

    this is what i love doing..i do this every single day i did it in the 90's when it came out and it worked then and its working now. you dont have to do anything but simply step up and down.. sure there is the side to side, the reverse etc...but just stepping up and down is exercising...its making your heart beat faster, making your lungs work and lets face it, toning your lower half...add some arms, and your working the top i started off my classes without the step bench and then i added the 4 inch bench step..i worked my way up. and so can anyone.. you can go to a class locally and or buy a great dvd to do at your house its a great work out..so do what you like and enjoy and will do... who cares if you can only do 5 minutes at first...at least your doing something.. listed here as one of the top 5 best exercises: http://www.top5ives....to-lose-weight/ here is a great article about it: http://www.livestron...-step-aerobics/

    i love chix ceasar salad and am having that 2nightas you and the world knows, i dont do fish.....so me going to red lobster would be if elvis was sited working the cash register.. but hub went with his friends one day and he said those biscuits are to die for and he is not a biscuit eater...so it must have been awesome

  18. It’s okay if you mess up. It’s okay if you should have started 5 years ago instead of 5 days ago. It’s okay if you plateau or get discouraged. Never forget why you started this journey. For you to lose weight and get healthier...

    Learned to love...

    i wasnt picky about eating before the band...i didnt get over 336 by not eating.. now i eat lean proteins, veggies/friuits and enjoy eating....i always have now i eat to live...not live to eat...its a great thing

    i disgust myself.

    anyone with a weight problem (and i had over 100 pounds more than you on me when i started and a starting BMI of 62)... we all (hated) what we looked like, what we became and hated how we felt about ourselves..so enough with the i digust me or i hate myself because you dont...your child loves/needs you..you need YOU.. to begin to get well/healthy, you must like/love/care about yourself enough to follow what the dr advises you to do....i am sorry about the BF but it sounds like good riddance...you dont need that sh**it..he will get what is coming to him... what you need is to dig down deep inside yourself, and make yourself well.. believe it or not, you are not alone
