hi look my dr just performed this surgery on me 2 weeks ago. i had the lap band w/the plication. he said it (could/may) possibly help more with band slippage in the future and also makes the stomach smaller (similiar to sleeve w/o cutting) and that would also help in the weight loss. i am hoping as i heal to get more feedback on this. i have read online that is does help or add up to 35% more weight loss. granted that is only what i found online and cannot say if its true or not as it is a kinda new surgery. i am thinking positive thoughts with this.

i had surgery on june 6th. do you think refried beans (pureed very smooth/runny) would be okay?

well i am not sure what it is but i know that sometimes (after anti-biotics) i got nasty yeast infections.(sorry TMI). i know at surgery, they were giving shots like crazy for stuff like that. i agree with TK, get to dr as soon as you can to be safe

hey mo, i am at work and i am (sitting) and every so often, walking to potty.....so not overdoing it, but still have pain just like you. i guess its normal. i just keep saying, this too will pass. (remember i never thought my shoulder would ever stop) but it did....

i am able (tomorrow) to move to soft/mushy foods from being all liquids for a month now. Oatmeal and refried beans never sounded so GOOD

hey moya,,,,,i am nearly 2 weeks post op and my port incision is very sore and slightly bruised. i guess this is normal. (remember we just had major surgery not too long ago and they did cut us open). you and me and everyone new bandie will be fine hope you have a great day today

at work and my stools gotta alittle on the runny side (((sorry i know TMI))) but i took a very small imodium a.m. and crushed it to pieces (it was dust) and took it with some Water. do you think i hurt myself? i am now sooooooooo scared. the dr's office told me not too but i didnt want to mess myself here at work do you think i hurt myself or the band?

yes, the imodium seems too (but also am taking one align (capsule/open and dump insides into a drink to swallow) and that has seemed to help (calm) down the runs....so far that is...

am sitting in my chair at my desk. walking a bit more than normal but not lifting or doing anything (hurtful) but it is sore. do you think its okay?

hey add sorry to hear about that. hope it is okay and i am sure it will be. i wanted to go back to work last week (but am glad i waited til today). i will admit my one incision site is sore but i am moving and walking around. went to the drug store w/my friend. called the dr and told them and she said its normal. is your incision the port one? that is the one hurting on me.

i use to have boxers (showed them in dog shows). yours is so pretty.

hey colleen, that is what i did and that is what she said (pretty much) and to walk about once an hour. (picture me going to bathroom w/all this water/liquid stuff). did you have to do milk of mag? i have one issue with the ruins now the other since i have been taking align...

its best to go by how loose your clothes are then by the scale. your weight changes so often each day, by drinking, eating, peeing etc.......try and weigh once a week at same time to get accurate readings.

its best to go by how loose the clothes are water weight, pms weight, it can ruin a whole day if you weigh, do it once a week ONLY......same time. i beg you not to go through that. its a horrid way to live

14 mo, that is so awesome. i am so proud of you i wont know my weight til wed at m first follow up i dont own a scale bc i know how weight can go up and down and i have been a slave to the scale before and it drove me mad.... i weighed myself after every pee and poop and found my life/day was based on what the hallowed scale said....no more we are going to do just great
