    momma mary, it sounds like you are a great momma you have wings waiting on you with 6 young uns. YOU go girl i think getting the band and having children must be hard. i do not think ms jean meant to come across as (mean). i think she is and was concerned about you. you got the lap band (which is a major surgery in itself) and all that goes along with it. and then 2 gorgeous babies. follow shortly thereafter. but now that you are wanting to (get back on track) you need to buckle down and do something about it. my brother told me once, either do something about it or shut up. (i dont want you to shut up, i want you to do it). do this for your kids, be healthy. be who you can be GF.

    the low fat diet will help shrink the fatty liver. dont cheat for if its not small enough, they may not operate but you sound like you are doing great...you may read on here its ok to cheat/nibble here or there...try not too ok you got this...all the best.......ps i was all liquid for my pre op and post ops

    like sojo and elcee said, salt is not overly good. its in everything just about. i do not use it and try not to use things with sodium as it makes you retain water...hub of mine uses half and half

    Two Months Later, Still No Fill

    well that sucks. just hang in there w/portion control and staying with eating 3/4-1 cup of food at any time. you can do this. its hard yeah, but look how much better you are feeling. and losing 20 pounds is not nothing. there are plenty of people who would kill to lose that amount. so be happy for yourself. i am.

    Husband Is So Supportive, But.....

    the other posters are correct. he does sound supportive (somewhat) but here is my take and i speak for me only--just because he buys little debbie (who i adore) does not mean we have to eat them.. sure its a def temptation but just dont eat it. if he started eating your Snacks, ask him why? hopefully he will see it bothers you and stop. i think that because i am changing what/how i eat, i cannot force it on my hub or family. hub does not like all the veggies i eat and i wont ask him to stop buying potato chips/snacks that he likes. we are both adults. i cannot tell someone not to ever eat at mcdonalds just because i am trying to lose weight for me. i wouldnt want them telling me not too if the situation was reveresed. def a quandry darling. i am sorry you are in it. just rise above his eating and be the better/stronger person. one or two bites of something wont banish you from the lap band kingdom. oh, and you wrote you have (some willpower) please change that to WANT POWER girlfriend. you are way stronger than you think

    sounds to me like head hunger arrived to visit you. he ordered pizza and had soda (and your head said go on, eat it). been there done that... first off get the (diet thing out your head). you need to eat to lose weight the exact same way you gained it. you will change what you eat how the band says how much (but its up to you to use portion control. just because that pizza is there, did you have to eat it? one piece is fine but did you stop after one piece?? or eat that piece and say the heck with it and eat the whole thing....heck that is what i use to do. so yeah, i know exactly what you are dealing with. i did not get up to almost 350 by eating lettuce. (you said you want this bad enough but cant motivate yourself enough to stop making excuses)..unless you decide to do something about it, nothing will change. you got to make that choice.

    awe, aint you sweet. thank you :wub: no fills yet. my 2 month follow up is tuesday and i may or may not get one.up to the doctor really. am trying hard and following my dr's orders to the letter.

    not one time. . stressed to dr and nurses that i did not to feel nausea. dr told me he gave me extra meds before and after surgery and gave a nausea patch. i told them when i had other surgeries and did feel horrible, they told me that didnt have to be that way. i consider myself lucky.

    i think there is but there are people like me and others who have had the plication. dont worry or focus on how you let yourseld get to whatever..you are doing something about it. focus on that. the band will help you eat less (its a plastic thing) but you will have to change what you eat and make better choices. anyhow, all the best and i know you will succeed.

    change of underwear, i took a sundress and flip flops tooth paste, tooth brush..i stayed overnight oh, and i took my hub with me best of luck. just relax. go take a nap and wake up to the new you.
  19. did the dr okay you to add banana or pnut butter?? please note that just because others have added that to their liquid diet does not mean you should. you are still early from surgery. cheating on post op could be dangerous. i am sure you are fine though. just stick to your dr's orders.. please check with your dr in regards to straying off course. . neck/shoulder pain is common. did you have hernia repair by chance? as the days go by, you will start feling better..

    Liquid Diet

    liquids, Protein shakes with ff milk applesauce sf, sf Jello, sf pudding no diet soda or alcohol reg vitamins stopped vitamins a week prior to surgery per dr request (vit e reasons)

    Scared I'm Eating To Much!

    always check with your doctor on what you need to be eating but i would think a cup of food would be enough. that is just my opinion. if you (overeat, that maybe why you get chest pain).' portion control is key. just because you can eat 2 or more cups of food at any time, doesnt mean we should. hang in there. its gonna get better.

    Tricare Waiting Approval How Long?

    yes when i started this back in feb, the dr told me also 6 month, but after contacting tricare and taking the printout to them from the website, clearly showing no waiting period, they never mentioned it again. if that was the case, i wouldnt be having surgery til later this month. you are going great it sounds. i have total faith in you. you just keep it with yourself.
