any WLS is wonderful and can help if used correctly my dr wanted me to have bypass when i went for help but have the band/plication...i was starting at a BMI of 62 and 336 weight.i was as wide as i am tall... i say as blue suggested, research all surgeries but in my opinion, no one WLS surgery is better than the other.. results vary as with all things in life....pick one and do your best..its all we can do -

i think weight loss success is how people shape their daily plans, (what they do today) and to think about the small steps they have already made instead of (i haven't loss, i am stalled, what a i doing wrong) read this.....NOTHING has gone wrong read this too.........A LOSS IS A LOSS.... -

How much should I be eating after weight loss surgery?
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to Sally Johnston's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
per my dr and nutitionist (with me having lap band/plication, 1 cup to 1 1/2 cup of food is my limit my plication gives me that (full/had enough) feeling/sensation at about 1 cup...so i listen to my body. i think it is important to stop even when (we easily) could eat more... great article -
stopped drinking soda day i started pre op...once i detoxed, i was fine with it.. now i am never without my crystal light peach tea..........

Weight coming ioff extremely slow!
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to kellicoley's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
as long as you are losing (inches also means true/accurate weight loss) that is the name of the game.......there is no time limit to get to the number/goal you seek and no expiration date before the band expires.......some lose slow, some fast......WHO cares as long as we get there, healthily, using common sense, keeping up with dr appts to make sure all is ok, eating great foods, exercising, who cares how long it takes.... we all want instant 100 pound weight loss overnight and if it dont happen then by dawg we must be doing something wrong screw that we are exercising, eating our allotted amounts and exercising....... see what i am trying to say?? stay the course, do the right thing and it will happen maybe not as fast as you want, but if you do it, it will.......... -

ok. dylan, so you gained you acknowledged..you know what to do and what not to do and 3 pounds is not all that bad...who knows maybe you didnt have a good poop or had some water/salt retention......so you and hub get right back on it today... eat your allotted amount make better food choices/options and if you dont go to the gym or (walk due to 60 feet of snow on ground) be mindful of the cals in vs cals burned off aspect i do that when i dont exercise...as 3500 cals is a pound ate or drank YOU can and WILL do this and get throught it we are with you every step of the way -

☠carolinagirl☠ replied to ☠carolinagirl☠'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
found this on a blog and it fit on this thread: Hello, do you know me? If you don't you should. I'm a pound of fat, and I'm the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet. Want to know why? It's because no one ever wants to lose me; I'm Only One Pound, just a pound. Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds or fifteen pounds, but never only one, so I just stick around and happily keep you fat. Then I add to myself ever so slyly so that you never seem to notice it, that is until I've grown to ten, twenty or even more pounds in weight. Yes, it's fun being Only One Pound of fat, left to do as I please. So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying "Oh, I only lost one pound." ( as if that were such a terrible thing!) For you see, if you do this you'll encourage others to keep me around because they will think I'm not worth losing. And I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you. Happy Days!! After all, I'm Only One Pound of fat!!! -
