ears back and was MISERABLE after surgery w/ nausea. I told them this time so they put some meds in my iv during surgery and a patch behind my ear to counteract it and I had no issue with it this time. i told them the same thing and they jacked up me with med in iv and the patch behind my ear and i wasnt sick to my stomach not once.

]It's a negative thinking cycle which can be broken...it just takes practice and accurately acknowledging that you can and are being successful with achieving your goals. couldnt have said this any better than my pal sojo

i can feel a hardness (when i press on my largest incision) site. so far that is it. (and more so when i am laying on my side). but thats it for me.

well bless your heart trying to get comfy. i guess i am the oddball as i was able to sleep in my bed on my tummy the day i went home. (most likely due to my tummy being so big haha) i would suggest (pillows, pillows) i sure hope that helps. and soon, you will back in bed, happily asleep in lala land. all the best.

see that is exactly what i want. no TOM. cant tell you how happy i was during my pregnancy without that........i swear, i have had enough with it. and my old man, he could write a book on the dealings with a wild southern woman on her period.

well lets see....dont smoke (my BMI has dropped from the 60's to the 50's since surgery)...kinda white and kinda native american.....no chemo/no radiation...still got the female parts........as far as i know d, just getting hot at night is the only sympton i have (or have heard of). though i do have my menopause flag out each month for mother nature in case she forgets me.......(your response def made me smile)

**He told me the latest studies have shown you don't lose any more weight and KEEP it off with the plication** i have to respond to this. i dont believe this is accurate. the plication is just like any other WLS, if you continue to overeat or eat cheap slider high fat high calorie foods, then you can overeat and gain weight. if you portion control and eat good foods, you can lose weight. i believe it is working for me. i also believe this is (want power) and not just will power. just because i can eat more than a cup of food, doesnt mean i should or will. my surgeon said the plication (can help). there is not a guarantee. so far, it has helped me lose 53+ pounds. do what works for you. all the best

Performed through a laparoscope, Gastric Plication is minimally invasive. The stomach is folded into itself, limiting the capacity of the stomach from about 50 ounces to 4 to 8 ounces. No cutting or stapling is performed so the risk of complications are obviously much smaller than traditional gastric bypass operations. Lap-band surgery is unique in that it requires implantation of the gastric band around the top of the stomach. The fill port is also implanted and attached to the Lap-band by a tube. Some patients have very low tolerance to these implants and the band must be removed when rejected by their body. A very few patients don't deal well with the fill procedure. To adjust the Lap-band saline solution is injected through the skin into the fill port. The Lap-band fill procedure is easily tolerated by most patients. But every once in while a patient has problems with the injection. Gastric plication only requires simple sutures (stitches) that are typically never rejected by the human body. It requires no maintenance (such as fills). The advantages of Gastric Plication over Lap-band and bypass surgeries: No foreign devices are implanted (the Lap-band is implanted along with its fill port and tubing). No adjustments are required (the Lap-band requires the injection or removal of saline solution to adjust it). food is far less likely to become stuck (food can more easily become stuck with the Lap-band). Gastric plication offers more restriction than Lap-band surgery. Reports on Gastric Plication surgery show 60-65% excess body weight loss in one year vs. 45-55% for Lap- band surgery (although individual results will vary, this is the average). No cutting of the stomach or the intestine (all gastric bypass surgeries include radical surgical reduction of the stomach and small intestine). Gastric Plication causes no nutritional deficiencies. Bypass surgery patients can suffer anemia, osteoporosis, Vitamin deficiency and Protein deficiency because the small intestine is radically shortened. Few food restrictions compared to Gastric Bypass or Lap-band surgeries. Patients can eat most anything, because even though the stomach is drastically reduced in size, it is not surgically altered and functions normally. Gastric Plication can be reversed more easily than any other surgery. hope this helps

its happening to me too been told to keep up wth protein and taking my vitamins and biotin will def ask my dr next tuesday at my 3 month follow up i had other surgeries before and never noticed any hair loss either i do also hope it stops or ceases

yes i had this in june i healed quick (alittle shoulder pain for about 5 days but nothing pain meds couldnt help) i had gallbladder surgery a few years ago so this was the same surgery and i wasnt scared at all i looked at this at taking care of me and controlling my life and making myself well. i wasnt sick (went #2 alot but that was the fluids in and fluids out thing) but imodium ad works (ask your dr always).......otherwise, i highly recommend it, hope this helps

it could be,,,being only 2 weeks post op, you could still be somewhat still swollen. just take baby bites, chew alot like the other posters said....also, just go slow..all the best honey

i agree with sojo and jim. my hub actually took the Protein shakes and a print out of the bartric advantage stuff to walmart to compare. same ingredients and i also consulted with my dr and nutritionist who advised just what jim said: (Bariatric Advantage is just a name. Don't let "bariatric" in the name fool you into thinking is it something special) so i get my Vitamins and Protein shake powder at my local walmart
