Medication
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to RandiCartmill's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
if you feel that (way) i would strongly recommend discussing this with your doctor so you two can work it out so that your meds work correctly. (in response to your post, my sleep meds, now that i cannot take pills and i crush them and i swear it makes me sleepy sooner) -
Are There Spammers On This Site??

as kristin says, yup (and trolls too) -
if your doctor gives your (rules/guidelines) its best to follow them. that is what they are there for. (all doctors are different as are people).

everyday vision i do that....sometimes in stress times at work, more than once......excellent post my friend

that is up to your doctor. i would ask (them) in stead of on this forum as you will get many different answers. all doctors are different. (i would assume they gave you a listing of the items on each phase). since you are on (liquids) that means liquids. cream of wheat is not (liquid). but again, its up to you and what your doctor says. wishing you all the luck in the world

Ok Guys What Books Are Good?
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to audreycat123's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
def and strongly recommend that band bible by our pal Jean. it tells you step by step (in a non doctorish) form what to expect, how to succeed etc.....def worth the purchase. mine is highlighted with so many colors, i told jean that it is visible from outer space. -

Weight Loss After Surgery
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to Duhs9919's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
congrats on the surgery but let me say that (weighing so close after surgery is just silly). as the poster said with the fluids and such, you will (most likely but not always gain). i would suggest to stop weighing for a couple of weeks and allow yourself time to (fully heal). you will be swollen/bloated (maybe some pain but i sure hope you are the lucky one w/no pain what so ever).......and i do not want you on that scale saying (gained) and you get all upset. most of the time its not because you (gained weight). its Fluid. anyhow, congrats on your surgery. stay positive and stay off the scale for a while. you will do fabulous -

**One harmful consequence of the fills=weight loss myth is that the patient seeks more and more fills in the Quest for “perfect restriction” (also a myth) or the legendary (but also mythical) “sweet spot.” This patient tends to tolerate side effects and eating problems that can cause serious damage to them and their band because they’re so focused on finding that perfect but elusive fill level and believes (erroneously) that the more Fluid in their band, the better.*** i will remember this when i ever start gtting fills...........thanks jeanie
