Need Talking Off the Ledge
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to krps0930's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
as long as you try and do the best you can (and def follow your dr's instructions for best results) you will do just fine...be realistic...be open minded and understand its a day in and day out process...its not overnight quick/easy fix....you are very attractive right this moment and i know that the person is a scared female whose past dieting attempts has made her doubt herself......i know as that was me also 19 months ago.... you will eat good/healthy foods exercise and you will lose weight.....let the band (or any WLS) help you... you just help yourself.....you can do this.... -

☠carolinagirl☠ replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
at work, they keep it cold, so i wear a heavy sweater to compensate and also a heating blanket......i was cold super morbid obese too so me losing weight has nothing to do with that being cold there.......at home, i use a blanket when i am on the couch....and if ole man aint looking, turn up the heat -

Is anything wrong with using Whey Protein?
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to Babypee49's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i drink a whey protein shake nearly every day to gain weight, we must simply eat more calories then we burn off.... hope my answer helps some -
anyhow, since pot does cause some to munch best to have a prepared plan in cabinets/on hold.. try to keep as healthy options/choices you can just in case.. and if you over do it munch wise, remember its still cals in vs cals out

no matter what WLS you decide to get.....unless one changes what they eat and exercise, no WLS will be successful...no will power needed....its want power.....want to lose weight and get healthy bad enough to do what you need/must do to make it happen....best of luck

wow is all i can say here...the visual speaks to me does it you?

well, i was well over 330 pounds and my dr wanted me to do a bypass due to my size...i was as wide as i am tall.....and the band/pliacation i have works...the dr told me how to use it for best results and that is exactly what i am doing.....any WLS is a wonderful thing but no one WLS is better than the other...any WLS can and does have complications and sometimes not..you cant spend your life wondering will it slip, will i this or will i that......i was at a point to where i was in serious trouble.......i stopped hem hawing and got on with saving my life..... larger BMI people can lose weight faster than those who do not have as much to lose (i am now where some are just banded and it took me 19 months to get here)...we all lose weight 1/4 pound at a time (whether its the sleeve, the bypass, the band or nutri system......the same way as we gained it, 1/4 pound at a time.. to me, as long as one loses weight, gets healthy and changes their attitude from i cant and i never have been to yes i will....then whatever WLS one gets, has that chance to get well..as its about getting healthy, not being skinny or thin.......i wish you all the best.

Long Term With The Plication ?
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to luv2plumb's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
***Unfortunately all WLS has risks and individuals should research all the options and speak with their doctor to find out which procedure (if any) they feel comfortable with*** kindle ***I agree that all surgeries have their risks. Something to remember here is that with any surgery, complications aren't always immediate or just within the healing phase.I have also said before and will say it again...the reason we see the worse case scenarios here is because those with problems search out answers and come to these forums to get answers and verbalized concerns. Those without move on and live their lives. I'm here for the support with my weight loss and eventually will drift away myself when I no longer that. But, like others here, if I do have problems, I'll be back too.*** sandy well said both of you -
