    75 N Feels Not Enough

looking at how far you have to go is a def downer --so dont do it ( i think that way sometimes) focus on your sucess here and now coming into this weight loss world, we all knew it wasnt going to gone in 2 weeks you lost 75 so far. i think that is a huge success my advice is this, remember where you came from (weight wise when you started) to me, that says excellent job so far and absolutely not a reason to think its not good enough that is negative thinking and i wont allow you to think that way just because you (have a way to go before you at goal) should not make you depressed now that is just a waste of your time and energy and you deserve to treat yourself better you my dear are inspiring me to keep going.

    At The Beginning...

ok, so lets get the hard stuff out of the way back when i met with my surgeon, i ws the highest i ever weighed in my life my bmi was over 60 i was about as wide was i was tall (am 5'2) yeah that number through me for a loop but you know what it was reality. that was my starting point. we all got one of those. i didnt go to the dr because i needed a check up. i went because i was obese, could hardly walk and needed help and so i got it. just like you are. what we are today is not who we will be in the future the band will help you if you help yourself stay posiitve and just do what the dr instructs you to do its not easy but if losing weight was, we wouldnt be having wls. all the best to you. it'll be okay

    5 Weeks Post Op

i think being down 20 pounds is great. (as long as you are losing, that is what matters) some lose faster, some slower if you are feeling better, then to me that is a huge success i am sure soon, #2 baby will be here soon congrats on your surgery, you are doing really well

    What Is Plication

thats true sin, my apologies my surgeon performed this plication at no cost on top of my band. i was referring to the band that they covered. but still love tricare, they have been great to me. sorry about that. thanks terry
  17. i guess because we are all different, we react differently i was sore for a couple weeks. days 4-9 my left shoulder and neck hurt pretty bad but it got better i wouldnt say it was a breeze as i read on here of people walking a mile or two the next day and here i was, groggy and wanting a nap. i have had many surgeries and this wasnt so bad. i would suggest taking every thing with a grain of salt that you read on here because you wont know until you go through it. stay positive and stay upbeat and i am sure you will do spectacular. my only only advice is just do what your doctor says to do. hope you have a great day

    Weight Gain

i can so very relate i have arthritis also and it makes it hard for me to walk but i do what i can and ever little step does count (it really does) that being said, i do watch what i eat (and try not to take more in (calorie wise) then i can burn off i do focus on protein..alot of chicken and beef (3 to 4 oz only) and alot of veggies. i also drink alot especially when i get or think i am hungry i am larger than most (on here i suspect) so i am very strict with what i eat or dont eat you have to think positive.

i wonder if this is true: (but let me say i dont agree with the quick fix comment) The treadmill is the only way! Jessica Simpson 'sought quick fix with lap band surgery... but was rejected TWICE' We all know rolling out of bed to run up that hill or row on the exercise machine is no fun at all. So it seems Jessica Simpson may have been in search of a quick fix. The new mother, who is in a desperate bid to regain her pre-pregnancy body, is believed to have looked into weight loss surgery - but was turned down by doctors. Getting there! Jessica Simpson, pictured with fiancé and former NFL player Eric Johnson, is slimming back to her pre-pregnancy body thanks to a $4m Weight Watchers deal A source said: 'After her daughter, Jessica felt there was no way she could lose the weight on her own as she has struggled so much in the past and her post partum weight seemed to be growing.' The insider told Radar Online: 'So like a true Hollywood girl, she sought out a quick surgical fix - lap band surgery.' However, while the new parents are elated to have their new addition to the family, Jessica is now left struggling to rid herself of the excess 70-80lbs she gained while pregnant. The 32-year-old welcomed daughter Maxwell into the world on May 1, her first child with fiancé and former NFL player Eric Johnson. Speaking to USA Today, Jessica admitted: 'I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant, and I wanted to enjoy it. 'I wanted to be happy and eat what I wanted... I didn't realise it didn't all come off with the baby.' She also Enlightened fans as to where her weaknesses lay, telling Extra: 'I had buttered Pop Tarts... I'm eating a lot of stuff that I ate in my childhood. Kraft Mac n' cheese, Pop Tarts, Cap'n Crunch. Everything's filled with sugar.' Jessica has now decided to embark on a healthy approach to weight loss; altering her diet, exercising frequently, and of course a slight motivational push in the guise of a $4m Weight Watchers campaign.
