I agree. I can't believe that people that have fought this weight thing all/most of their lives still have not figured this out. I don't even own a scale in my home.

I agree. I don't obsess about the nip umber on the scale ..but what I see in the mirror. And I am starting to like what I am seeing. Follow post op protocol and the weight will take care of itself.

    Plateau Already?

5 pounds of fat is the same as 5 pounds of muscle......muscle is merely more dense and sometimes, the scale stays the same or gains.....HORRID......heck no.....you seem to be exercising and doing well......here is the question.....are you losing inches? are your clothes getting to big? or they baggier?? have you went down in sizes? if so, then you are losing true/actual weight regardless of what the scale says or does not say... stay the course eat right, eat healthy/eat clean exercising and the scale will catch up.....but as long as the inches are coming off, who really cares what the scale says or doesnt say......

    Is my Lap Band working?

yes the band is working and you will do fine...you were only banded a couple weeks ago.....the first 4 to 6 weeks you are healing and very swollen....TMF is right, go slow those video's offer great wisdom and knowledge. just because one has a band does not mean they will get stuck or they can eat as they did before...although some say different...for example: i have not ever been stuck and i am nearly 20 months post op....you will learn, eat slow, take small bites and enjoy eating and def eat Protein esp when truly hungry and not when one thinks they are. again, let your body heal up properly and now is a great time for you to get your mind into the game...as now you wil find as the swelling is going down, you may start to be hungry or hungrier...drink a lot, stay busy...eat to live and not live to eat anymore.. congrats on your recent surgery.

A successful journey? It’s up to you.

great post.. i can relate to this as i feel it is true i spent my adult life (dieting and failing over and over) and lost belief that i would ever be healthy....i was destined to be fat...once i sought help, gave instuctions to follow for best results and tried and did the best i could/can, i started to get better..stronger and yes, healthier.. i see/read things of people and go gosh, maybe if i this or that and find myself slipping back into that dieting thinking/comparing me vs super person........where i know, that i am losing inches at my pace,,,,,,,and if i keep doing what i am doing, i will get there.........eventually as you wrote, it IS up to me....

i was told to to tylenol liquid for pain after surgery (still use that to this day for fever, TOM etc) i buy the CVS/Walmart versions of it..(cheaper) and i take one night time pill that i crush....i am sure it would be okay to take whole but its just a habit now....

    Plication newbie here

    congrats on your surgery
  25. ☠carolinagirl☠

    Something is wrong you guys!

after surgery (any WLS) one is swollen from surgery itself.. this may explain why you cant eat much, i found it was that way with me. agree with christian, go slow and pace yourself.....eating too fast/too much can make you feel the way you described.
