GREAT JOB hang in there -
any WLS will work.....no one is better than the other. I feel if you do your best, do what your doctor advises you to do in order to have the best results, the sky is the limit.....the hard part is doing it..... i have the lap band/plication and have lost 156 pounds...so any WLS can and does work.....i feel the person is responsible for whatever they choose to work..... good luck

Band or Sleeve or Bypass
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to ☠carolinagirl☠'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
read up on the surgeries (all of them) to see what would be a good fit for you...remember any WLS works and none are better than the other no matter what anyone says.....WLS is a complete life (lifestyle) change and for best results, always do what the dr who operates on you advises.. i fear many people see just having WLS will automatically make them lose 100 pounds in one day.....the larger the BMI, they can lose faster at the beginning.. but it will come off the same way it went on, 1/4 pound at a time unless you decide to eat better, exercise, no WLS will help.......people get one surgery, it dont work for them and off they go to another one......the person looking at oneself in the mirror is a HUGE reason a WLS can work or not work.......(granted some complication can and does happen on any WLS) but those are small risks in my opinion to gain a longer life. so if you want to be healthy and get healthy do it....but expect to do some work... -
Maybe some advice?

listen to your body...it will tell you if you are okay enough to go back you maybe able to....i have read some people be able to do that..... good luck -
if you inches (buying smaller clothes, clothes getting to big), then you are losing/true actual weight regardless of what the scale says or does not say..focus on eating great foods, exercising and be happy that you are gaining weight.........think about what your doing GREAT instead of the bs what are you doing wrong. seems you are right on target

watching puppy bowl x
-
I won't watch the puppy bowl because my so & I watch it together and laugh at how cute they are , and we try to get our little chiwaha mix to do something she thinks she's a puppy still but she is like 5 yrs. old and right now she is missing her boy , she started whining last night so my Mom let her sleep with her.

a loss is a loss..... and if you lose inches (clothes getting big, need to smaller), that is a true and actual way to tell that you have lost weight, no matter what the scale says or does not say...... -

Why the negativity around Gastric Plication?
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to huberm's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
the band and plication has DEF helped my living life thanks for posting this simpson link catfish..... as i posted earlier on this thread: with any WLS, complications can and do happen......seems to me that the neg and false things are said by people who have idea what it is or how it works. for that info, its best to ask the WLS doctor.....as like with weight loss results, it varies and so will people's opinions on this. Lap-band surgery plus Gastric Plication may be the perfect surgical combination for super morbidly obese patients. Because Gastric Plication causes a quicker more complete satiety, the patient can eat much less food. The lap-band further limits the amount of food that can be initially ingested. But its most important job is to heighten the sensitivity of the nerves at the top of the stomach. Those are the nerves that send the signal to the brain that you are full. So the combination of Gastric plication with Lap-band surgery results in fast satiety with much less food than the individual surgeries. iLap surgery is a double restrictive procedure that is adjustable to keep it working over the long run as is required by super morbidly obese patients. It can result in the same weight loss as the Lap-band over gastric bypass. But the small intestine is untouched and completely intact so it will deliver all the nutrition and energy in food consumed by the patient. The energy a super morbidly obese person desperately needs to get on their feet and move. Lap-band and Gastric Plication surgeries can be reversed because none of the stomach or intestines are surgically removed. Because both surgeries are less damaging than gastric bypass, recovery time can be much shorter. Physical therapy and exercise may be able to be done sooner after surgery and with more intensity, possibly improving the patient's prospect for living. http://drsimpson.net/Gastric-Plication-weight-loss-surgery/Dr-Terry-Simpson-explains-gastric-plication-V/Dr-Terry-Simpson-explains-gastric-plication.html -
