    thanks time (lynn) i appreciate that. i know that was the case and reason i got fat/obese it wasnt because i used portion control..unless you calling eating it all til it was gone controlling portions

    please note that just doing all liquids is merely Water weight and not (losing weight) although its a great feeling and it counts seriously, life is too short to just eat mushies and liquids. food is great. you are gonna change what you eat and how much is all. now, chin up. shoulders back high heels on and put a smile on that gorgeous face you got this
  5. well mkb, i think that feeling in your throat is because of the swelling and maybe eating foods too soon after surgery. i know the maj of people with bands are on liquids for one to 2 weeks post op including myself. .you really need to let the insides heal and try to hold off on (foods) until the instructions that the dr gave you say its ok to move to mushies and or soft foods. congrats on your surgery though ps i love starbux too

    what is skinny foods? that is what i needed before i got to over 300 haha...my Snacks are healthy choices and def full of Protein as i can get and def more filling. both my surgeon and nutritionist said to do that....just my take on it all

    weighing yourself in post op does make you go like WTF is going on. please note that summer is probably correct, it most likely is Water or something. please stop with the scales until at least a month post op so you can rest and heal properly. going by how loose ones clothes are is a much better view of actual weight loss. scales go up and down all day long. you may have just weighed when it was up. your doing GREAT. just keep being positive.

    eating 2 cheese burgers is what made (and other items like that) people need WLS in the first place. just because you can eat 2 cheeseburgers, or a whole pizza or whatever does not mean one should. as you heal, the swelling goes down and you become hungry (that is how it worked w/me and i only reference what i experience). until the fills get you to that ((place call the zone)), we have to practice self control, Portion Control and just use good judgment. eat healthy choices/options.

    How Do I Get Enough Protein???

    if you go to any search engine and input high Protein foods, you will find lists of foods that have protein. that is what i did (and also spoke with my nutritionist and she gave me a similar hand out sheet). i myself am 70+ per day. sometimes more and sometimes less. i start off with 30 grams via a Protein shake for breakfast (with my dr's okay) and that is because i am too (tight) to eat in the mornings. I also eat 3 to 4 oz of chicken breast or beef (for example, 1-- 4oz serving of 96% lean beef is 24 grams of protein alone) and i also eat alot of Beans. (beans are soo good and filling). that may be the reason maddy and aj say i am so full of it so its easy to get your protein. you just have to eat. so go look at all the high protein foods and make your selection. please begin regular follow ups with your dr to let them know who you are mentally and physically. you went through all the steps to make yourself well. dont waste another moment. pick yourself up and get right back on track. you did this once and i have no doubt that you can do this again. let us know how the dr appt goes thursday

    let me also add, for anyone reading this thread, jeannie is one of the nicest people and will offer advice or just listen to anyone regarding the band or whatever else you wanna talk to her about.. if you have concerns about the band, ask her. in my opinion, she is a know it all when it comes to the band in my opinion and i mean that in all the best meanings and also someone whom i call a friend.

Fear of change. – Life is change. Every day is different. Every day is a new beginning and a new ending. Embrace it and make the best of it. All work and no play. – Enjoy yourself and have a little fun while you can. If you’re smiling, you’re doing something right. People or beauty ads that make you feel inadequate. – Good looks attracts the eyes. Personality attracts the heart. Be proud to be you. You are already beautiful.     aj i think having a step mom like you setting the example in regards to food and lifestyle changes is wonderful all you can do is be there for her and that is what truly matters..making healthy food is the best thing to do.

    because we are different people, we all have different stories, doctors and take on things i recommend following your dr's orders. now i eat a cup of food because that works for me i eat when i am hungry and i do have snacks. the thing i focus on is Protein first and fresh nothing from box or processed. we are not on a diet so keep that in mind. living to live and not living to eat. eat good and eat well and eat healthy. you can do it. sounds like you are doing well so far

    if your dr said it was okay, then i would assume its fine maybe not so if there is creamers and sugar and such. if in doubt, ask your dr i drink a large black each and every day
