yes wendy and time....that is the one when i first got banded, i cannot tell you how often i was told just you wait i met a couple nice gals but jeannie told me to get off it and i have done that and am much much happier...

i did awesome------no doubt.......i just talked to the cam like i do talking to the agents and whomever else.. i did about 16 vids (3 to 4 min a piece) explaining the steps to use our website (its a software program) that banks, credit unions use.... my pic is about the size of quarter but the cutting and splice part, my fat face took up whole half size.....def broke into tears once...... def wish my b***** friends were there w/me.

i will be gone in a while for a meeting here at work but i will def be online tonight.....who else is planning on being here tonight w/me??

i 100% agree with you thank you for writing what i think if someone goes through the trouble (the pre ops/post ops, appts etc)...why on earth are you still ((eating)) like you did in order to need WLS?? eating every so oftens every so often is fine. but its better to eat good/healthy foods most of the time. also, the ones who dont follow procedures/instructions/suggestions from dr's and nutritionists are the ones who usually end up saying the band isnt working.....

**let me add briefly......this pre and or post op liquid...is only for a short while (yes it seems like forever)**

i think that unless your dr gave you a specific # to lose, i wouldnt worry about what number..its all water weight anyhow (but it does count and it does make you feel wonderful). like you, i was in the 300's and i was on the all liquid for 20 days prior to surgery and 2 weeks after. just focus on that liver shrinking and looking gorgeous when the dr goes in there to move it around so the band can be fitted. you get your mind set straight and follow your dr's orders and you are sure to be a winner. (your dr and maya was correct, we all are different heights, weights, physical whatevers). some larger may lose more than some who are not as large as others..that is why what you lose doesnt matter (unless your dr said to lose a said amount. if that is the case, really follow the game plan). ps--also, stay off the scale before and after surgery as that wont matter until you are healing after the surgery. the more you watch the scale going up or down, you will def throw yourself into a not needed tizzy.lll all the best and it will be here before you know it.

you are gonna get through like me and so many others did one day at a time.....and just taking it slow....this is a mental game..you must focus on the goal at hand (not the pre op even though that is all you are thinking about).. with me, i had to do 20 days all liquid before surgery and thought i'd never do it... i truly did......but i wanted this to help save my life that i just did it..i took the bulls tail and held on for dear life.... hub told me once when i was complaining, you wanted this surgery so do what you have to do in order to get it. YOU can do this if you want....you can..you just need to believe in yourself. i believe in you.
