you are still very swollen from surgery so it is going to have to heal. i am surprised you are not on liquids only 4 or 5 days out. i and many others were on liquids 1 or 2 or more weeks on liquids. but that is why this forum is awesome because we have so many different doctors/ideas. i would suggest sipping your liquids often and slowly.....and foods although i would advise you not too right now, you dr okay'd it, so make it as mushy as you can and go very slow....its hurts because you are swollen, or eating too fast or too big of a big......you just need to go very slow. all the best.

well, they fixed a hernia i didnt even know i had during my surgery..sure i was nervous....because no matter what anyone here or anyone else says, until you do it and go through it, you have no idea what its like. that being said..worried about what? is your dr operating in the back of a shed? does he resemble mr magoo?? if so, then yeah, id be worried too. please relax (yeah i know easier said then done) but you can do this. if you dont want to do it, then dont if you dont, unless you change your eating 100% you will stay where you are at or get bigger (that was me).. so get your head on straight do what you have to do to make yourself well follow your dr's orders as they are there for a reason (if you cheat the banded b's will come for you HAHA) i am so proud of you

simple, 2 reasons one, my insurance did not cover it two, because my insides would not be cut that being said, i went in wanting the lap band and never diverted...sure they said to get the bypass but i did not want my insides rerouted or cut because once that happens, you cant undo it.. the band is work. its not an easy fix. you gotta help it by eating right and eating the allotted amounts. so if you help the band, you can and will be successful. do what works for you as you are the one who is going to be living with it. all the best

well, comfy clothes to get in and out of quickly and shoes also i would bring a (heating pad) and some pillows chapstick (was a lifesaver) since you will swollen, you will be sipping so bring fluids you like to drink but the most important thing is bring a positive attitude. you will be well and you will do just fine. do not over think it or stress out. let the dr's do their thing and you do yours, by resting, taking your meds, stay alert to your body for signs of anything and follow your doctors instructions. congrats on your upcoming surgery.

you deserve to treat yourself better than cheating although some consider it okay, some do not if you cheat on your post op, you could injure yourself. its so not worth it. the way i see it, if you cant control what/how you eat now, how can you after the band. the band will help you eat less but it wont stop you from eating the wrong types of foods.. i wish you all the luck in the world...congrats to you
