    Keeping a positive attitude.

    excellent post me luvs ya
  4. recently, i have been able to wear (pants) comfortably again as i am down 8 sizes down since june before they were so tight that if i ate or drank i felt as though my circulation would be cut off.. so today i am wearing a pair of gray cords and i am sitting in my chair..comfortably..and i am not dying from them being too tight or thinking that when they come off i will have scars where the zipper and buttons go... and in the past, the buttons were so tight i feared i may get arrested if they flew off and hit someone. so that is my silly success story thought i'd share

What do you have for Breakfast?

like my bud rojo, i do a protein shake every morning couple reasons, one because i like the taste (and i like having those proteins in me) and two because most mornings i am (full feeling) and just not very hungry. do feel like you miss anything, if you want something, eat it. dont deprive. just eat smart portions. enjoy food. that is what its about.

finding time to eat-it's hard :(

First day after surgery in alot of pain

should not be throwing up so soon after surgery. and surprised they gave you (pills). i agree with the posters above me, call the dr TODAY advise them of your pain and the throwing up (as that is a major no no so soon).....see if they can help. hang in there.

    can't exercise

when i got the band in june, i couldnt do much either. i also have bad knees and my weight made my legs hurt so i couldnt stand long or walk (very far)....so i did what i could.......and because i cant walk marathons or run/jog etc.....i mentally accepted that i had to take in less calories to counter act the physical part. if you take in more cals than you burn off, that is how i got obese. so i am doing the opposite. and now i am up to nearly 2 blocks a night walking i am still very careful of my cals. def start over with eating your allotted amounts. Protein is fuel and makes you feel full.(does me and that is all i base my posts on). just do what you can with what you have.

    What Motivates You?

knowing that if i do not (walk even though its only a block or a block and a half) or eat more than my allotted amount, i could get back over the 300# very easy. for that not to happen, i gotta just do it. no excuses. just doing it even when i dont want too or am pms or crabby or fussing from work and with hubby. i get my doberman and we go (most of the time hub goes w/me).

No Restriction 2 Weeks Post Op

i understand the (no restriction feeling). because after banding, since we are so swollen, we get that (sensation of being full). that being said, with me at 6 months post op today and no fills, i am making myself eat my allotted amount and eating/thinking like i am at full restriction. def mind over matter. hang in there.

Fallen Soooo Far Off The Wagon :(

ok so you (got off course) get right back on it. the dr and the nutritionist gave you not only a fantastic tool to aid you in getting your healthy body back but also great advice on what to eat and not to eat and how much. so start by following those instructions again...its pretty simple. start over (now).

    Virtiouswoman

well, fills are to aid you in eating less but you can begin now to eating better and using portion control and eating your allotted amounts before the fills start. i have no fills yet but am eating as if i am at full restriction. dont want for that magical fill to solve your problems. def more a mental game than anything else. as the b's grammy and love said, what is the rush? go one day at a day....allow the band to work and you help it. you will do just fine. congrats on the starting of this new journey you are on

I Swalloed An Olive ... Whole!

if you are able to drink then i think you are okay. but not a dr so i dont know for sure i had a run in with a jolly rancher not that long ago (same scene as your olive) and all is well. my dr said if i can drink ok then the little thing has passed on through. just relax and dont fret (coming from me who frets like crazy). let me know how you did
