    Lap band removal or revision

    i think that with a band or without the band or any WLS, one gains weight by eating more calories than they burn off...so while the band is out and you are healing for revision, watch your cals in vs cals out so you wont gain (as much) if any. its hard but you can do it...you are so worth it......best of luck.

    A question for the fellas

    i know this one was for the guys but like TMF, my hub has changed with my eating he has lost about 25 pounds, and with us walking/doing more my WLS has improved not only my life, but his??..... so its a win win....we both exercise more, we both eat better and the sex...well, what can you say?? ♥

    dont post every day but i do step aerobics every day for 30 minutes *its on (me) if i do not exercise* but i feel strongly, do something even if you dont think its much, at least it IS better than nothing

    i like #2 i am one who feels food is not good or bad some are just better than others and we just need to choose better granted sometimes the not so great ones taste better IE mcdonalds french fries vs raw carrots LOL and 3500 calories is a pound (ate or drank) whether it is carrots or french fries great list..enjoyed reading it.

    Not as unhappy as I used to be

    yes i think we all get/feel this way and excellent job on the loss so far.. this winter for me and many others has been rough and def a damper.. but the motivation you need and one simply to remember is where you were physically/weight/size wise when you started on your WLS journey..its so easy for you gain that weight back so dont...dont do it...you know what to do.....eat great foods, exercise and stay positive....warm weather or not........my suggestion is one i use myself.....i have a picture of me and my hub wearing a skirt together that i wore by myself...and if that dont encourage me, nothing will... hang in there okay.....

    no but there are times my mind thinks it can eat more then i know i need to or (can thanks to the WLS i have).....i am grateful i can only eat so much for it i was able to, i would surely be over 400 by now......me wearing 12/14's is better than anything could ever taste.......

    i take time to weigh/measure and prepare my weeks' lunches at work its as simple as grab and go..sure it takes time but worth it...and we buy in bulk meats and it is also measured out to 4oz servicing...i feel its worth the effort...we deserve that

(and the last 2 games UNC played, i stepped up and down on my box fo the entire game)....counting that way to go everyone who is exercising........remember EVERYTHING in movement counts no matter what you do....or how long.....as long as YOU do

    Pre-Op Diet Questions

    yes i had 2 1/2 weeks liquid before surgery and 2 weeks after liquids..it was brutal the first 4 or 5 days.....but it is doable..(liquids in means liquids out so keep immodium AD handy).....what got me through it was SF popsicles and a lot of keeping my mind busy, going to bed early etc.....but the main reason i did it was my dr said if he operated and my stomach/liver wasnt like it needed to look, he wouldnt do the surgery.....that scared me to death...and it made me do what i had to do in order to have the surgery i did......dont be nervous....do it and make yourself well...YOU CAN..
  17. that was and is me at times still. use the (fear you have for past failures to reoccur) to make you even stronger NOW....you know what to do to lose weight (eat better/exercise) and now you have a great aid to assist you....it is there to help.....i got wls because i found out i was going to be a grandmother...i wanted to merely WALK her around the block in her stroller....i couldnt.....i can NOW.....and i use that energy to push me to continue going forward...the past is past and never to return..the ONLY way you will screw it up is by stop believing in yourself..and that won't happen.. be strong my friend...you are stronger than you know hon.

    i say get the one your doctor and yourself feel is best for you. with any WLS, results will vary.....all the best to you.

    How do you know if band slipped?

    terry was on point on her post.....and your dr is the only one who'd know if your band slipped or not.....always refer to the dr if you are super concerned/worried....alittle fluro xray and your fears are put to rest

    Year out what do you eat on daily basis?

    i am a bander but i eat lean Proteins, veggies, some fruit and i drink a lot... i stay away from potatoes, rice, Pasta, boxed/processed items)..

    i suggest patience and let your body heal before you sart focusing on losing weight...it will come in time.. go slow, sip and sip and keep on sipping.......congrats on your surgery

    well......step aerobics (up and down the entire time UNC played Pitt (we lost badly btw) and then hub came home and we went for a long walk.......not that long ago, i couldnt...... and that is what having WLS is all about..........getting well/getting healthy and living.

    great post tmf........i want to say that me having WLS allowed me to again to step aerobics without surgery, i do not believe i could have..grateful to my band/plication.
