    i would use salsa in place of the seasoning as that is all salt. otherwise, sounds good to me
  3. i agree with grammy and m1 i believe in want power....i had to want to have the band work enough to follow the guidelines they laid out...if i dont, it most likely wont..ask yourself, do you really want to do this? if you truly do, stop (dieting as we all know they dont work) and do what you have to do and get on with it.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED

    to gain weight, one must take in more calories than they burn off. my band will help me (fill fuller) so i need to be aware of what i eat... i did the research and i prepared myself to either do it or not.

    giving up because you have lost 40 pounds?? and just because the scale is not moving doesnt not mean your band is also not working dont get into that drama...this (pause) will pass the only way it wont is if you start eating more cals than you burn off... you are rocking this...keep it going

    health issues due to losing weight too fast

    i dont know if i buy that (about keeping it off or health issues) because from my own experience, in my past, when i lost 25 or 50 or whatever amount i put it back on by going back to my eating lifestyle...so losing weight in my eyes, doesnt really matter how fast or how slow...everyone is different so what one loses is different (and the more weight one loses, chances are their health improves)...and my health has improved tenfold and then some what should matter, is keeping it off with the bands help and making good food choices

    if it was me....i would have refried beans and some chicken (would request on the side, onion, tomato, cheese, salsa) and make my own mexican cup of food.......yep, if it was me..but this is about you... happy birthday to your hub..dont overthink it, just eat/choose smart, eat your allotted portion and enjoy

    I don't quite get it

    love and tmf is right, the stomach doesnt change size with the band and no matter how small one's stomach is (ie: plication, sleeve, bypass) if one continues to eat high fat, processed..foods, high cal drinks and shakes and cheap slide soft foods, you wont lose weight..

    i cant speak for fills as i have none...but making bad food choices is not helping you.. you have to make the decision to eat better foods.and not overeat just because you can.... and to wish for alittle pain when you eat seems not right to me...i want no pain what so ever....i am sure someone can offer more than i have but a trip to your surgeon and or nutritionist seems to be what you need.

    Learning what "satisfied" means

    not sure i can speak but what i feel is this....i was never satisfied. i wanted more and more and then more...the band gave me that extra push and with me figuring out that no i wont starve to death on a cup of food and that i was feeding my body, i learned that i was satisfied with my allotted amount...for me, it boiled down to me making the decision to eat smart...and think smart...not sure my comment means much to anyone but its the answer i wanted to give.

    i hate being the odd ball out.......but i weigh only at my dr's for my monthly follow up's. i go by how loose my clothes are and how much more (mobile i am becoming because for a while, i couldnt get around)..

    Eating disorder

    i did the bulemia in high school, its not pretty. and so i understand. years of therapy helped me. i am not gonna be easy on you so i am sorry now for what i am writing. being banded and throwing up is not good. and doing what you wrote is not good. kudo's for you seeing a doctor even if it was a short time. you need to get to your lap band doctor to check the status of your lap band and let me add, your health is more important then someone finding out you have a lap band. you had to be overweight to get it in the first place. so you saying, i am ashamed of my eating habits and having surgery is crap in my eyes. you had the surgery so you had to care at some point. ....and who cares what the f**k anyone thinks anyhow. its like buttholes, we all got one. you are stronger than you know..its up to you to believe that or not....keep doing what you are doing is only hurting yourself. not living is not a pretty option.

    How I deal with stress and negativity

    using my want power, i do not eat when i am stressing or dealing negative people in my life.......thankfully i am able to use other coping measures. at work, with rude people, i take a walk up and down the halls....at home, in MIL issues or TOM issues with hub, i take a short stroll or take a hot bath and lose myself in a book.....come to far to let (food) get in my way. great post
