you were banded less than a week, gas/farts is going to happen..its major surgery so its gonna hurt/be uncomfortable.....and you need to stay hydrated because you know if you dont, it can make you not feel well..and because you are still swollen from surgery, its hard for liquids to go down and hence why you need to sip all day long.....you need to help yourself by doing what you need to to make this work. its not a walk in the park or a quick fix....you have to heal, you have to maintain a positive attitude (even when it sux or it hurts) and really as m1 said, way too early for you to be giving up....the band will help you, but you gotta help it and yourself first.

    Wrong choice?

well, I am guilty of comparing myself also to others. I have a great friend who has the sleeve also and you know what, I have lost MORE than she has..she is saying to me here lately, maybe I should have got the band....the point is, you lose at your rate to fit your body. the larger you are, the quicker you lose...no idea why but its true....so who cares (like miss and tmf said) who loses why before you do..does it matter? did you have a time limit set to lose before your arms fall off? ......what matters is you are losing weight.....end of story........and just because someone has the sleeve or the bypass, it is not a guarantee they will lose, you still need to change what you eat.....the amounts and have a mental attitude of wanting to lose weight, not just have surgery to lose weight....sorry if this is rough, but come on. it just burns my gears to see you not even giving you and your band a chance to work and YOU WILL....you just started your process...do what you have to do to lose weight.....and it looks as if you are..i see no issues...I see only success so far

i also have a 14cc band i felt (restriction) from the beginning...when i eat (more then my allotted) it gets uncomfortable and i feel (full).....i do look forward to fills in the future... so until that happens, i will just eat like i am suppose to and stop ..

I need someone to kick my ass...

we have all been there so no need to kick your butt from experience, we seem to be our own worse enemies so you stated you lost 100 pounds...to do that you had to be eating less calories which is awesome..so stop eating crap food...its that simple...nothing wrong with having pringles every so often, but healthy lean Protein, veggies and fruit is way more better for you than high fat, high calorie junk foods.. sure it tastes good but that is what made us obese in the first place. so start drinking alot......stop eating at 20 min and dont eat more than what your doctor allotted for you and your band.. so stop doing what you clearly know is not right and do what you know you have to...make yourself well. ps: i grew up in charleston...graduated from berkeley high

    Losing too fast

a loss is a loss and when it slows down, and it will you will wish you could still lose this fast.. congrats on the surgery and also the great loss

    Decisions decisions

which ever surgery you get, its not a miracle you will have to learn to eat better foods and have a entire mental attitude change so many people go into this WLS and expect it to drop off...its not easy any WLS has pros and cons.....dont get it if you are just gonna expect to wing it... i see it all the time on here, someone get a band and in 2 months, they are wishing they got the sleeve.....little do they know, if they just tried...the band could work and just because they got the sleeve, it doesnt guarantee weight loss. have the surgery if you really want to lose weight and that means want it bad enough to actually follow how to use it and then do it..hemming and hawing will only keep you big and most likely get bigger.

    Anyone else have hiccups?

usually a small sign for me that i have had enough....also a sign i am drinking too fast
  23. little baggies of carrots, grapes, nuts, protein bars, bottled water, apples and make your own trail mix.....lots of healthy options
  24. some days, if i am super stressed at work like i was this week, i wasnt hungry a bit..but i do drink alot....agree with tmf and lellow, vomit is not a good thing..if it happens more than once, let you dr know
  25. ☠carolinagirl☠
