    How Did you do on the 4th?

    i also did great not only did i do alot of swimming but i did alot of walking i ate well, made healthy choices and ate my allotted amounts and let the band tell me when we were done by listening to it--signs are always there i had the best holiday in a long time..and hope everyone else did also

    Back to work question

    i was banded on a wed and also planned on going back to work the next monday...i ended taking the whole next week off (and boy i was sure glad i did for #2 and left shoulder and being tired)..i am also like the others, working at a desk and use a pc/phone all day...but i think some can go back to work sooner than some and way to go if you can...just judge your body and go back when ready

    Movie challenge

    i make at home the little 100 calorie pop corn and bring it inside my purse (along with carrots/grapes)..just go and enjoy the movie and not over think it, just make good choices i enjoy seeing movies....although very disappointed in the lone ranger even if i only saw it because of johnny depp.
  6. my other dr (i am guessing you mean my ob/gyn/dentist etc) they think its outstanding and my reg PCD played a major part in helping me getting the band/plication in the first place and she is happy with the progress i have me so far...i think i answered your thread right, if not, sorry

    hey there.........well i boil chicken breast til done, and just pull apart so it resembles pulled pork..you can also chop into wee pieces or toss in a mixer and whirl a few times to help the process. and i think you can use any meat (or even tofu i feel would be good as you can season it in any fashion)

    when i first joined this forum i had no idea there were different brands of banding bands...so i asked my dr which one would i get...he told me he uses the allergen band...he didnt say why...seems to be working for me so far.

    Do people treat you differently?

    i was more insecure the bigger i was...i let everything and everyone get to me...affect my emotions..affect my day....now that i have lost weight, self confidence has come back...little by little...i carry myself different..i feel different..i am different..before i was the jolly super morbid obese lady, today i am just virginia...what you see is who i am and boy it is sure nice to see/be her again.....hub seems to like seeing me again too...losing weight has me made me treat myself better.....because i deserve it...
  11. like with all things, it varies so there is no set amount to lose at any time larger bmi people tend to lose more at the beginning the some who werent as large as i was when i started...pre and post op liquid diet is mainly water weight and it a wonderful start to help motivate us to keep going..so you just keep following your doctors instructions as to what to eat etc and the weight you are to lose, will happen according to your body. congrats on your surgery

    well worrying about what you did is doing you no good now and its essentially a waste of time start back on program right now...whats done is done and we cant change what happened yesterday, but we can change what happens today

    hub and i went to walmart to stock up on our 4th of july mini trip and he came across these grapples it does taste alittle like grapes mixed with apples this pack of four cost 3.97 here is the nutritional info in case you are wondering i prefer my pink lady apples over these but they are not bad..

    Green zone

    i personally dont eat packaged lunch meat as it has alot of sodium but i dont think it is all bad, there just are better choices...i have no idea if i am in the zone, my dr thinks i am as i lose monthly and consistently....i prefer to think of it as the pink zone haha, but i get full quick and bascially let the band do its thing...i think with all comments that you get, people's views vary..

    never heard of a time limit but i dont know to my understanding it is with me forever unless they find a problem i wouldnt be overly concerned

    liquids and soft/mush in and that is what comes out.... see if your dr okays immodium ad.......and def start a daily probiotic and this has helped me alot...but only if your dr says its okay...it gets better

    What's full feel like to you?

    not sure if my plication helps, but i do get a (full) feeling at the allotted amount cut off that my dr told me about.......its like you need to un-do your belt after a thanksgiving dinner at my grannys..very uncomfortable feeling and not something i enjoy either..bloated feeling.....the others said it perfectly, dont eat til full...eat til you are (satisfied)....the band is a great thing...(and let me add, just because one can eat more than they are suppose to, doesnt mean they should)...need some sense to not push boundaries..
