    I think I'm in trouble...too tight?

call your doctor and tell them and let them advise you.. from what i have read on this forum, maybe too tight and having a band is not being as tight so you cant drink/eat....((hurting yourself is far worse then not wanting to be unfilled....that should be the furthest thing from your thoughts now)...call your doctor TODAY
  4. i never realized how important this is/was..once while eating with my ole man, i noticed he took a big drink after nearly every bite....i asked him why...and he said so he can make it go down and make room for more.....BOOM good answer...

    Head hunger

when i started my pre op, i had a book called band wagon, wrote by jeannie mcmillian..and it talked about something called head hunger...and after pm'ing her with questions (that continue to this day).....i learned that head hunger is true....to find out if you are truly hungry, drink something first and if that solves the issue, you werent really hungry, you only think you are....sitting in front of the tv, or bored or upset or whatever, can cause us to overeat/graze etc.....but you can control it......if you are hungry, for real, eat.......if you are just thinking you are, drink something (cold preferrably) and i bet that will solve this issue in 95% of the cases... and eating til you vomit or pb'ing is doing you nor your bad any good....that is just asking for trouble....need to get your head in the game...i say that because i had to get mine in the game....i was well over 300+.....it was either solve the issue or get bigger...i made my decision....what was yours?

    Afraid to do something wrong...

dont be afraid they sewn the band onto your stomach and it would take a good bit to make it move in that fashion...why it is best to follow the dr's instructions in regards to the amount of food you eat, carbonation etc....to make sure this doesnt happen...sure some things do happen, but why worry about something that may or may not happen..... i am 13 months post, no issues (never stuck or anything) and there are plenty of others way longer than me with NO issues dont worry.....enjoy this new life you are beginning. (again)

    Why the Lapband?

if you really want to lose weight and are willing to do what the doctor advises you to do even when it gets tough, then you dont need anyone to talk you into it..you either do it...or you remain where you are or get bigger..you wrote you are not afraid to work for it...sounds as if you are by requesting someone to talk you into it.. any WLS can help, but unless you help it, none will work

Why being fat may not be your fault!

i think its a good article..and it seems to be credible..like missy, my side of the family was on the large size...i will just say about me..i know is i got super morbid because i overate a lot and didnt exercise..
  24. re-read the thread, most the of the people including ME feel bad for you and anyone struggling...if i could make you better i would....makes me sad that you and whomever is struggling so..if that makes me a bad person then so be it......NO one is saying your lying or full of BS .....if your injured, i wish you the best and i hope you get well soon or can.....there is room for everyone.....those with complications and those without...
