    yes you can do this...look at how far you came?? we all (or the majority have been through this)...you coming this far lets me know you are very strong mentally and can and WILL do this.....SF popsicles saved me (and took care of my chewing part).....i use them even now....hang in there.....its so worth it and in 6 months time, you will be on here telling people the same thing.. :wub:

    Open Letter

    I wanted to take a moment and say ((thank you)) to each and everyone who has supported me in this last yr on this forum. The support and friendships that I have made have helped me more than I can say. I still have a ways to go before I can say I am at (goal) but I feel in my heart, I will get there. It is so nice to have (this forum) to come to read about success and struggles and it is very nice to know one is not alone in this weight journey. We may have different paths but we are in the same bracket. The main goal is to get healthy and live a better quality life. So if you read this, thank you for being you and for being supportive.     if you are losing (inches) then you are losing weight the scale may not show what you want (or stuck or not moving) but if you are doing the right thing (eating/being active), it is working

  13. i dont know if your story is true or not.....the only thing i can say is with what you wrote here: "All the people promoting these have great stories with very little complications. Get a room full of people who have had issues, then make your decision" not everyone has issues shame on you for trying scare tactics and yup, call me a band cheerleader (great story/no comps) if you want i was just called a snob yesterday so i can take it.. i have an open mind and feel for anyone who has issues but what you did and others do is wrong in my opinion

  16. dont be scared....follow the dr's instructions the best you can.....and dont worry about what could or could not happen.....chances are most likely nothing will......its so worth the small risks.....any questions, concerns or doubts ASK YOUR DOCTOR.....

    Getting frustrated

    ok, so the scale isnt moving,,but are you losing weight? judge by your clothes..area they getting roomier? are you needing to go down a size? if you are losing inches, you are losing weight......(good job).....keep doing what you are doing even if you think its not working......because it is..

    Food to feel full.

    i eat lean proteins (chicken breast, 96% lean beef patties/steak, cheese cubes) and alot of protein rich veggies aka beans....that is what keeps me full longer (and i do also drink protein shakes (i love them myself and enjoy drinking me a chocolate milkshake)...if you are hungry, eat real food and def drink alot more..sometimes being hungry is just your body saying drink more

    Pasta and rice with lap band????

    some eat it and some dont as you can see i personally have had no issues with eating whatsoever with anything...that being said, i just choose not to eat rice/pasta as they are not very filing to me and i prefer to eat my allotted amount of food on lean protein/veggies/fruit..but that is just me....(i was not ever a big pasta eater anyhow) but i sure did love to chow down on mexican rice and yellow saffron rice.....

    Cheating on pre-op diet

    well kinda late to worry about it now whats done is done...i am hoping you can get the surgery tomorrow......if you do, its best to follow the post op diet to not hurt/harm yourself....best of luck tomorrow, see you on the banded side
