    Post Op Day 7

I just couldn't keep up the liquid diet after 3 days past surgery. I was extremely weak, and felt really sick. I started out with a scrambled egg (cooking spray - no oil) as well, and it helped a LOT. I've ate soft foods ever since then. Just remember to chew chew chew, and eat very slowly. And I wouldn't eat full foods, just soft. Good luck!

    Wheres My June Bandsters??

I was banded on 6/12, and had to sleep in a recliner for the first week, as lying on my back made me very nauseous. After the first week I could sleep lying down, but I've never been able to sleep long on my back, but was also scared of trying to sleep on my side. I bought myself a body pillow ysterday, and had the best sleep last night that I've had in a long time. It supports and cushions enough to be able to sleep on my side comfortably.

    Ibanded One Week Ago Today!

I was starving on liquids too. I started reading through all of my booklets that I was given from day 1 until surgery day, and saw where I could have certain foods upon being discharged from the hospital. I was ecstatic! So since then (I was banded on 6/12) I have had eggs, baked chicken, soft cheese, and stuff like that. It doesn't take much to fill me up thank God. But I feel sooooo much better with a little fuel. And I have definitely remembered to chew, chew, chew and eat VERY slowly.

    Hiatal Hernia Repair When Banded?

I don't know if it makes it harder, I just know with my experience, that I have horrible nausea. But I don't know if it's due to the hernia repair or just the band surgery.
  6. Has anyone else experienced extreme nausea after surgery? I'm four days post-op, and still can't even lie down due to extreme nausea...

    Hiatal Hernia Repair When Banded?

I had a hiatal hernia repair as well. My surgery was four days ago, on the 12th. I still have pain as well. Especially when I cough. The main problem I'm having, is nausea. I can't even lie down without extreme nausea. Are you having this problem?

    Wheres My June Bandsters??

My surgery date is June 12th! I am super excited! Although I'm nervous about the four days of liquids BEFORE surgery. I just know that I'm going to be starving! Ugh! But I am so excited to FINALLY be banded in 6 more days! I have wanted this for years, and never thought that I would be able to get it. Thank you God for another chance at life

    Dear Candy Bowl...

I wish I had your willpower! chocolate is a major vice for me. But once I get banded, and know that I absolutely can NOT have it anymore, I'll be ok (this is what FINALLY made me quit smoking). I want this surgery more than anything, and once I get it, I won't screw it up for chocolate, fried foods, or even my beloved mexican cuisine.... But you guys keep up the great work! I wish you all the best!
