  1. hmm thats interesting. I was like way to punish a fat girl for loosing weight in the past! lol cuz my bmi never stays..cuz i loose wt and then gain weight in about 50lb increments..im like well i would have been better on in the long run to have stayed heavy. Hopefully they will accept my come and go issues with it...after all it does show that its weight related most of it! hmmm
  2. I work in admitting at our local hospital so i just pulled up the information on the provider sight....not sure why i didn't think of this sooner! But sure enough i have to have the bmi of 40 for 2 years.. or a bmi of 35 and a co-morbidity and i dont. It fluctuates. I have had 35 for 7 years now. I have had issues with hypertension and cholesterol which are both labeled in the co-morbidity section on the requirement BUT they have both been intermittent and not consecutive. I only take a prescribed water pill and take natural stuff for cholesterol because i dont like taking medication,my dr keeps saying i should take some, i guess i should just take the prescription. so i dont know if that is considered enough. The guidelines arnt really clear. Im not sure what they are looking at. Im guessing you have to be diagnosed AND treated long term for it...?
  3. so i have to have a bmi of 40 for 2 years? i think its been between 5-45 it changes drastically allll the time uggggg
  4. Hello, I have Bcbs of North Carolina and it says i have to have a bmi of 40 (which i do...barely) but it says i have to loose 10% of my excess weight before surgery. My question is IF i loose the Ten percent of my excess weight that will put my bmi just under 40, so will they not cover it then?
  5. omg i should re-read these before i post.... i watched...not watch...
  6. hmmm good question. I watch a show on i think discovery the other day "mexican drug war" It did speak of tijuana alot but they also mentioned that they dont bother tourist because they like the tourist because they help econically and spend money. I dont know. Im just going to wait until i feel comfortable with either here or there i guess. I dont want to make a rash decison, plus i still need to come up with funds for either place. I kind of wanted to know what amount i was needing but i guess ill just shoot high for now. its so interesting the very strong and opposite views people are giving me reguarding to go mexico or us. Im taking both into consideration right now. ahhh so confuesing!
  7. thats funny they have an opening here at strarbucks i seen the other day. I hear the benifits are really good too. plus who doesnt love the smell of yummy cofee!
  8. ee cheri that does sound scary. im so conflicted. Im not going anywhere right now. I did find a place in houston that does it for 7900.00 Thats a pretty good price. They seem to be well known in the area also. I have alot more reseach to do before i make the decision. Thanks for everyones opinions and posts.
  9. hmmm , i watched a video of someone traveling over there and it was like 5 mins it seemed to the hospital! I believe i read one of the girls that works there lives in san diego. I live in a small town kinda near the border and we have ALOT of border related crime! actually the swat team was right next door to our house a few years ago because some guys were banging and shooting at some seasonal worker ppl lived in a trailor! There have also been several youger boys just end up "missing" They found a hispanic pregnant woman tied to a chair and had been hit in the head with beer bottles in the same trailer. The crime is horrible. Im very light complected however i grew up where i was the manority. lol we even had hispanic music on our school bus because with 3 to a seat my brothers and i were the only cacausion kids on it. So im used to less than ideal enviroments but for some reason it just scares me. hmmmm maybe more research. Il like to comare where i live to tj's as far as crime. Ill bet its fairly close!
  10. miss meow... I have done alot of research and that was the doc i had chosen if i were going to go there and get it done. Im getting such contridicting adive....eeee :-s I dont know what to do
  11. hmmm im getting such contrdicting advice lol im not sure my credit is good enough yet to get approved for a larger amount to get it done here. Maybe ill just have to focus on credit score for now.
  12. and miss meow... thanks., i was looking into a dr in tj but then all my friends from mexico told me i shouldnt go there so i got really scared. Im thinking i might just take my chances...thousands of others do it! Im to the point where its getting hard to tie my shoe . Im 25, 5 ft 3 and just hit 250! 50 of that came on in the past 7 monthes. Im tired of weight loss clinics, diets...ect. I do stay active but it doesnt seem to take it off..so im looking into it. what doctor did u have there? and how long ago was your surgery?
  13. well...no our economy is bad too....I am just in a position right now where i dont really have to work. If I were, that wouldnt be a factor at all. Im just curious if any of the companies i would be applying for would have it available. If i make the choice to go back to work, it would certainly have to be for some reason as significant as this! If i indeed did need a job i would work where ever needed. Im just blessed at the moment i get to take time off and stay with my son.
  14. is this ever going to happen?
