Hi wendy first of all i really dont think you need a shrink you may need a small band fill just to take the edge off the eating thing which will probably give you more control. I understand that its very difficult and we all want to lose all our excess fat within a year but unfortunatly that doesnt always happen. I had my band 4 years ago and i lost 84lbs but it took me almost 3 years, then i had to have surgery and my band was deflated and then the surgery was cancelled and by the the time i had my surgery i had put on 56lbs (cos i ate too much) so now im on my way down again i have lost about 20lbs in a year and im pleased as we all must remember that any weight loss is a great acheivement and the slower it takes the more in control you are, i f we loose it fast our bodies dont get used to it and we are hungery and i found that once i had reached the right level in my band the weight was easier yo keep under control and loose, thats why i recomend that you have a small band fill and keep gong a little at a time untill you reach that level good luck and well done wth the amount that you have lost april
  4. Hi mrsmyers2010 I can understand how you must be feeling, I had to go on a milk diet for 2 weeks before my surgery and it got to the point that i hated even the thought of milk but what kept me going was that this surgery has cost me every part of my savings and i new that i had to stick to it as i didnt want the dr to open me up and then say sorry i cant do it cos you didnt stick to your liquid diet. The couple of weeks after the op will be a little uncomfortable and tbh i dont think you will really care about what your eating or not, but remember that this whole process is worth every bit of the uncomfortable feelings you will have, and as you will start to relise that it is probably one of the most important dissions you will make in your life and i can honestly say that it was the best thing i ever done. my good wishes and suport to you and i hope your surgery goes well
