Yes you are right Chez. Pains back. I am heading in in 50 mins. Ouch. :'-(

Hi. I rang my surgeons rooms today after pb'ing saliva with speckles of blood in it & they told me I have probably been inflamed. I had massive pain last night. If the pain comes back I have to ring by lunch & they will get my dr down from surgery during a break. Ouch. Anyone else experienced this?

Hi. I had my last fill nearly 2 weeks ago & all going beautifully. Thought I'd hit the green zone. Yesterday after some baked beans for lunch I started to get some tummy cramps, and they lasted for about an hour. I stupidly tried to eat a bit of burger for dinner & it got stuck & I saw it again :-/. Got the pains again. I didn't eat breakfast and ate 2 corn chips off my sons nachos & got them again. It isn't like a stuck pain, it feels as though it's under my band and across my tummy. Any advice or help welcomed.

It's weird cause it doesn't really feel like a bug. No other symptoms. I just get cramps from food. Will try a protein shake for dinner I think. Not much fun though I tell u

Hi all. I was banded 7 months ago & have lost 9 kilo so far. Not bad but not as much as I would have hoped. Anyway about 6 weeks ago my surgeon agreed to fortnightly visits and we have been increasing my fill as I could eat a cup of food & be hungry again in an hour or 2. 3 weeks ago I was up to 8ml & over the week I got so tight I couldn't eat more than 1/4 of a cup twice a day & I couldn't keep my water intake up. I lost 2kg in a week very happy about that but couldnt sustain how tight I felt when eating or drinking. I had .2ml out & now I feel I am back to where I was before. I can eat a cup & drink normally again but I just don't get a "full" signal & am starting to feel hungry after a few hours. How wiill I know when I have it right?
-
Good luck tomorrow. Same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago. I had 2 ml out much better. But 3 weeks on I think I need a 1 ml back in. Believe it or not Iiked not being able to eat much, but not getting enough Water in & reflux is horrid. I am hoping a tiny bit back in will get me just in the middle & my perfect green zone. I am really confused with how things are "meant" to be. Hope all goes well. You will feel so much better after a little out. X

Thank you Cheznoel. I found it! One little hiccup thing. So that is when I'm full? Time to stop? X

Me too. Jusandrach@internode.on.net. -
I am feeling similar, having trouble with mush & liquids, every sip/mouthful hurts. I am heading in for an unfill in 2 days. This is not a fun way to live. Reflux is the pits. It's not meant to be like this. Ring for an appointment. I cannot wait to get in there. Best of luck

Hi. I had a fill last Friday & now have 8ml in a 10ml band. Last week I could gulp a mouthful of water/liquid easily, now if I do I can feel it sitting there and sometimes see it again :-/. Is this normal or am I now too tight? My food intake has also drastically reduced which is ok, I am just worried about the water thing. Thanks
-
Thanks everyone. My dr missed out the gulping message. I rang the office & they said I have most likely irritated my stomach but emptying it & then so stupidly (my words) filled it back up with acid - OJ. Good one!!! Liquids & antacids for me until the swelling goes down. Lesson learned. X
-
Hi. Thanks for the replys. Yes I can sip water very Small sips with breaks inbetween. I have however woken up with a burn in my throat, reflux I am assuming. I could have irritated my band by 1, drinking too fast & bringing it back up & 2 (stupid I know) doing it again later with OJ? Of course that is acidic. Never been at this point before. Do I wait to see if it settles? Do I go for an unfill? I have probably pushed too much food into myself today as well as I thought there is no way 1/3 cup of food could make me full. :-/. Such a huge learning curve.

Hi all. I am 5 days post op now & everything has been ticking along beautifully - until this morning. As I was straining to get up off the couch, I felt something go pop in my tummy above my port scar & between my other incisions on the left. It didn't hurt & didn't think more of it. Well its happened again, twice, when I am getting up from the couch or out of the car. Something is definitely moving. It is freaking me out, is something wrong? Have I blown something already? It is starting to hurt a little now. Anyone else had this happen?

I am the same just had my first fill 24 hrs ago. I don't think I can feel anything. But Iove the slow approach, sneak up on it. It gives me more adjustment and practice time. I am a little anxious about it, excited at the same time to. Xx

Goodluck to you as well. I am about to head off to my appointment. I will let you know how I go :-)

Hi all. I've been missing for a bit & wow! Congrats to everyone who has been banded & goodluck for those yet to go. I was banded 5th march & doing beautifully. Lost 6kg so far. I am wrapped. I have my first fill tomorrow & am a bit nervous. I am still on mushies. I cannot wait to dig my teeth into something that's for sure. I hope everyone is recovering well. Everyday just gets better and better. :-)

Can anyone else feel things moving inside? When I bend forward I can feel something moving around, tubing maybe?? Will it go away? I am nearly 3 weeks banded.
-
Oh thank goodness! I emailed my surgeon but no reply yet. It feels so weird. Freaks me out. Thankyou.

Hi all. I am getting banded the 5th march and am very excited. I just have one concern, I haven't been given a list of what liquids I eat/drink in the first week. I will have to go shopping on the weekend. What should I have on hand?
-
Hey smiley!! I am doing very well thanks. Still get the occasional has pain & know if I have drunk too quickly. I officially hate liquids however but am pushing through - 9 says left until mushies. Bring it on. My dressings came off Last night & the scars are looking good. I am bruised around one on my left side & that is the one that hurts the most. No trouble at all from the other 5! Overall I am healing well! How are you doing?
