    You Must Eat To Lose!!!

Well I had my first fill and I definately have noticed the difference in what I have been able to eat. The nurse practitioner advise me to stay away from fried foods and keep up the exercise, do far I have seen the scale move little by little. So I try to stick with just protein like fish, chicken, or turkey and a vegetable and I drink my protein shakes and have yogurt and cut veggies for snacks. And I've been doin my best to stay set from bread and rice.

    You Must Eat To Lose!!!

Thanks for the advice every one. I think right now since I haven't had my first fill yet, I have to be really disciplined so I don't over eat. But I going to start drinking alot more water and up my protein shake intake and see of that cuts my appetite and gets the scale moving down. I have my first fill this week Wednesday so we will see.

    You Must Eat To Lose!!!

I am having the same problem. I've been working out 5 days a week but the scale is going the opposite way. I was wondering of I should up my calories to see what happens. Suggestions on some more meal ideas would be helpful.

    March Bandsters!

Good Morning Every one, I need some suggestions for mushy foods besides mashed pots. I've been experimenting this week, seeing what I could eat. Was banded on 3/23. I've noticed my weight starting to creep up slowly and that is a no no. I've been exercising with Zumba tapes for the last couple of days, so not sure if my body is trying to adjust to the minimal food and exercise or what. Any one else having issues with slight weight gain post op after starting to eat more solid foods?

    March Bandsters!

Well finally feel pretty much normal after my march 23rd surgery. No more nausea so far today and very little pain... Except for severe hunger!! Started eating light whipped yogurt today and so far so good. I'm going to try applesauce next and see how does that feel going down.
  6. Had my surgery, having a rough time with nausea and vomiting and cramping. At times I don't even feel like drinking any thing. Trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
  7. Was banded yesterday and I have not been able to stop this feeling and throwing up. Since I haven't ate any thing, it's just mucus and saliva. Has any one else's experienced this and what should I do to help it.

    True Results - Houston

Hi, new to the forum. But I'm going through true results in Houston. Surgery tentively schedule for 23rd. But I had to pay out of pocket because my insurance wouldn't cover it. My question is, I had a EDG done and they found a hernia, so is this some thing the insurance normally would pay for, at least part?
  11. Ok cool, I'm hoping this is the last step of clearances that I will need. I have an appointment with the GI doctor tomorrow, so hopefully I can get this upper EDG in time for my pending surgery date on the 9th.

    March Bandsters!

My new surgery date is March 9th due to a last minute EDG test. I'm anxious and I honestly haven't hit the excited point yet. Just want it to be over with and this chapter of my life to begin.
  13. Thanks every one for the encouragement. I feel better today about it after talking to my advocate. My new surgery date is March 9th pending every thing is ok with my procedure. I guess the anticipation go the best of me.
  14. Was your surgeon perhaps, Dr Hollis? Because I had a consult with him and he mentioned that we would be doing post op at his office. I thought I was under the impression that I had to go through True Results since I was self pay. I wish I would have done a little bit more research.
  15. I tried to call my advocate back but we missed each other. So I plan on calling her back tomorrow. I had to do a pulmonary clearence and they made sure to tell me ahead of time and I got that done. But to wait two days before my surgery to tell me I need to have a procedure done, not just a referral letter but a full procedure done with a specialist, does not sit very well with me. I am self-pay and I can easily pull out but of course I would have to start all over with another facility. I've been on the pre-op diet for two weeks no one bothered to look over my chart to see if I needed any thing else. I'm just really upset about the whole thing right now.
  16. I am going through True Results and they are really frustrating me right now. My surgery was originally scheduled for 2/24 but got a call today and have to go get an upper endoscopy done with a GI doctor. I am not happy that they waited two days before to tell me I need another clearence. I'm beginning to wonder are they the best one's to go through, seems a disorganized.
