  1. Hurley I thought you meant you buy the bites, you are making them? I only see recipes on the website...LOL
  2. Just check if you are allowed meats on the pureed stage, I am not...I have to do 2 weeks of soft pureed, like cottage cheese, pudding, etc..Then 2 weeks of thick purees, just check what your guidelines are first...Love the recipes, I printed it out and will definitely be using it, thanks!

    Fighting with my head today

I hear ya! I'm 4 weeks out and I get the same way sometimes..At work I have to constantly watch people eating potato chips, pretzels etc, and some days it's like, Oh what i would give to have that "crunch" again..LOL...but like you I have not given in and won't, just trying to deal with it..Good luck..

    thyroid and wls?

Hi, yes, I have a thyroid issue and I had the sleeve on April 2nd and I'm doing well with it..I've had hypothyroidism for over 20 years now and then a few years ago was told that I have Hoshimoto's disease...I haven't had my levels checked yet since surgery but so far I'm doing great..

    No weight loss! :(

Rosita, YES, it is very important to take the vitamins, especially the calcium and multi..Because of the limited amount of food we can eat, your body won't get enough nutrients..I know someone who didn't take their's and had their surgery years ago and now has severe bone loss from not taking the vitamins, so please take them..

A wonderful hot plate for sleevers!

I bought this one, which is much cheaper and works pretty well..The other one looks a lot nicer though! LOL. .http://www.amazon.com/green-sprouts-Warming-Plate-Sage/dp/B002F9MUX4/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1367418743&sr=1-1&keywords=baby+warming+plate

  9. Congratulations! Glad your experience has gone so well, sounds like your doing all the right things..Where do you get all those bites? hawaiian bites, buffalo bites, etc? sounds delish..Keep up the good work..
  10. So your only 5 days out and that is normal..The first week was the hardest for me and then every day after that was better and better..Hang in there because it does get better, I promise..Today I am a month out and I feel great, some days I even forget I had surgery..It's still a challenge with the liquids and protein but it gets easier..Just try to get in as much liquids and protein as you can..The first week the liquids are most important so you don't get dehydrated, try to sip sip sip...Good luck to you..

    No weight loss! :(

I had surgery on April 2nd and hit the stall at 2 weeks..It last for a week and a half and this weekend I finally lost 4 more lbs..So hang in there and keep doing what your doing and it will happen..Also, did you take your measurements? Because even when I went through the stall I was still losing inches..

  14. Tv how far out are you from surgery?
  15. Hi Nerlyc, Sorry it took me so long to respond, I haven't been on my computer all week..I am sorry that you are still in pain 2 weeks out, is it getting better? When I wrote this post I was about a week post op, tomorrow I will be 4 weeks post op and I can honestly say that I am SO much better now..The food and fluid thing is still challenging but is getting better, honestly, some days I even forget that I had surgery.Have you gone for your post op appt yet? How did that go? Good luck to you on your journey and I promise, it does get better..I'm here if you need me..
  16. What would I put in the search on you tube to watch that? I am much better at understanding if I see the visual..thanks.
  17. I didn't do that on the liquid phase, I'm now on the pureed stage and that has been so hard for me because I"m so used to drinking with my meals that I keep forgetting not to! Something I have to work on..
  18. Wow, good job! You look great..Did you get the 3 week stall at all? IF not, what was your eating routine like? I haven't lost in 2 weeks and I"m getting so frustrated..
  19. I feel the same way and then find myself "grazing" which isn't good either..
  20. Same here! I had my surgery on April 2nd, lost 20 pounds the first 2 weeks and now have lost nothing in almost 2 weeks! It's so frustrating and depressing especially with how little we are consuming. I just don't understand it, I've never eaten so few calories in my life, how can I not be losing? This always happened to me when I would "diet" in the past and I would get so down that I would give up..Luckily I can't give up, but the feelings are the same..UGH..
  21. I usually have scrambled eggs.
