Mine is just five Optifast shakes a day. Day #3 for me. It's getting easier.
-
If she tells anyone you can sue the practice.

Jason, I too am a night shift RN working tonight. Just completed day 2. It's rough. I can't believe I've lasted this long. Way too many goodies running around our unit right now.

I jumped on the scale to give me motivation. I lost 5 lbs since yesterday! Which is good because I was about to cave. Now I have the motivation to get me through this day. I don't expect to lose 5 lbs everyday but it's a good start. Pre op diet is aweful, but it's temporary. There is an end in sight.

I will!

Wish I felt as good. I'm on day 2 of my 800 calorie Optifast diet. Being banded on the 5th. My head hunger is annoying. Keep up the good work!

Ate you sure it's 3 more weeks of clears? Not just liquids? Big difference between clear liquids and full liquids. I've read somewhere here someone misread their post op instructions and was on clears far longer than the MD intended. Congrats on your weight loss!

There is a doctor sitting in front of me eating skittles. I told her I would chase her down and sit on her for them. The good news is that day one is over and I only have 13 left to go. Oooh. Popcorn sounds good. Nevermind that. Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels......... Right?

Polyanna- I laughed so hard with your description of your husband. I can see mine doing the EXACT same thing. I just started my pre op liquid diet today and my son sweetly saw me eyeing his wheat thins and offered me some. My husband was all over it. Comical.

Thanks ladies!

Congrats! I'm glad it went so well for you!

Where did you get the gas x strips? I haven't been able to find them at my grocery store or my CVS.

This is Day 1 of my two week liquid protein 800 calorie diet. Ive been awake for about 5.5 hours and haven't cracked yet! Lol. My head is being aweful. I don't like Taco bell much, never had. Why oh why would I give my pinky nail for Taco Bell right now? This is going to be a long two weeks if my brain doesn't knock it off. I can do this! White knuckle it if I have to.

While it's good to look at all aspects of the band I completely second what Deb said. Only you can decide if the band is the right tool for you. Whether you use your tool correctly or not is up to you. Ask yourself what you would do if you were not afraid of anything? Just the facts and how both would affect your life. Good luck Glove, I hope you find peace with whichever decision you make.

I hope it's nothing too. I really hope this one is normal. If not it's off to the cardiologist I go. I sincerely hope there is nothing wrong with my heart, and I also don't want my surgery that's in two weeks postponed. I'll choose not having a heart problem over the delay any day. Momba- was yours postponed? *manda Darned autocorrect

Thanks Jen 1381. Easier said than done when trying to not be anxious.

Some doctors take you off of BC because of the risks associated with them. Blood clots, heart attack, etc. Since we are at increased risk of blood clots post surgery anyway mine doesn't want to add to the risk. -

I don't know how I feel about her being the spokesperson. If she's informative and tells everyone it's a TOOL.... But will see -

How much is shipping? Perhaps if you bought it online it would save you some hassle -
Welcome to the group Renee. I hope we can give you all of the support you need

Good thinking GLove! I'm going to take a Zumba class for the first time (pre surgery). Hopefully I will like it enough to continue.

I haven't been banded yet but have experimented with two different ones so far. I did the punch Isopure and strawberry jello (pretty good). Then the blue Isopure and raspberry jello. So far so good
