Ummmmmmmmm I sent everyone that link months ago in here and got poo pooed for it. hmmmmmmm Back from the hairdresser. I like my cut, even though it's still not as short as I'd like, but am really anxious to get the color back to more blonde. That will be the end of January. No sunshine right now and it's really blah out, but no snow and no rain and very little wind. I had scalloped potatoes for lunch.. about a cup worth and that was it. Beef stew for supper tonight with a salad. I'm trying not to eat anything in between and NOTHING after supper tonight. Now if I can get the Bobster to follow that plan, it will be a miracle. TracyinKS.. glad you got your phone back. I don't know anybody's phone number anymore. They are all stored in my cell phone. Technology sure makes me lazy!! It sure is quiet at home today. No Ethan till Friday and Bob doesn't have to work on a sermon and I don't have any rehearsals until the new year. So this is the way it's supposed to be!! Off to surf the net. BBL....

Good morning, Violets.. I've been busy already this morning and just now getting time to check in. I made beef stew in the crockpot for tonight and then went online and ordered some things from Etsy for the baby shower. Got a cute dragon onesie and some dragon burp cloths. I think Kris will like them. I ordered her playpen that she registered for on Babies R Us. We're going over tonight with all the stuff I have received so far for the shower and see whats left to do. Bob is cleaning out his church office and when he gets home, I'll be heading to my hair appointment. Time for another "short" cut. We'll see how she listens to me this time. I don't like my new color either, but that will have to wait until the next appointment. Just got another rsvp for the shower. We're up to 38 right now, but I haven't heard from about 30 more people, so planning is going to be interesting. I hate to be caught short, but I don't want to overbuy either. Deadline for rsvps is tomorrow. I lost a pound yesterday so I'm headed in the right direction. I had a slice of ham for breakfast an hour ago and it's still trying to digest. Time for me to get my first water of the day in so maybe that will wash it down. I get my Wii back tonight when we go to Kris's. Tomorrow I'll be back to that after my shift at the hospital. Then we're going to the track to see the Trikke tomorrow evening. I'm excited about that too. I'll have to dig out my bike helmet to take along. Bob had a horrible fit of reflux last night, but with what he ate last night before bed, I warned him it would happen. I hope he learned his lesson. I think he's going to start over again Jan. 1st. I've already started over like most of you and we'll definitely do it this time. I can feel it!! We are leaving Wednesday morning to go to a Detroit Pistons game in the evening and will stay overnight and be back New Years day. Nathan and Kris are going with us and it should be as fun as it was last year even though our seats are not quite as close as before. Well, enough rambling on for now. I need to get some water and do some laundry. Our tree won't come down until after the 1st, even though we are really crowded in the little living room. Bob loves the Christmas stuff so I'll humor him for another few days. Everyone have a great day.. make wise choices and drink that water!!

Curves is an excellent exercise program. I highly recommend it. You can start out easy and increase the intensity and number of circuits you do. It's a great place to meet women who are in the same boat as you are as far as exercising.

179 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! -
Michelle.. I know the feeling.. the slug feeling is so nice after all the hub bub of the season. I got to Bob's church this morning and the choir director wanted to know if I had a solo prepared. HUH?? ummm NO! They only had 6 people for a choir and they decided not to sing so I was the next choice. My one problem going there is they expect me to step in and do the music when my choice is to sit in the congregation and worship. Well, next week, I will be sitting with family and then that's the last Sunday there. It will be back to my own choir and our rehearsals start on the 7th of January. Bob, Kris, Nathan and I are going to Auburn Hills to watch the Pistons play on New Years Eve afternoon. It's become a tradition for us. I don't know if they will want to go next year with a little baby so we'll take advantage of this time. We'll do some shopping before the game and then we're going to the Rain Forest Cafe for dinner afterwards. We'll spend the night and come home New Years Day. I think I'll take the laptop and see how it works at the hotel. Bob and I are sitting here in the living room watching tv and cuddling yorkies. I'm off to surf the net. Everyone have a great evening!

Wow!! Dr. Jazzy Bradford, VIOLET How kewl is that?? We're so proud of you PamELa... I remember when Bob finished his dissertation. A great relief and a rush of accomplishment. We just finished dinner. We had left over ham, scalloped potatoes and squash. Bob had two platefuls.. (small plates), but I was good and stuck with one helping. Actually I've done well all day today, so it looks like we're off to a good start. I hope to get some exercise in tomorrow while Bob goes to his church and clears out his office. His last sermon there was very good, even though he left it at home! He knew it well enough to pull it off. Course when you've been preaching sermons for as long as he has, you don't panic when little glitches happen. It's been warm all day today and we've lost a LOT of snow. We didn't get all the rain they were predicting so things are still pretty dry out and no risk of flooding, thank goodness. Tomorrow we go to Kris's with all the things I have accumulated for the baby shower so we can sort through and see what we still need. It's all coming so fast now. Less than 2 months before I'll be watching my newest grandchild being born. And then, looking forward to our Hawaii cruise and then of course the 2nd annual Violet Bandaversary Bash!! Won't be long now!! We're off to the grocery store to get the fixin's for beef stew for the crock pot tomorrow. BBL....

Good morning, Violets.. I feel like I'm in a hurricane this morning. The wind gusts are really strong! I'm up early to get ready to head to Bob's church with him. And there it is in purple and white.... my ticker. TracyK.. you and I are in the same boat goal wise. I'll be watching you and I know you'll be watching me. Together, we can do this!!! This is my day one of responsible eating once again. I've been up 10 minutes and am doing well so far!!:tongue_smilie::tt2: Off to get dressed and have a responsible breakfast. Everyone have a great day and make wise choices!!

180 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! :hurray: -
Good evening, Violets.. Back from the movie. It was ok. Not real good, but not real bad either. At least the premise of the movie was good.. don't miss out on any opportunities. And nope Tracy.. I didn't have any popcorn and wouldn't let the Bobster get any either. I knew I couldn't stop once I started. We split a chicken fajita at Applebees, no tortillas for me, just meat, onions, sour cream and cheese. Weigh in for me tomorrow morning and I'm not looking forward to it, but it will be like confession.. starting over fresh. The weather is still rotten here. Lots of rain and tomorrow fog and high winds. Sure is strange weather for December. The Pistons game is about to start so I'll shut this down and concentrate on helping my guys win! Everyone have a good evening.. sleep well.

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm sitting here in my comfy chair with a yorkie on my shoulder and one behind my head. They are loving the mommy time now instead of sitting at my feet at the other computer. I'm waiting for Kris and Nathan to arrive so we can go to the movie at 4. It's really yucky out. Raining now and still everything melting. Don't know what it's going to be like in the morning when Bob and I go to his church for his last sermon. Hopefully the roads won't be iced over. I went to Walmart this morning and got 4 more bags of Hershey's hot chocolate kisses for the baby shower. I made little stickers to go on the bottom of them that say Dragon, January 10, 2009 That's their baby's nickname right now and the date of the shower, of course! Luckily I don't have a craving for Hershey's chocolate so there's no temptation there. I finished making the pictures for the table decorations. We are going to have little branches set in flower pots with baby pictures of Kris, Nathan, Bob, Me and his parents and call it our family tree. The pictures came out so cute. I'll have to get them together in one file and post it. I will post my new ticker tomorrow after I weigh in. Then I will weigh in on Sundays on a regular basis. We all seem to be getting a new resolve and motivation and that's a great thing! We can do this!!!! TOGETHER!!! Time to scoot. Kris will be here soon. Everyone have a great afternoon and I'll check back after the movie and dinner.

Good morning, Violets... Boy, what a yucky day it is here today. It's 45 degrees, everything is melting and it's raining and foggy. It's so nice to be in the living room by the fireplace (even though it's fake) and typing away on my laptop in my lap sitting in my favorite chair. Nothing on the agenda today except going to the movies later. Course there is some laundry calling my name so might have to attend to that. All the wrapping paper and boxes have been taken by the garbage man so now just have to put away all the new jammies and other gifts. Bob's new telescope is taking up half of the livingroom and he can't use it yet because he was told by the kids that it's for looking at stars.. not naked women in houses across the street!!! The kids are typical PK's. It's been too cloudy at night to see stars. I am looking forward to Jan. 1st. I'm going to put up a new ticker starting at my current weight and putting my goal in. It will be a lot less than my original weight, so hopefully won't be as daunting a task. We'll get the Wiifit back, will be going to the Trikke track and getting back on schedule with exercise. Then we will make a doctor's appointment for January. I won't get a fill, but Bob will probably. He's eating way too much and even me nagging at him isn't helping. When he's done with his little church Jan. 4th, that will be a BIG change for him. It will be the first time in his ministry that he won't be preaching every Sunday. He'll be looking for an interim, but that's hit and miss at this point. He's going to be lost for awhile for sure. DS Joe gets his car on Tuesday and I'll finally get my car back!! Off to look at facebook and see what's new there. Everyone have a great day! Make wise choices..

181 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! -
Good evening,Violets. We're back from all the 50% off shopping and had a great ham dinner. We went to JoAnn Fabrics and got a couple more Santas for our collection. Went to Peebles and got a pair of brown moleskin pants (size 10 woo hoooo!!) and a travel alarm clock that projects the time on the wall. Ethan's daddy came to get him at 5:30 and we won't have him again until next Friday. DIL Jen has the next week off. I'm sitting in the living room in a big cushy chair watching the Pistons and reading online news to the Bobster. This is what I had envisioned when I asked for the laptop. No more being in different rooms at night...so cool!! I'm going to start my new James Patterson book, Cross Country, tonight. That should be quick to finish before I start the Patricia Cornwell book Scarpetta. It's 36 degrees out now and a fog advisory in effect for tomorrow morning. Rain is supposed to start tonight. It's going to be a mess tomorrow cause there is nowhere for the water to go. The ground is frozen and the drains are covered deep with snow. Jane.. so good to have you back and I bet your customers were really glad to see you again! Jen.. I don't know exactly what you were saying either. Hope you feel better soon. Suzie.. you and I are on the same wavelength too. I have that exact same camera. I love it! Everyone have a good evening. Nothing on the agenda for us tomorrow except going to a movie.. Yes Man. And of course laundry. Some things never change! Everyone sleep well.
-
Good afternoon, Violets. I just put the ham in the oven for dinner. Got some butternut squash, corn and mashed potatoes to go with it. It will be our day after Christmas dinner. And will last for several weeks, I'm guessing!! We're going to the movies tomorrow and will either see Benjamin Button (fantastic reviews) or Yes Man.. Jim Carrey is my favorite comedian. Kris and Nathan will drive into town to go with us. Ethan is here and we got to go to Yahoo messenger and see Amelia, Mara and Everett. It's so cool to see his reaction when he can see Amelia in real time. We got snow last night, but no rain or freezing rain today. That's fine with me. Don't know what they are predicting for tomorrow now. Just know it will be warm and lots of melting. The birds are really out in force at the feeder and that always means a storm. We're going to JoAnn Fabrics as soon as Joe picks Ethan up. Can't believe we forgot to go there this morning. I'm sure there will be little left by now, but we'll see. Going to go watch some cartoons with Ethan and watch him color at his new desk Santa dropped off here yesterday.

Good afternoon, violets.. I'm back from shopping and we got a lot of good deals. We got all the traditional stuff we give the kids each year.. Pez, large candy cane sticks, boxer shorts and Life Saver books. We've been doing that since they were little so we got everything half price for next year. Bob also gets our organist a noisemaker each year.. you know the pigs and cows that sing Jingle Bells.. that kind of thing. He got 2 of those for the next two years. I got my mouse too and am much happier now. And no.. not the Laura kind of mouse. The Michelle Mouse. Time for lunch here. Then Ethan comes and we'll have fun all afternoon. BBL...

Good morning, Violets. It's snowing here right now and will change over to freezing rain by midday. The Bobster and I were going to get up early to shopping, but we're just now getting up. Oh, well. Not many things I'm looking for, so it will be fine getting out a couple hours later than planned. I DO need a mouse for this laptop. I'm not that good with the pad. I'm getting better with the typing. This keyboard is so much bigger than the old one the Bobster used to have years ago. I'm loving the speed of this laptop and of course the convenience. Off to get ready to go shopping. Everyone have a great day!! BBL

182 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! :tongue2: -
Sue, I've had a trikke for two years now and never have used it, but they have a store in town and have set up times at the rec center to try them out and to ride your own, so I'm going to try it out next Tuesday. I still want the terratrike, but will give the Trikke a shot! I'll have to report in and let you know how it goes! I've read about your trikke riding and you're my role model. Just wish you were here to show me how to do it.. I'm always afraid of looking foolish.

Good afternoon, Violets! I'm typing this on my new BLUE Inspiron laptop. I'm loving it so far. Got my Yahoo messenger installed and working on getting ispq installed and trying to get used to no mouse. As soon as the battery is all charged up, I can take this to the living room and chat while I watch tv lounging in my easy chair. Life is pretty good here in Northern Michigan! We had the buffet this afternoon. They let me pay the child's price and that's about all I ate. We leave in 2 hours to hit it again. Other than that I've had rock candy and that's it. I gave away all the fudge and cookies. I did have a piece of boston cream pie for lunch. yummy. But I get our Wiifit back from DSIL tomorrow and then Bob and I will be back on track with exercise. Off to try and get ispq installed. My registration key is saved in my lycos email and I can't get into lycos for some reason. BBL...

Good morning, Violets.. And a MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all!!!! Michelle.. we must certainly be on the same wavelength. I'm getting a Dell laptop as soon as the kids get here. It's my surprise gift that I found out about a week ago by mistake. I am getting it so that I don't have to be tied to this computer out in the breeze way instead of spending time with the Bobster. Now I can sit in the living room and chat and watch tv and enjoy the good life!! haha We're going out to a buffet lunch at a local restaurant and I'm taking my special diet request card I got from the lapband center. Hopefully they'll let me get the buffet for the child's price since I certainly won't eat more than a child would! We're going back to the same place tonight for dinner with our oldest son. Ethan will be back this afternoon to open his presents since he was comatose last night when he was here. Course it was 9:30 p.m. so that's understandable. It finally stopped snowing this morning. We have a TON and it's supposed to be snow turning to ice on Friday and freezing rain on Saturday. I don't know how much more my roof can take!!! I'm off to do some knitting and wait for the kids to get here. Everyone have a great day and I'll check back later. and p.s. don't even worry about the piehole report today. It won't be pretty for any of us!!!!!!

Lisa.. I'm guessing that a bike is a bike is a bike. The more you put into it the more calories you burn. The Path model that I'm looking at is 3 speed and the bottom of the line, but has everything I would need. There are 8 more versions of the bike, going up to 27 speeds.

183 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! -
Good evening, Violets.. Well, we opened gifts with Joe's family tonight, except for Ethan. He was sound asleep so he'll open his gifts tomorrow. Laura.. THANK YOU for the beautiful angel box and the Moonlight Path collection. I ran out of the body spray just today and was down to my last drops of shower gel so your gift is perfect!!! The Bobster must think I need to relax.. he got me a new robe, 4 pairs of pj's and 2 pairs of slippers plus 2 books. The robe is a size Large and he was sure it wouldn't fit because I told him I wore XL in most blouses. But.. it fits fine!! We're going to sleep in tomorrow now that we have opened all our gifts already. Kris and Nathan will come over in the afternoon and we'll open gifts with them. Michelle.. so sorry to hear about your neighbor, but she's not hurting anymore. Prayers for her family who are the ones who will be hurting for a long time to come. May God comfort them and hold them close. Merry Christmas to all my Violet friends.. Onward to Jan. 1st and a new resolution to get to goal!!
-
Good evening, Violets.. Well, here it is Christmas Eve and for the first time in 39+ years, I'm not with the Bobster at Christmas Eve. He left at 5 to go to his little church 40 miles away. Kris and Nathan decided not to brave the roads tonight and I don't blame them. So here I sit. I'm getting English muffin pizzas ready for later tonight when Bob gets back and Joe and family come over. Sure feels strange. I think we might go to midnight service at Trinity Episcopal so we're in church together tonight. We'll see how he feels when Joe and crew leaves. So glad to hear Jane is home for Christmas. Hope she continues to feel better. I got a text message from a young man I met online who went on one of the cruises Bob and I went on. I haven't talked to him in about a year so it was good to hear from him and know he still remembers the old lady that made sure he behaved on the cruise. He's on a back to back cruise right now. His family is Jewish and they always take the family on a cruise for Christmas and New Years. Neat, huh? Michelle.. only a few more hours and Santa will be making his rounds. Can you contain yourself til then??? Tomorrow isn't going to be as planned for us either. Instead of Bob and I staying in our nammies all day, we have to be up and dressed when Kris and Nathan come over. We're going out to lunch with them at noon and then taking our oldest son and girlfriend out to dinner at 6. I won't make the ham and fixin's I have until Friday. Saturday we're supposed to get freezing rain so that will be another adventure. At least I don't have to worry about church services as there is no choir until Jan. 11th. I better get back to the pizzas.. Everyone will be here about 9 p.m. Everyone have a great evening.. Enjoy your Christmas Eve. And Macy, Kinsey, Ethan and Michelle..... Santa is coming!!!!

Yeah, those mice gangs can be pretty dangerous!! Just think West Side Story with tails.
