OH NO!!! Is he ok????

Good afternoon, Violets.. WHERE IS TRACY???? Ethan just left and Gramma is pooped! No bell choir tonight, thank goodness. Just a singing rehearsal from 7-9. Ethan comes tomorrow morning from 8-4 again. Bob took him out for some fun in the snow today, but it didn't wear Ethan out at all. Ethan didn't take a nap all day... so no quiet time for me. We're going out tonight for supper. I don't know what I'm going to have. I want to stay lo carb as much as possible. I'm guessing it will be fish or ribs. TRACYYYYYYYYYYY...WHERE ARE YOU?????
-
Good morning again, Violets.. Where's TracyK????? She's usually the first to post in the morning. Doing well on the eating this morning. I had a scrambled egg and cheese with Ethan and am now drinking my first liter of water. No snacking in between. I agree, the pouch test isn't to lose weight.. it's to get you back on track and back on following the rules. I was at the point where I had something in my mouth just about all day and most of it was sugary. I tossed all that stuff out, even my very favorite thin ribbon candy. I know why I got fat. I did NOT have a good childhood. I swore I would not be the parent my parents were. I'm still dealing with inferiority issues, but the Bobster has made a big difference. I know that food is a comfort to me. I love the way it tastes, the texture, the smell. If I could taste it and then spit it out, it would be fine, but we all know that ain't happening. So I got the band and just as with every diet I was picture perfect in the beginning. Then one little slip led to another and another after I got my big weight loss. That stopped the loss and even though I'm feeling great and I know I look so much better, I really want to get to goal. This pouch test has got me back on eating the band way. I haven't had sugar for 5 days and have done the lo-carb as well. I'm so happy to see the scale finally moving the right way. That is a great motivator for me. Leaning on everyone here has helped a lot too. I feel bad when someone says they slipped and wish I could be there to smack 'em upside the head as I know you would do to me!! Suzie.. hope you get some answers at the doc. We all need to remember that we have a disease just like an alcoholic does. The only difference is an alcoholic can and must cut out alcohol completely. We just can't do that with food. That's what makes it so hard. Well, I'm waiting for the Bobster to get home so I can have lunch with him. We're finishing up the ham and cheese soup today. I'll have to try the pumpkin sausage soup soon. TracyinKS.. what kind of sausage did you get?? BBL...

Let's see... stapling--potty training, stapling--potty traing. Yup.. YOU have the glamorous life!!

Good morning, Violets.. Ethan has arrived for the day. He was here from noon to 9 last night. Today it's from 8 til 5. He's talking more and more each day. It's nice to finallly be Grama instead of Mommom. He keeps saying.. "what doin?" while I sit here typing. Well, the 5 day plan is working for me. I'm down 5# so far and so happy to be out of the 180's again. 5 more pounds and I'll be back to my lowest. Jenn.. I wish I had some advice for you, but I found the right guy first time around and don't have the experience others have. Jane.. hope things go well at the fill place today. Our fills I think are around $150 but our insurance covers them. Kat.. I'm with you on the Oprah story. It just goes to prove what my doctors told us at the seminar. 92% of people that diet and lose weight will gain it back and more. She is one that would benefit from the lapband, but she's so against surgery, she'll never know. One of our lapband support people is going in for surgery on the 9th. That's one more added to the ranks! Our next support group meeting is the 17th and I had a call from someone yesterday asking about it. I'm sure glad I started it because it seems to fill a need here in Alpena. Ethan is asking for milk so I better go get him some. Will check in later.. Everyone have a great day!

Piehole report so far today.... I need to be accountable. 1 cup cottage cheese with peaches 1 liter water 2 cups ham and cheese soup 1 small slice cheese 1 50 cent size slice of bologna from Ethan's lunch 1 cup lo fat chocolate milk We're trying to do the potty training with Ethan and it's NOT working. He sat on the potty chair for a little bit and read a book and got up and when I pulled his diaper up, little poop pellets fell out on the floor and one of the yorkies..... well, let's just say.. he got some extra protein in his diet today.. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I think I'm a little too old to be potty training again. I'm at the stage of my life when I need the training to make sure I get to the john in time!!!!!

It's also VERY nice to get a paycheck each month for the work I did for 32 years. AND I start getting another paycheck from the government in July. I feel very blessed.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Back from my shift and I just finished making the ham and cheese soup. We'll have that for lunch and Talapia for supper. I've had 1 liter of water so far and a cup of cottage cheese with peaches. Off to add the sour cream to the soup and wait for Ethan to arrive. Haydee.. so glad to have you back!!! Sounds like a wonderful trip.

On, and PamELa.. your epitath would be.. "No more rum balls??? This SUCKS!!"
-
Good Morning, Violets.. Another day another protein! I'm going to make another batch of the soup today. We really liked it and it's perfect in this cold snowy weather to have something warm and soothing and tofu slippery to eat. I have a hospital shift and then Ethan. Kat.. hope that little guy comes soon. I know how exciting it is waiting for his arrival. For Christmas from Laura I got a set of Moonlight Path items.. lotion, bath gel, body spray and candle and a beautiful angel keepsake box. It's in good company on my mantel with other angels. Gotta hustle and get ready to go. Everyone have a great day!!

172 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! -
I'm back. The Pistons won by only 1 point, but it's still a win. We got a new bedspread at Walmart, plus enough ingredients to make the ham & cheese soup again. I used real ham too Michelle and I chopped it all up fine in the bullet along with the carrots. I did use the tofu and will again. I like the slithery feel of it. I know, I'm ... well.......... diffferent. Tomorrow is my hospital shift. I'm doing it on Mondays now so I can watch Ethan on Tuesdays while Bob is at his pastor's meetings. That way Ethan doesn't have to go to day care anymore. I hope to get outside with him tomorrow and get some snow time. TracyinKS had her blog link in her signature, but I didn't see her signature today. Whazzup with that, Tracy?? Piehole report for today 1 egg with cheese ==PB'd 1 deviled egg several small slices of cheese 1 slice venison sausage 1/4 cup ham salad 1/2 cup cottage cheese with pineapple 1 sf pudding 2 liters water I'm done for the day and looking forward to more ham and cheese soup tomorrow. Time to go surf the net and enjoy my time in the living room with the Bobster. Everyone have a good evening... sleep well.

Good evening, Violets.. Well day 3 is almost history on the pouch diet plan and I'm still doing well. I was so excited about being able to have eggs today and when I got them and ate 6 bites, I pb'd them all up. No eggs in the morning I guess. We went to church in freezing rain today and it was a good service. Lots of crying and hugging since it was the Bobster's last Sunday there. He's leaving the church in good hands so that's a good feeling. His job when he got there was to take a dying church and build it up so they could call a part time pastor who was fully ordained. He did an awesome job with that and the church is thriving now. Just a small, rural church, but after 5 years with the Bobster, they are full of hope and excitement now. They had a reception afterwards and I had 1 deviled egg, lots of cheese and 1 small slice of venison sausage. NO cake, no cookies, no carbs. I was proud of Bob.. they had a special cake for him and said to him.. "surely you want a piece of cake". He looked at me and I said.. "Up to you". He said nope.. he couldn't do it. He was on a plan. Atta boy!!! He's lost 2# so far. I came home and had a few spoonfuls of ham salad and then took a nap. We're headed to Walmart in a few to pick up a few things and then I'll think about having some soup at hand and yogurt. Gina...glad to see you posting. We are all in this together... always have been. Just like church.. when you're not here, you're missed. The first step is to admit you've broken the rules and then pick yourself up and start again. The beauty of the band is it WILL work again for you as soon as you let it. You can't try to trick it and convince yourself that breaking the rules just this once will be ok. This pouch plan is a wake up call to me and I'm sure to others that there ARE rules and they need to be adhered to in order for the band to do it's work. I feel like I did right after surgery. I know what I'm supposed to have and I know what I'm NOT supposed to have. No way without a band would I be able to stick with liquids and no inbetween meal eating. But the band is showing me now that it's still there and I just need to listen to it! (my band talks, does yours??) TracyinKS.. I've watched your videos each day. What a great way to stay motivated. Thanks for doing them! Jenn...good for you on the new guy! Hope it works out well for you. 21 seconds left in the Pistons game and they are behind by 1 point. Gonna head to Walmart after the game. BBL...

Good Morning, Violets.. Freezin rain here. Same situation as Christmas Eve. Bob goes in early and I'm supposed to wait for Kris and Nathan, but I'm going to go in with him today. I don't want to miss his last Sunday there and I don't think the kids will be able pick me up. We're supposed to have freezing rain snow and sleet all day today. I reset my ticker to show the weight I started at on Jan. 2 So I've lost 3 pounds which I'm happy with. We add soft protein today so that means eggs, eggs and more eggs, plus yogurt. I know I can do it if I can make it past the reception after church today. Everyone have a great day. We're all doing great and need to be proud of ourselves!!!

Good evening, Violets.. I'm so proud of everyone and their new resolve. The soup appears to be a hit. We just finished our last serving tonight and I will be making it again next week. It's too yummy not to repeat. Piehole report for today 2 cups ham and cheese soup 1 liter water (white cran/peach) 2 cups ham and cheese soup 1 soup at hand creamy tomato parmesan bisque 1 liter water (ruby red grapefruit) That's it for the day and I haven't been hungry at all. Hope everyone has a good evening. We are under yet another winter storm advisory for tomorrow. Hope I can get to church on time! Sleep well...

Good evening, Violets. Just finished my second meal of soup for the day. It's just as good the second day as the first. yummy. Ethan was here for a couple of hours and he got to play with Aunt Issy as he calls her. The Bobster had a good time ice fishing even though he didn't catch a thing. He was good though and didn't eat the Hershey's kisses he took with him for the other guys. I'm proud of him. He had a soup at hand when he got home. Tomorrow will be the test. They are having a reception after church for him and will have finger foods and a cake. Hopefully there will be something cheesy or eggy to scrape out from bread and eat. Absolutely NO cake for me. I haven't had any sugar for two days and am not going to spoil it tomorrow. Tomorrow is also weigh in so we'll see how that goes. Laura, you sure don't have good luck with the Craig'slist, do you?? Hope someone comes to get the tv off your hands. The Bobster is sound asleep on the couch with two yorkies ..one on his chest and one in his lap. I think I'll take a little snooze now too. Will check back in later tonight.

Good afternoon, Violets. Haydee.. welcome home!!! We've missed you!! You won't recognize TracyK.. she's down 7# and you won't recognize Jenn... she's missing a gall bladder. The rest of us you'll probably remember. I'm doing well on the 2nd day. I had a glass of chocolate milk for breakfast and 2 cups of soup for lunch. I'll have the soup for supper too. It really is great. I don't mind the tofu. I kinda like the texture, but I can imagine kids wouldn't take to it too easily. Kris and I got the family tree decorations done for the shower. She got a gift in the mail today. It's a Teddy Bear.. but a special one. It's one that comes from the company that made the very first Teddy Bears back in 1909. It's really cute. She also got a CD of baby lullabies. We have 45 people coming to the shower so far and I'm expecting it will end up at 50. We're having soup, salads, breads and cupcakes. I have to get placemats at Gordon foods and then I'll be done with paper products. Laura.. what a hoot with the picture. Make sure you save it. That would be so interesting to look at years from now. Off to color with Ethan. Kris and I are babysitting for a little while today.

TRACY!!!!!! 7# gone already. What the heck, girl. You're MELTING!!!:waytogo:

Good Morning, Violets. We're up getting the Bobster ready to go ice fishing. DD Kris and I will stay here and work on baby shower decorations. Day 2 is here and we're ready for it. The Bobster is afraid of having to pee while he's fishing, and I told him it would be no problem since he's a guy. He can just write his name in the ice! Everyone have a great day!!

Pistons won their 6th in a row! Teachlady heads to bed!! Everyone sleep well. Day one of the 5 day pouch diet is history. We made it!!!
-
I went there, Terry. But you had already left.I got into the support chat room and the messages were just flying in there!!! Can't keep up with that at my age. I'm watching the Pistons game on tv. It's almost as exciting as being there in person. PamELa.. I never got an email about the person you met. Did you send it to us??

I used regular everything except the tofu also. And I used shredded cheddar instead of Velveeta.
