Good afternoon, Violets.. Ethan is sound asleep and his mom will be coming in a few minutes to pick him up so I made it through the day with him when the cold was getting the best of me. Of course the Bobster is here to help too. He made chili for supper which sounds good to me right now. He just has to go out and get me some shredded cheddar to put on top. I've only had 2 crab cakes to eat so far today. I'm on my 2nd liter of water. We are under a winter storm advisory for tonight. 3 inches of snow and blowing winds that will make visibility down to zero. The only thing I have tomorrow is our PMS luncheon at noon and then Ethan comes at 12:30 til his daddy comes to pick him up. The birds outside the window are telling me a storm is coming. There are tons of them eating at the feeders. Back to playing solitaire and hearts. BBL..

No spas for me either. I'll be singing sweet lullabies to Carson whilst PamELa will be feeding him rum balls.

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm nursing a darn good cold. I went to bed at 8:30 last night and slept til 7:30 this morning. I'm not even going to get out of my jammies today. Ethan is here and he's playing baseball on the Wii. It's amazing to watch him and see how much he knows about it already. Kat.. fingers are crossed and prayers offered that Rick doesn't get laid off. Janie.. I agree with your calendar. Ya gotta love yourself first and foremost. We all love you so that's a good start! TracyK.. hope you get that miracle at the doc's today. Michelle.. congrats on the weight loss!! wooo hoooo, you're doing great! I am so glad I did the day pouch test. It sure put me in the right mindset to get this thing done once and for all. My eating has changed drastically and I have not had sugar for over a week and have been lo-carbing it as well. I feel like I am in control once again and it's a great feeling. I was looking at flights again last night and I'm going to leave from Detroit so I have a non stop flight to Alabama. I'm not messing around with those short hops that can get delayed or cancelled. Time to go medicate myself for the day. Everyone have a great one!! HELLO, PAMelA!!

Good evening, Violets. I'm finally back from church and still feeling like !@#$. I'm going swab my nose with Zicam, take my Clariten and head to bed. It's been a long day and I've done great on eating. Had a slice of cheese for breakfast, a half stuffed pepper for lunch and at the church reception, I had 2 black olives, 1/2 deviled egg, 1 slice cheese and 2 cocktail weiners with no sauce. I'm ready for a little soup and bed. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well. Ethan comes at 8 tomorrow morning for the day so I hope I'm feeling better in the morning. Terry.. when do we need to have the balance of the payment???

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up early for church and feel like ..ok, I won't say it, but I'm thinking it. I am getting my first cold of 09 and it's kicking my butt. I think everything from the last few weeks is finally catching up with me. I took Zicam nose swabs and hope that will help. I have church this morning and then going to Bob's former little church as they install their new pastor. He can't go cause he has to stay away from the church for a year so they don't keep depending on him. Sucks, but he does everything by the letter........ except lapband!! Everyone have a great day. I probably will head to bed after I get back from the second round of church so I can sleep this thing off. I have Ethan from 8-4 tomorrow and that's going to wear me out more.

Good evening, Violets.. The baby shower is history and it was lovely. We had 52 in attendance and had plenty of food. Kris got lots of beautiful gifts. She had to cram everything into her Saturn Vue and will let Nathan unload it. I gave away all the candy and cupcakes that were leftover. I had a couple of bites of salad and a cup of chicken gumbo soup so again I did well and no sugar!! YEA ME! I had a longggggggg nap after we cleaned up. I feel almost human again. I'll get pics downloaded today or tomorrow. The Pistons are on at 9 and I'll be watching them hoping for another win. I screamed and screamed at them last night and helped them win by 3 points!:thumbup: It snowed most of the day today..we got about 4 inches of light, fluffy stuff. I was pleased that so many of the older ladies from church were able to make it out. Everyone have a great evening. Weigh in for me tomorrow. I've been good all week, so I'm anxious to see how the numbers reflect it.

Good morning, Violets.. I'm dressed and getting ready to do my hair and put on my make up so I'm ready for the shower. Leaving in an hour so I can check on last minute details before everyone arrives at noon. The Bobster is the official photographer so I have my fingers crossed for some good pictures. It snowed here last night. We got a couple of inches of the blow away, fluffy stuff, nothing heavy or wet, thank goodness. I figure we'll have 50-55 at the shower. I hope we have enough food!!! Everyone have a great day and I'll check in this evening. Jenn???? You're leaving your house til July? And you're just getting the kitchen done??? New job??? When did this all happen? Did I miss a post or two or twelve??

Good luck to you and your wife too!! My DH and I were banded a month apart. It's great to have someone to go through it with.

Good evening, Violets.. Been REALLY busy getting ready for the baby shower tomorrow plus having Ethan for 8-9 hours every day. It's wearing me out!! Thanks for the text Tracy. I'm not avoiding the site.. just really busy. I've done really, really well on my eating. I'm back to how I was when I was first banded. Haven't had any sugar for almost a week now and have been lo-carbing it as well. I made 2 dozen cupcakes for the shower and I didn't even lick the spoon. I made Cinnamon Candy Apple Salad and didn't eat a single red hot candy. Now that's really something for me!! We're having soups, breads, salads and cupcakes at the shower. I should be fine with the soup and some salads. Just have to avoid the cupcakes. Jenn.. I'm SO PROUD of you hitting your -100#!!! I remember when you thought your band wasn't working for you. What a difference a year (or two) makes! Can't wait to see pics in your new skinny jeans. I'm waiting for Ethan's daddy to get here and pick him up so the Bobster and I can go out to eat. I'm hungry for fish! Shower tomorrow and I'm going to crash afterwards. Don't send the flying monkeys after me.. Alllll be back!!

Good evening, Violets.. I'm back from choir and eating dinner out. The bad news is I ate three pieces of pizza. The good news is I didn't eat the crust!!!! Not one bite. I just scraped the cheese, pepperoni and onions off and ate that and enjoyed it. The Bobster ate 5 pieces and I was not happy with him. But that's always been his downfall. And he was talking and lost track of what he was eating. Unfortunately he didn't get a PB reminder that he had a band. But I'm sure it will remind him when he steps on the scale. Terry.. I also have a son who is bi-polar and who took himself off his meds. He saw the movie Beautiful Mind and said if that guy could do it, so could he. He still struggles with manic episodes, but for the most part is doing extremely well. He's the daddy of Mara, Everett and Amelia and the husband of a VERY understand wife. I know what you're going through and you have my prayers. It's snowing hard here. I had to drive really slowly on the way home. The snowblower is in the shop for a new pull cord. Of course the Bobster didn't take it in when it wasn't snowing. That would make too much sense!!! I'm going to watch the Pistons game and surf the net. I LOVE having the laptop so I can sit in the living room with the Bobster instead of in a room by myself. Everyone have a good evening.. Sleep well..

Oh Kat.. I'm so sorry to hear about all the grief surrounding what should be an awesome experience. Abbey's husband sounds just awful and neither you nor Rick have any reason to be treated the way you have been. I certainly understand Rick's anger and your hives. Take care of and support each other. We're here for you to lean on. Our prayers to your family. I've been good on my eating again today. I had a slice of cheese and a couple of bites of yogurt for Breakfast and a piece of talapia for lunch. Kris brought Ethan some french fries and she had chinese take out. She's left for her doctor's appointment and Ethan's mom just came and got him. She got out a couple of hours early today and I'm happy I have some quiet time before choir. I just took some peanutbuttered pinecones rolled in bird seed out and hung them from the tree branches. We had a ton of birds this morning.. a good sign of a storm. It's still snowing out and the Bobster has already done one pass on the driveway with the snowblower. I better take advantage of my quiet time and get some house cleaning done. Ethan tends to leave it like a tornado hit it. BBL...

Good morning, Violets.. We are getting snowed on this morning, but no ice. I see on Weather Bug where the big storm is hitting Jenn and Michelle's area with lots of ice. Snow I can handle.. ice, not so much. Ethan is here for the day. He really wore me out yesterday and today will be the same 8-5 and then choir for me. Tomorrow I can sleep in cause he doesn't arrive til 12:30. I have to try and get most things done before he gets here. We're going to try and take him out sledding somewhere today to burn off some energy. He didn't take a nap at all yesterday and that wears on Gramma!! Eating was really good yesterday. Still no sugar and still lo-carb. Just had a slice of cheese for breakfast with 2 spoonfuls of yogurt. Not really hungry for anything else. Jenn.. you take care of yourself and be careful!!!! Good evening, Violets.. I'm back from my rehearsal. Sure is hard to get back in the groove after having 3 weeks off. Our concert is in March so we have to really work hard the next few months to get ready. Kat.. can't wait to hear the baby's name and to hear that everything is ok. Kris has a dr's appointment tomorrow and pretty soon will start having them weekly. It's getting close! I'm going to watch SVU with the Bobster. See you all tomorrow. Tracy and Jenn.. hope you're both feeling better tomorrow. I did great eating today. We went to Culvers and I had a butter burger and took the bun off and just ate the burger, cheese and fixings.
