Good evening, Violets.. Well, I slept for 2 hours after taking my percocet and luckily I told the flute quartet I wouldn't be making it before I fell asleep. I also emailed my singing group and said it would be another week before I got back with them. But I do have to do choir on Wednesday... no choice with that. I don't have therapy on Wednesday so maybe I'll be lucky and be able to sit and stand for an hour while I direct. Dolores.. thanks for the info. I keep thinking I'm the only one who has had this bad of a recovery, but as my therapist says.. everyone is different. I felt better after I woke up from my nap, but I'm going to have Bob help me bend and stretch the knee now before I head to bed. I see more percocet in my future!! Everyone have a good evening.. sleep well.

Hey Violets.. Not a good day today. After therapy I felt like the first day after surgery. Can barely bend my knee to walk. During therapy we got it to bend to 112 on the total gym, but it left me aching and ready for a pain pill. I got some time in the pool this afternoon and did more walking and bending. I'm icing it now and wondering if I'm ever going to be back to being pain free. I'm supposed to go to a flute rehearsal tonight, but not sure I'm going to make it. They have added another therapy session tomorrow... gee, can't wait. Sorry to be a whiner, but dang, it hurts!!!!

Good Morning, Violets.. Headed to therapy this morning and then vegging the rest of the day. The Bobster had to go to Kris's since she threw out her back and can't lift Grady today. So he'll be spending the day out there until Nathan can get home. It's going to be a very hot day today so I'll get some pool time and the a/c will be cranked up. PamELa... have a great first day of school. I remember those first days well. Glad I could sleep in until 9 today!! I know, I know, I won't rub it in. Everyone else have a great day!! Good morning, Violets.. Had a good night's sleep and now off to church for the first time in 6 weeks. I plan on some pool time this afternoon and a nice, long nap. It's back to work tomorrow for me. Been a long time since I've had to go to rehearsals, but I think I'm ready to get back in the routine. Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning, Violets.. Looks like a beautiful day here today. 88 degrees for a high. It's POOL time!! Gotta keep the knee bending. I had a great night's sleep on the couch. Bob is going golfing for most of the morning. I have my tabloids to read and laundry to do. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good evening, Violets.. Just up from a 2 hour nap while Bob went golfing. Therapy at 3:15 was so good! I got the knee to bend to 110 without feeling like I had to scream from the pain. Rode the stationary bike, did the total gym and all of the exercises were so much easier. I sure hope this holds! I will be in the pool and on my stationary bike tomorrow to I don't lose any ground over the weekend. Got good news from Joe in Wyoming.. he will start working on the oil rigs on Monday. Much better job, much better pay, much better benefits. He is a happy camper because now he knows he can take care of his family. Ethan misses his Gramma and Grampa and I sure do miss him, but things are looking so much better for them out there. We'll be making a trip out there in a few months so I can get my Ethan fix. Off to get my tabloids and read and eat pizza for supper. Life is good!! Everyone enjoy their weekend!

I am home and feeling great!!! No sickness at all. He did a general with the stuff that killed Michael Jackson... He died???? It was extremely painful when I woke up.. I did my best not to scare the other patients, but the pain pills kicked in fairly quickly and I was able to go home a half hour after I woke up. Doc said there was a LOT of popping and cracking. He got it to bend to 120. I have therapy this afternoon so as not to lose what I gained today. Can't tell you how great it was to wake up and not be puking. I told the anesthesiologist that I was going to name my next child Annie after him. Going to go ice the knee until therapy at 3:15. Thanks for the prayers and purple power.. they worked!!!

Thanks, Dolores... Things are not looking good. I already have the dry heaves this morning. I know it's all in my head, but I can't do anything about it. Just wish this was over and done with. ;o((

Will try and post in the morning, but not sure if I will have time. I need to shower and do my hair and be at the hospital by 9. Procedure is at 10:30 and if all goes well, I should be home around 1 p.m. I just am so afraid of having the dry heaves again. I'm going to ask them not to put pain meds in my IV and just give me my percocet pills to take orally. Off to bed. No food or drink until after I get home tomorrow. I just took my last pain pill. Everyone have a good day tomorrow and I'll check in or have Bob check in asap. Love you ladies!!

Not good news from my doc today. I have to go to the hospital tomorrow to be put under again so he can do some manipulation of the knee and get it to bend more. He says this happens to 10% of the knee replacement people. Lucky me. Takes 15 minutes, but is so painful, I have to have a spinal yet again. Oh joy.

Good morning, Violets.. Another cloudy day here today. Sure wish the sun would come out. I'm getting in the pool today, no matter what. Will just have to stay under the water as much as possible and get out when I'm done exercising instead of floating around on the lounger. I had therapy yesterday and then made cookies, cooked dinner and ventured out of the house to walk around K-Mart. Not good. Came home and then knee was throbbing. I had to take 2 pain pills before bed. Thank goodness they do the trick. Will definitely have to remember them for the trip next month. Haydee, can't wait to see the bump!!! I absolutely LOVED being pregnant. The best for you will be when Sophia starts moving around. That's the part I miss the most. Michelle... time is flying by, isn't it?? High school and Jr. High.. wow. Janie.. hope you're feeling ok today. My percocet pain pills are my sleeping pills now. They are great for getting me to fall asleep, but dang the weird dreams I get!! My jeans are starting to get a little snug so I know I need to start controlling the eating more. I don't get my fill until Sept. 20 and it won't be more than 1 cc. Of course I made cookies yesterday and Bob bought me sea foam and we polished off the ice cream cones... arghhhhhhhhhh. And of course I can't do any meaningful exercise except for the stationary bike and that's really, really slow. I better get going and get dressed for the day. Kris usually comes over on Tuesdays after she goes grocery shopping. I get to babysit Grady tomorrow for a couple of hours while she gets her hair cut and colored. Not sure I'm ready, but will be nice to love him up for the first time in 6 weeks. Everyone have a wonderful day.

Good afternoon, Violets.. PamELa.. glad to hear the good news about Susanne's mom. Prayer and purple power are an unbeatable combination!! I haven't been to church for 5 weeks!!! But this is my last week of leisure. I will go to church next Sunday and then that week starts all of my rehearsals once again. I made some cinnamon frosted zucchini bars today and did a load of laundry. Now to settle in on the couch and watch the Tigers hopefully beat Cleveland. Everyone have a great day!
