DIL Jen is at Point East which is the mental health unit of the hospital. Hopefully she'll get the help she needs. Ethan is still here until his daddy comes to pick him up. We've read books and played Wii all day. Gramma is tired, but happy to be able to help this way. Just wish we were closer to Kat to be able to give her our love and support in person.

DS Joe just called. DIL's mom is taking her to the hospital. Thank goodness. Hopefully they can get her on some meds to get her back on track. Up to this point she has refused meds. Only problem is, it's going to take up to 6 weeks for the meds to be effective. It's going to be along haul for awhile, I'm afraid.

Good morning, Violets... Just checking in. Ethan is with me for the day and I'm giving him as much loving as possible. Things are a bit better at home according to Joe. They are having a family meeting tomorrow to discuss the issues. Not much more info than that. I told Joe that he HAD to call 911 the next time this happens. Off to love up Ethan. Well, my turn to ask for prayers. Ethan's mom went off the deep end to day, kicking, screaming, swearing and threatening to kill herself. DS Joe is fed up and wants a divorce. He is waiting for her mother to arrive right now and says he'll let her handle it, he's done. I feel very, very sad and helpless right now.

Just back from church. I finished my lunch of tuna salad and soy nuts.. but you already guessed that! Off to my rehearsal in a few minutes. Kat.. I offered prayers for Manda today in church so there were quite a few praying for her recovery today. Will check back later...

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up and heading out to church and then have a 3 hour singing rehearsal this afternoon. We have a concert on March 13th and have a couple of tough numbers we need to work through. It's going to be a long day today. Temp is 26 and we should get some more melting snow today. It's strange looking out my laundry room window and not seeing the mound of snow that was on the fence and shed roof. I see tons of bird seed and dog poop out my patio door... yuck. Sure signs of spring. Kat.. hope you were able to get some sleep last night. I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. That's not going to help this afternoon when I can't take a nap. Hope Manda is doing better today. Keep us posted. Gotta run and get choir stuff ready before everyone arrives. Everyone have a great day!!

Good evening, Violets.. Just back from Applebees. Usually the Bobster and I share a fajita meal, but this time I just had the french onion soup and he brought half his meal home. Piehole report: Breakfast..tuna with soy nuts 1 slice cheese Lunch...tuna with soy nuts and romaine lettuce and 1/2 yellow pepper black cherry/cream/splenda smoothie Snack...few cashews Supper...1 cup french onion soup 2 liters water Done eating for the day and I'm jumping into the hot tub and do my exercises in there. First time I've been in the hot tub in months. It's 40 out right now so it will be comfortable going outside in my suit and robe. Kat.. glad Kinsey is doing better, but wish Manda was too. I sure hope they can get things under control. MRSA is really tough to treat. I can't believe a specialist in CD's would be so careless!!!! Everyone have a good evening. I'm going to go check out Michelle's DH's blog then jump in the hot tub. Sleep well.

Good morning, Violets.. Slept in this morning til 9 and have been working on chores ever since. The Bobster and I cleaned out our closets and got 3 huge bags of clothes ready to send to St. Vincent's. I got a paper typed up for the hospital and have laundry in the washer. I just finished breakfast, tuna and soy nuts of course!, and now it's almost time for lunch. I have a meeting at 1-3 and then home to finish laundry. Nothing on the agenda for the rest of the day. Just a lazy Saturday around here. Temp is 43 so the snow is melting. I just hope the huge icicle on our roof comes down today. It's massive. Laura... that was a sad read. Sadder yet is knowing that there are other children out there like Dani who suffer every day of their lives. Kat.. any update on Manda and Kinsey today? You sure have been in my thoughts and prayers this week. Off to get a load out of the dyer. Everyone have a good day..

I did the pouch test the first week of January and lost 10# that month. It put me back on track. I highly recommend doing the test.

Sure hope we hear from Kat soon. I've been thinking about her and Manda and Kinsey all day.

Ahhhhhhhhh yes, I remember those days. After I was done teaching at 3:30, I still had an hour and 15 minute drive home. I am sooooooo glad those days are behind me.

Good afternoon, Violets.. DD Joe picked Ethan up about noon. Everything has calmed down at home. Hopefully when her insurance kicks in this month she can go and get some happy pills so these episodes don't continue. DD Kris stopped by. She went to work yesterday and it was her last day. Her maternity leave kicks in after the baby is born. Everyone at the medical office is upset about how she was treated. Her doctor said if there is a problem getting back to work when she wants to return, that she'll fight for her. Nathan is calling the big boss today and letting her know his dissatisfaction with how things were handled. Heather...I love tuna salad and love things crunchy. When I added the soy nuts to the tuna it was perfect. I buy the tuna salad from Walmart deli so I don't have to do a thing except add some onion flakes, a little splenda and the soy nuts. As PamELa would say... Easy Peasy!! I varied my meal today. I didn't have tialpia for lunch.. I had some hearts of romaine lettuce with about a Tbl. of dressing and a cherries and cream smoothie. I'll have the tilapia for supper. I'm going to make roast beef leftovers.. chop up beef, potatoes and carrots and warm it up in the left over gravy for the Bobster. Then we won't have to go out to dinner and I can get rid of the roast beef leftovers. I might even have that with him if I'm not to lazy to pick out the potatoes. Hope things are going well with Manda today. MRSA is nothing to fool around with.. Michelle, love the Supermarket version. Kris took it home with her today and will bring it back to me tomorrow so I can read it some more. I see a lot of things I had been eating that I thought were healthy, but were on the "Not That" side.. yikes!! Off to surf the net and check on facebook. Everyone have a good afternoon.

Good morning, Violets.. Woke up this morning when the Bobster yelled up at me that Ethan was on his way over. He wasn't supposed to be here til noon today, but DS Joe called and said DDIL was having an "episode". Basically she goes nuts. She is bi-polar and doesn't take meds. He didn't want to leave Ethan there and isn't going to work because he doesn't want to leave her alone. Sooooooooo we have Ethan for who knows how long which is fine with me. I'd rather have him here where he's safe than at home with his mom at this point. Kat.. I agree with what Tracy and Terry said. Accidents happen. Nothing to blame yourself about. Just be strong and soak in the prayers from all of us for you, Manda and the family. There are LOTS being said for you right now. TracyK... CONGRATS on the -3. Now, just some old fart advice... don't undo it with chocolate today or Valentine's day. Yesterday I got the Eat This, Not That Supermarket edition. It showed Nutella and I got to thinking. I would love to sit down and eat the whole jar at one seating. It would probably take me 20 minutes to polish it off and I would be totally happy for those 20 minutes. BUT then it would take me weeks and weeks to get off the pounds I would gain. And I'd be depressed and it just wouldn't be worth it!!! I'm eating my tuna salad with soy nuts for breakfast and will have tilapia for lunch and fish for dinner tonight. I don't even think about snacks anymore. Sitting here at the laptop in the living room has been a great help. I have my liter of water next to me and when I used to get up from the other computer and walk through the kitchen, I'd grab a snack to eat. Now I just grab for my water and am satisfied. I watch Ethan play on the Wii or read him a book and it all keeps me busy.. too busy to think about eating. Everyone have a good day.. say a prayer or two for Manda and Kat and keep the faith.

KAT!! OMG...how can it be negative one day and positive the next?? Are they playing games at that hospital??????? Prayers upon prayers for Manda.

Terry... she did have a note from her doctor. They were all set to have her work only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but Mondays are their really busy days and they changed their mind and told her she had to work Mondays until the 16th when her replacement takes over. She is way too tired to do the Mondays so she said she was done. We'll see what happens today.

Good morning, Violets.. Got a late start this morning. Didn't get up til 8 when Ethan arrived and then had to take my shower, wash my hair and then get some church work done. We are redoing the web page and I had some articles and a picture to submit. Got that all done and Ethan wanted me to read to him for awhile. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LAURA!!! It's your last birthday as a mom to be. Next year Carson will be celebrating with you. Haydee.. I'm so furious with Kris's scheduling boss. Kris got excellent evaluations, she's a hard worker and never asked for any help. She worked all through the morning sickness, never missing a day. And now 9 months later, when they have known she would be leaving, they are giving her grief over it. She is working today and will talk to the doctor she works for. She wasn't in yesterday. And yes, she wants to go back there. It's a great job as she would work only 3 days a week and get full benefits. Up until yesterday, it was a great arrangement. Gotta run.. Ethan wants to be read to again. Everyone have a great day!!
