134 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! -
Good evening, Violets.. Ethan has finally crashed on the couch. His daddy isn't home from work yet. He is a little over an hour away. Jen and Joe are leaving to go downstate tomorrow afternoon and won't be back until Saturday afternoon so guess where Ethan will be??. Bob won't be able to go to the lapband support group on Saturday, unfortunately. I need to find something Valentine-y to take to the meeting. It certainly won't be candy! Piehole report for today. Breakfast....tuna salad with soy nuts Snack...1 slice 98% fat free bologna blueberry/cream/spenda concoction Lunch...tuna salad with soy nuts and mandarin oranges Supper...1 slice ham, 1/2 sweet potato, couple bites of veggies 2 liters water Exercise = 12 hours of entertaining Ethan We're going to watch CSI and then I'm headed to bed. Gramma is pooped!! Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

Your 5 minutes in time out starts right now.

The Bobster has lost 50# but never lost his belly.. just like me. The sweatshirt accentuates his belly.. I just laughed when I saw them standing next to each other so I made them pose for the pic. Kris is not effaced or dilated so no baby this week or probably next. But you never know. She weighs more now than I did when I had my surgery. She was not pleased to hear that!!! She's gained 30# so far.

. Yokel is a derogatory term referring to the stereotype of unsophisticated country people. Guess that means us, Laura!!

Sooooooo I'm guessing the Yankee Candle Citrus/Sage car freshener hangin in my car is screaming Northern Michigan Yokel, correct??? hmmmmmmmmmmmm Attached is a picture of Kris and the Bobster. Guess which one is pregnant.

Has anyone heard from TracyinKS?? I messaged her in facebook and sent her a phone text. No response. I hope everything is ok with her.

When I taught Kindergarten the theme for the letter O was Outer Space and I would always get the kids Astronaut Ice Cream for a treat. It's yummy stuff for sure.

Tracyk... I hit 170 once for a few hours and then jumped back up to 173 and then climbed back up to 185. If I can get to 170 this month, I'll be one happy camper. I really, really feel I'm at my sweet spot and in a good frame of mind. I just gave Ethan the last piece of chocolate that a friend gave me. I wasn't even tempted and that's feels so good. I know the band is working when I can get through the week I've had without so much as a taste of chocolate or any other naughty foods. I'm just concerned about the bobster. He ate the nachos and chips last night, came home and fixed peanut butter jelly and crackers and then was looking for something else to eat before he went to bed. He's been hitting the chocolate milk hard too. I mix it with whole milk for Ethan for a treat and I haven't had any. I used to have at least 1-2 glasses of it a day. It's lo fat, but certainly not lo calorie. Well, enough about my eating. I'm sure it's boring.. just like the tuna salad and soy nuts.. lol

Good morning, Violets.. Guess who is here playing baseball on the Wii?? Yup... we have Ethan for the day today and tomorrow as well. Jen is home and resting. I feel much better having Ethan here. Kris is coming over after her doctor's appointment. Kat... things sound like they are looking up for Manda. I'm so glad she's where she is getting good care. I still can't believe all the time they wasted in the beginning not taking care of her right away!!!! Are you going to let the hospital know they were out of line on making her wait so long?? TracyK...want me to send my son there?? He's a disaster restoration specialist. He takes care of floods, fires, and other yucky stuff that I won't even mention. We got tons of rain last night, but luckily it didn't freeze and we didn't get the snow they predicted. It looks really (lalala, Michelle) CRAPPY out there today. No sun, everything wet and melting. The Bobster has a hair appointment today and so do the yorkies so at least Ethan will get out of the house for a while today. Michelle.. just read your post.. Go to a pet store and get some Nature's Miracle. It works wonders with smells. You just spray it on and leave it. If the car wash doesn't work, try it. The scale FINALLY went down 1 pound this morning, so skipping the chips last night was worth it. I haven't had breakfast yet so I better go and get some tuna with..... surprise..........soy nuts. Everyone have a good morning.BBL...

135 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! :crying: -
Good evening, Violets.. Just back from choir and dinner out. For the first time ever, I had Nachos grande and did not eat one single chip.. just skimmed the meat and fixin's off and let the Bobster handle the chips. So my pie hole report for the day is.. Breakfast...1 slice cheese, 1 bite of Ethan's pancake Lunch....tuna salad with soy nuts Blueberry/strawberry/cream/splenda mix Mid day snack...broccoli with cheese sauce (leftovers) Dinner...ground beef, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream about 1/2 cup worth 2 liters water Ethan spent the day here and will be here tomorrow and Friday also. Jen came home today and the meds tire her out so I'll keep the little guy so she can rest up. We're going to watch CSI: New York and then head to bed. Kris stopped by today and she looks soooooo huge and uncomfortable. She has a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I'm anxious to hear how that goes. Everyone have a good night.. sleep well. (((Kat)))

Good afternoon, Violets.. I've finished my shift at the hospital and just finished lunch.. tuna and soy nuts.. who knew?? Kat..glad Manda will be able to come home soon. That's a very good sign. I'm hoping Jen DOESN'T come home soon. I want her in as long as possible so we know for sure things will be ok with her at home by herself. Joe will be working and I'm going to suggest Ethan comes over here so she can rest and get better. Don't know if that will work. I just don't want her out and then having problems again. Laura.. take it from an old lady.. childbirth is awesome. I never had an epidural, just the episiotomy and I never felt it at all. I really didn't feel pain, just pressure..TONS and TONS of pressure..lol But nothing I couldn't handle. When my DIL had Amelia, she had the epidural and I couldn't believe the difference.. she was sleeping through contractions. My stitches were bothersome for a few days afterwards, but I was too stunned with this new little life we created to even worry about a few pinches and pulls. It was just like the stitches after lapband surgery, only in a definitely more southerly area. You'll be fine, Carson will be fine and any uncomfortableness will be forgotten when you lay eyes on your little guy. Speaking of little guys, Ethan wants Grandma to read to him again so I'm off to Hop on Pop for the zillionith time. And loving it!!

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up and ready for Ethan to arrive for the day. I have my hospital shift and choir tonight. But at least I got a better night's sleep the night before. We have no extra bedroom anymore. One is Bob's office and one is the "gym". So Ethan and I slept on the big leather couches in the living room. I'd rather be close by him and he sleeps well through the night so it's not a problem, but of course my mind, like yours Kat, was running a mile a minute so I didn't get much sleep that night. Joe is doing very well considering everything and of course Ethan is very happy and loving it at Gramma and Grampas house. We are under a flood watch for today with melting snow and heavy rain expected. At least all the snow and ice is of the roof now. Kat.. I'm glad to hear things are getting a bit better with Manda. I'm praying that the meds keep the disease in check and she is able to lead a normal life again. I missed the whole HarleyNaNa episode. It was deleted by the time I got online last night after rehearsal. It was confusing to say the least! Ethan will be here any minute and I need to get my hair curled and make up on. Everyone have a good day. Will check back later. CONGRATS, JANIE!!!!

136 Days till the Violet Reunion Bandiversary Bash and 1st ever Violet Baby Shower! -
What the !@#$ are you talking about, Michelle?? What !@#$%^ trucker language are you $%^&ing talking about??? Are your ears covered yet???:tt2: Well, the day is done and Grandma is pooped. Ethan was here until 6 p.m. We had a fun day with reading and doing online games and playing Wii of course. He'll be back tomorrow and the rest of the week. Jen was a bit better today and on two meds now. Hopefully each day will be better. I'm still doing well on eating, though I did make a pre-packaged dinner tonight and it was one of those DON'T EAT THAT ones. I just had a few bites of it.. chicken, Pasta and spinach in a parmesan cheese sauce. The Bobster ate a bunch of it and he's still pb'ing even 5 hours later. It really did him in, but at least we learned a lesson not to have pasta! I'm going to head to bed. Ethan will be here at 8 and I have to go to the hospital and do my shift. Everyone have a good night. sleep well. Continued prayers to Kat and Manda.

Recipe??? Or do we just name a food and drool??:tt2:

Good morning, Violets.. Ethan slept well last night and I just tossed and turned thinking about everything and the ramifications of it all. Jen called Joe last night and she was as bad as ever. She said she was going to "off" herself when she got out and for him to take her keys in and tell her boss she quits. She's got a decent job as Asst. Manager of Big Lots with a decent salary. Without that they will not be able to make it. Her other son, Ethan's step brother is moving back in with his dad, understandably so. But that means another income cut from child support. So they will have to move to a smaller, more affordable place. Joe says if she doesn't have the right attitude when she is released, he will take Ethan and find an apartment for the two of them and she can go live with her mother. All in all, it is looking pretty bleek, but if the meds kick in maybe that will change. He's going in to work today and won't be calling her since it's a public phone, but will wait for her to call him. Ethan is totally unaware and I plan to keep it that way. First thing he said this morning was "good morning, Grandma". So sweet and so nice to wake up to. Schools are closed here today because of freezing rain last night, but it's supposed to get up to 51 today so more melting for sure. CPA comes at 11. Will check in later today. Kat...my continued prayers for you, Manda and the family.

Ethan has had his bubble bath and is now sleeping. Grandma will soon be asleep too. Tomorrow our CPA will be here to go over tax info. Then it will be Ethan and me for the day until rehearsal in the evening. I'm grateful today for staying true to the band and not letting stress get the better of me. I'm also grateful for being able to give Ethan love and attention. Good night, Violets.. Sleep well.

I think the thing I am most pleased about today is that I have not turned to eating to take care of the stress. I've been good and eaten only my regular tuna and soy nuts with a blueberry/cream/splenda concoction. I'm having tilapia for dinner with some broccoli and cheese sauce. Time to start cooking supper here. Oh, and I don't like coffee so any of the mocha ooo la la drinks would not be a treat for me....... now a McDonald's chocolate milkshake.. that's a different story!!! I sent you all an email with the latest details. Also didn't want to post it here.

Looks like Ethan will be spending the night tonight. Gramma's gonna be worn out!!
