Good Morning, Violets.. -11 degrees here this morning. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! I'm off to my hospital shift and then nothing until rehearsal this evening. No paczki's for us this year. Actually none for us in two years! I'm stuck at 172 so it's time for the pouch test again. I'm going to do that March 1st and see if it works for me again. I'm not gaining, thank goodness, but not losing either. I have no idea what to give up for Lent. I've already given up sugar and carbs. hmmmmmmmmm nope, no way will I give up the computer!!! Maybe I'll give up sloth. There's the ticket!! Everyone have a great day. I'll check back later.

Good evening, Violets.. It was a nice, quiet day today. Ethan slept for 3 hours and when he woke up, his daddy was here to take him home. Not a bad babysitting gig! The Bobster and I are watching Iron Man on pay for view and then I'm headed to bed. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

Ok.. I have skinny legs, and skinny wrists, but my tummy is definitely pregnant looking. Unfortunately at the end of 9 months I won't have anything to show for it except the same belly!!!

Hey PamELa.. how is your new student.. AB or JZ or MR.. or whatever the heck his name is?? Kat... so happy to hear Manda is doing so well. What a difference a day.. or week.. or several makes!! Hey Laura... if I was to take a pic of my tummy, I'd look just like you! Does that mean I'm pregnant too??? Kris looks like she is carrying a GIGANTIC basketball that is lopsided. She looks so uncomfortable. Ethan is still sleeping, so I don't think I'll have to worry about him begging for the Wii. His dad comes at 5 to pick him up.

I'm getting mine next month. Should have our tax refund by then. Can't wait!!!

We just had this discussion Friday night at dinner with Kris. Your child and your cousin's child would be second cousins. Your cousin's child would be your first cousin once removed.

Good afternoon, Violets. It's been a quiet day so far. Ethan came at noon and his mother said he had been grounded from the Wii. He's not doing well on the potty training and sharing has become an issue so no Wii here either for a couple of days. He's sleeping on the couch right now so it's not a problem for the time being. We were going to go to Kris's house today for a change of scenery, but since she couldn't come into town yesterday to grocery shop because of all the snow, she came in today. So she came over here and brought us soup for lunch. I had Harvest grain, vegetable and sausage and bob had White chili. It was yummy. Rehearsal is cancelled for tonight because of the schools being closed (we practice at the high school). So the bobster and I will be lazy this evening. We need a couple of things from Walmart and will get that after Joe picks up Ethan. Off to do a load of laundry and wait for the Schwans man.

Good morning, Violets.. 10 degrees here, but no new snow. Glad it missed you Jenn. We sure got dumped on. I'd like to think it is the last time this winter, but I know better living in Northern Michigan. We have at least 2 more good storms to look forward to before I can even dream of getting my swimming pool up and running. I'm waiting for Ethan to arrive and we're going to go out to visit Aunt Kris today. She's bored at home and Ethan loves it out there so we'll make the trip to spend the early afternoon with her. It's only 40 minutes away. Kat.. hope things are still going well with Manda. The Bobster asks every day if I've heard anything new. Everyone have a great day. Suzie.. Good evening, Violets.. Rehearsal went off as scheduled. Only two couldn't make it in. We rehearsed for 3 hours and got some more things worked out. I fixed pineapple glazed spare ribs for supper and had one little piece and then started pb'ing and haven't quit yet. I really don't like that feeling, especially when the ribs tasted soooooooo good. Oh well, live and learn. The snow finally stopped, thank goodness. Jenn, I hope you don't get hit too hard with it today and tomorrow. Ethan comes tomorrow and then in the evening I have Community chorus.. another 2 hour rehearsal. Will the fun never end??? Good thing I love to sing. No new grandbaby yet. Luckily she didn't go into labor in the midst of this storm. Well, I've pb'd 3 times during this post so I think I'll quit and just stay in the bathroom for a little bit. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

Holy cow, Laura!!! That class sounds like torture!! Kris's classes are on Monday nights for 6 weeks.. 2 hours at a time. I think she's done with them now. She will be induced on March 4th one week after her due date, if she hasn't delivered by then. I forbid her to go into labor during this storm and so far, so good. And it takes about 44 years to Celebrate 40. We met in 1965, my first year in college, got engaged in '66 and married in '69. I've lived with the Bobster twice as long as I lived with my parents. yikes!! It's STILL snowing out and no signs of stopping. I'm going to rehearsal at 1, but not sure how many more will be there. There were 28 in church today so they met in the chapel. I was not one of the 28 and only people who could walk in were there. I'm going to go figure out what to have for lunch.

Well, it looks like we got the 10-12 inches last night and church choir is cancelled. I'm not even going in to church and I'm just a couple of miles away. Our road isn't plowed nor are the main roads and probably won't be till later. No money in the budget for overtime for the road commission. Terry.. that sounds like a wonderful idea. My favorite cruises are the ones to the Caribbean. The water color is unbelievable! Course Hawaii might be my favorite after next month. Well, I'm all dressed for church, but not going so I'm going to get back into some jeans and a sweatshirt and enjoy my morning. Rehearsal this afternoon at 1. Hopefully I can make it to that!!

Good morning, Violets.. Jenn.. good luck with your weather today. We got DUMPED on last night. I think we have about 10 inches of new snow and the wind was howling last night so it's drifted all over and it's still snowing!! I know I won't have much of a choir today so we'll have to wait and see if we can do the anthem. Michelle.. don't know what to tell you. It's a tough situation. You know the mom would have been mortified to see the mess, but the rest of the family is just living like guys normally do and are perfectly ok with it. Jane..I'd gladly fit all the Violets in somehow. We really need to think about taking a cruise together sometime. Prices for 2010 are VERY reasonable. I know the Bobster wouldn't mind a cruise with the Violets on board!! Off to get ready for church. The Bobster is snow blowing so I can get out of the drive. Everyone have a great day!!

Well, I never went on any cruises until my late, late 50's after we retired. This cruise coming up is to celebrate 40 years of marriage and you know how long that must have taken!!

lalalalalalalala!! Typical weekend,eh?? It's SNOWING here!! The Bobster just went out to get some more bird seed. They are flocked by the feeder, so that means we're going to get lots of snow. Got the bedroom all cleaned and dusted and now going to get some clothes picked out for our next cruise.

Good morning, Violets.. Lazy day here today. I'm going to do laundry, help the Bobster clean out under the kitchen sink and start sorting out clothes for Hawaii next month. Other than that, it's just waiting for the snow to hit. Everyone have a great day!! I just finished my tuna/soynuts/oranges. How 'bout you?

Good evening, Violets.. Back from dinner and settling in before watching Monk and Psych. I had a cup of shrimp chowder.. left the potatoes, and one crab cake. It was not very good and I just ate the soft middle out of it. Kris had steak, salad, bread, fettucine alfredo, and turtle cheesecake for dessert!! Yikes!! She is sooooo huge in the belly, everyone who saw her wanted to rub it. Our storm is supposed to hit tomorrow morning. The Bobster and I don't have anything planned tomorrow, so we are going to fight the storm by looking at our summer clothes and starting to pack for Hawaii. Kat.. no, I don't watch Grey's Anatomy. Sorry, can't catch you up!! And yes, send me the pics and I'll be happy to resize them and get them back to you or post them if you want me to.

hehehe.. you're welcome!! I was worried it got lost when you didn't say anything about it yesterday. I mailed it Monday. Wooo hooooooo yet another winter storm warning for tomorrow!! Supposedly 6+ more inches of snow. We never got that much in the last storm.. just lots of wind and about 3 inches of snow. We'll see what tomorrow brings. We're off to go out to dinner with Kris and Nathan. Will check back later this evening. Everyone have a good one!!

Yup... very gory!! Too much for my taste. But still a good book. It really brings to light the plight in Darfur.

TracyK...the book is Cross Country, one of the Alex Cross series. Terry... Kahlil Gibran's words on marriage were read at our wedding 40 years ago this June. We had a signer because my parents were deaf and when rehearsal was done, the reader didn't turn the page back so during the wedding ceremony the reader finished before the signer did so there was a whole page that was just signed and it was beautiful and moving. I think that's what started us off on this long journey together so well.

Good morning, Violets.. Boy, it messes up my morning when I can't get on LBT!! Ethan is here and we just finished reading some Nursery Rhymes and now he's drumming on the couch with my big plastic knitting needles. Ah, the creativity of kids!! Kat.. so glad to hear Manda is home. It's been a long haul and you've all been through so much. I'm just happy the meds and the prayers worked. Denise.. sorry about your problems with daughter. I know how tired I am after Ethan has been here all day. I can't imagine a little, little one to take care of 24/7. Prayers and purple power to you! We finished booking our excursions for Hawaii today. We leave in a little over a month. Just have to get that new grandbaby delivered soon so we can enjoy him/her for awhile before we have to leave for a week. Kris has a doctor's appointment today. She is thinking it's going to be closer to March 3. If it's not here by the 4th they will induce. We're going out to dinner with Kris and Nathan tonight. I had tuna/soy nuts/mandarin orange segments for breakfast and guess who shared it with me!? Ethan had several spoonfuls of it and loved it. Guess he's been with Grandma too long! lol TracyK.. what is the name of the new book?? I finished the one Bob got me for Christmas and it was the goriest one of Patterson's that I have ever read. Not my favorite, for sure. And I would LOVE to go walking with a Violet. sighhhhhhhh someone is just going to have to move. I just sent an email to one of my choir members to ask if he would be interested in sharing responsibilities for the choir so the Bobster and I can go to Florida for a few weeks each winter. We found several pet friendly rental units and want to check them out to see if that's for us. He said he would be interested so I'm excited! I don't have to give up the choir completely and I can still get away with the Bobster when we want to. Kewl!! Ethan is feeding his peach yogurt drops to the dogs so I better go monitor their intake.
