Good afternoon, Violets.. Well, we got a total of about 3 inches of snow and it's finally stopped. Temp is 33 and a little tiny bit of sun. No triking today. sighhhhhhhh I haven't done the chores I planned yet. I did get the laundry done and ironed the Bobster's Hawaiian shirts. He's all packed now except for the last minute things. Now I need to tackle the toy area. I finished the last of the corned beef and cabbage for lunch. Now nothing but Water until Meals for 8 tonight. The hostess is making stuffed shells. That should be interesting. I don't do well with Pasta. Maybe I'll just eat the stuffing and forget about the pasta. You'd think she'd know better.. she's banded too!! Good Morning, Violets.. The BAD news is it's SNOWING here today. We got about an inch last night so no biking today. The GOOD news is, one week from today at this time we'll be in the air headed for Hawaii!!!!! Nothing on the agenda today except cleaning up the toy area and living room after having Ethan for 8 hours yesterday. Poor kid was really tired of Gramma and Grampa by 8 last night. Kris called yesterday and she was doing very well. Grady slept from 11:30-3:30, nursed and slept til 6:30 so she got some sleep too. They are having friends for the weekend so she'll get some extra help. We'll go over to see her next week and give her a break while I get my Grady fix before our long trip. Off to get dressed for the day. I've already had my ham salad with soy nuts and oranges so I'm good to go and just waiting till I can start my first liter of water. Everyone have a great weekend!!!

Good evening, Violets.. We had Ethan for 8 hours today. Joe picked him up at 8 and the seafood buffet ended at 8 so we just split a chicken sandwich and each had a cup of soup. Now I'm one pooped Gramma and am headed to bed. I hope to be able to ride the trike tomorrow. It's supposed to get a little warmer than the 34 degrees today. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Yep.. Spring has sprung in the frozen tundra here. It's all the way up to 33 degrees now. woo hooo. I so wanted to go biking today, but do not want to freeze my face and fingertips again. Tomorrow is supposed to get up to 45, so I might have a better chance. The Bobster and I put together a pantry this morning. We are still speaking and the pantry is all done. We cleaned out and rearranged the cupboards and everything looks great. I guess they call that Spring cleaning. I had my tuna and soy nuts for breakfast and am just now comtemplating what to have for lunch. We are doing the seafood buffet tonight so I don't want to eat to much for lunch. Mighthave a soup at hand and call it good. Off to clean out all the low cupboard snow and have lunch. Yup.. sure is quiet in here. TracyinKS has abandoned us, eh?? sighhhhhhh

Good evening, Violets.. I'm back from my meeting and still no more info from the Bobster. At least I know it's not about me. But sheeeeesh, I wish I could get some more info out of him. And NO, I'm not going to be mean and withhold....(Michelle close your eyes).. everyone else can use their imagination. Off to bed in a little bit. We have a pantry to assemble tomorrow before Ethan arrives at noon. We're going to try the seafood buffet at a local restaurant tomorrow night. They bill us for a child's buffet when we show them our lapband card. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

Dang.. nothing to tell. First time in 40 years he said he coudn't say what it was about. I thought it would be the pastor saying he felt it was time to leave, but no luck. :tt2: Something about a member of the church that could hurt the church, but that's it. Good afternoon, Violets. We're back from Kris's and my Grady fix. He's doing well, and Kris is doing better today. Nathan took care of him last night so Kris could get some sleep. She figured she only had about 2 hours of sleep in a 24 hour time period and that's why she was feeling the way she was. She's pumped milk and Nathan gave Grady a bottle last night and that helped. Grady also has a little conjunctivitis so that's why he was so cranky. He was really good while I was there and I got to hold him and give him special Gramma lovin. Ethan was really good there too. He played with Uncle Nathan and colored and jumped in Uncle Nantan's giant bean bag chair. He's laying on the couch now while we wait for Mom to come and pick him up. Then I'm taking the bike out for a trip around the neighborhood. It's 27 degrees out, but the sun is shining and as long as I wear gloves I should be ok. I love marinated artichoke hearts and the chicken recipe was very, very good. We're having italian sausage patties with sweet potato fries for supper tonight. We had Subway sandwiches for lunch. First one I've had since being banded. I was able to slowly eat 1/2 of a 6" tuna sub with the works. It was really good, but not something I would get often. Chewing the bread really good so it went down was too much work for me.. lol The Bobster has left to go talk to the pastor. I'm so curious to know what it's about. I'll check back in later after my trike ride!!

Good Morning, violets.. What a life I have. I'm sitting here at the lap top watching Ethan sit on the potty watching Dora the Explorer. We're headed to Kris's in a couple of hours to give her some company and get our Grady fix. I bought a sweatshirt at Walmart yesterday that is a zipper front in yellow with Michigan spelled out in white letters. I thought I'd take that to Hawaii for my cool weather cover up. The greatest part about it, is it's a size large and I'm swimming in it. I've always worn a 2 X and had a belly that stretched it out. Then after the band it got down to a comfortable XL, and NOW.. woooo hooooo. Another NSV. I hoped to get on my bike this afternoon after Ethan leaves, but it's 21 degrees out there right now and I saw some snowflakes in the air. grrrrrrrrrrrrr I had my tuna and soy nuts for breakfast and now about to start on my first liter of water. No meetings until tonight. The Bobster is meeting with the pastor of our church for a "serious" discussion at 4. I'm anxious to see what it's about. I really think they are thinking of moving and it would be the best thing for the church. I have a Dems meeting at 7 and then can relax the rest of the evening. Everyone have a great day! Good evening, Violets.. What a busy day today, but it's just about over and I'm finally getting to sit and relax for a bit. So sad to hear that Nastasha Richardson died. I got my bike at 2 today, but I was at flute rehearsal so I haven't even had a chance to try it out yet. We are going over to Kris's tomorrow morning, so I won't get to try it until after Ethan leaves at 4. I sure hope it's warm enough to ride then. The flute gig went well and choir rehearsal did also. We went out for dinner afterwards and the Bobster and I split a fish dinner.. perch and walleye. It was yummy. I was hungry for fish. Now I'm watching tv and surfing with my laptop on my lap top. The Bobster's new Dell Inspiron 9" mini laptop arrived this afternoon so here we are, both in the living room, both on computers and surfing the net. Now, THAT is pure technology for retirees. What a picture we make together. I went with Kris to her doctor's appointment today. She had a very rough night and her hormones are out of whack. She couldn't stop crying. The doctor told her if she needed something to help with her emotions, to just let him know and he'd write out a script. I'm going to talk to her tomorrow when we go there and convince her not to wait too long before making that decision. I got my Grady fix and will get another dose tomorrow. Off to play some online games and watch tv. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

BAck again. I haven't had any ice cream since January except for last night and thank goodness I pb'd on the nuts or I would have devoured the whole thing. BUT we were at friends and she worked so hard on the meal, I wasn't going to say... ummm nope can't have ice cream. I know, that would have been the bandster thing to do, but I wasn't feeling it at that moment. As for the pop tarts... I had forgotten all about them!! I'm in my tuna/soy nuts/orange rut and have been for months. Even Ethan will have a few bites of tuna with Gramma when he gets here in the morning. I'm being lazy this morning. When I get dressed, it will be for the flute gig and that means white blouse, black dress pants. So I'm putting that off as long as I can. We'll go to the bike store at noon and see if he's there so I can buy my bike. Glad the corned beef recipe worked for you, Michelle. I loved it, and I don't usually like corned beef. Course I pb'd most of it, but hey, it tasted good going down! We're into single digits till our Hawaii cruise. I'm all packed except for the last minute things. I can't believe a week from Saturday I'll be in Hawaii!!! I'll have to pinch myself to make sure it's real. Off to get my first liter of water started. It's a heat wave here today, PamELa.. 38 degrees so far. But it was 60 degrees last night at 11 when I went in the hot tub!!

Ethan comes in a few minutes, Kris has a doctor's appointment and needs help lifting Grady, then I have a rehearsal from 2-4 for flutes and then we play at the Senior Citizen's apartment from 4-4:45, then back to church for choir at 5:30 and dinner out afterwards. My day is definitely planned!! Suzie.. glad to hear your sisters are doing well. Take care of yourself too! Sure is different when our "regulars", don't post in here anymore or at least not very often. sighhhhhhh Off to start the day. Everyone make it a good one.

Good evening, Violets.. I better type quickly cause it looks like the site is having problems again judging by the emails I just read. I'm back from dinner with friends. The pasties were wonderful and I ended up eating a whole one.. about 2 cups worth, with a few green beans and a few spoonfuls of cole slaw. Dessert was ice cream with hot fudge and candied walnuts. Welllllll I took a few bites of the ice cream and the nuts and had to run to the bathroom. Up came the dessert. Guess my band was trying to tell me something!! I'm going to watch Law and Order SVU and then hit the hot tub and bed. Everyone have a good night.. Sleep well.

Great start...!!:lunch: I went to buy my new bike today, but the store was closed. We called the owner and he will be there tomorrow at noon, so I hope to get the bike then. I was hoping I could go biking today with the new bike, but ain't gonna happen. We're off to dinner with friends. Will check in later tonight.

Hey Violets.. I just got a text message from Suzie. Her sister was taken to the hospital at 9 last night and they admitted her at 11:10 with pneumonia. When she got home she had to turn around and take her younger sister to the ER. They thought it was a blood clot in her leg. They were there til 5 a.m. She got home and slept for 5 hours and then had to take some things to her older sister. She has to work this evening so won't be on LBT. She wanted me to let you know. Suzie is ok, just very tired.

Top o' The Mornin' to the O'Violet Clan.. I'm headed to my hospital shift and then we're going to look at the bike I've had my eye on.
