Good evening, Violets.. Dinner went well..I just had a bowl of lobster bisque and 1 piece of fish. I had some clam chowder and two sliders for lunch at Applebees. I ate around the potatoes in the soup and pb'd most of the sandwiches. That bread gets me everytime, but it's sooooooooo delicious. The fruit trifle was good too. Now I'm relaxing in my jammies and getting ready to head to bed. We have to be on the road at 7 tomorrow morning to go Kris's and then leave for our shopping trip. I'm taking the laptop so I'll check in tomorrow evening. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

We bought a canvas gazebo and love it. We leave the structure up year round and just take the canvas roof off in the fall.

Actually, the last few times I have had him, he's been very normal with no crying jags. I think he just needed to get used to me.

And here's the latest picture of our little, teeny, weeny, almost 5 month old baby boy.

Good afternoon, Violets.. My house is clean, the strawberry, blueberry, banana trifle is made and I was so counting on enjoying the deck with company, but it's 57 degrees and raining. dang. Jenn.. your pictures look great. Wish I had a deck like you have. I'd be outside every day. We have no deck around the pool. It's a project for when we win the lottery. Off to have dinner with friends and then back here for chit chat and dessert. Everyone have a good evening..

Good morning, Violets.. 55 degrees here at 9 a.m. and supposed to get to 60 (woo hoo) today. My pool is crystal clear again, but of course no heater so it's down in the 70's and I can't use it. Won't have a heater until next week some time. sighhhh Company coming for dinner tonight so I'll be cleaning today. Can't sit out and soak up some sun today so I might as well be industrious inside. My eating has not been the best the last few days. Too much junk and not enough good food. One of these days I'll get back on track. We were out to eat a couple of days ago and one of my son's friends was working there. He had not seen me in a long time and couldn't stop talking about how thin my face looked, telling me I'd lost weight. Ummm yes, I know.. lol The Bobster got a new phone yesterday and he keeps showing me all the neat things it can do. I like my old one that just makes and receives calls and takes pictures of the inside of my pocket....... often. Off to get some breakfast and get ready for the day. Everyone make it a good one. Be good to yourselves!!!

Just a note here, Haydee. The Bobster and I are TOTAL opposites in just about everything you can possibly imagine. And we've been married for 40 years.. engaged 3.5 years before that. And I still wouldn't trade him for anyone. well, maybe Sean Connery.

Good morning, Violets.. A sunny day here so far, but it is supposed to get cooler tomorrow and a few days after. It will be in the 60's. We're having major problems with the pool and I'm so bummed I can't get in it for a while. The chemicals are all out of whack and we're trying to get things back to where they should be. The pool guy says the chemicals were so out of whack that that's what burned out the furnace. He said the ph was so low that being in the water would burn the skin, cause nails to burn off, wrinkle the lining of the pool and turn hair green. NONE of which was happening. I spent 2 hours a day in the pool and had no effects like that. Bob had some stern talking with him yesterday, but got no satisfaction. Looks like we'll have to pay for the new heat exchanger to a tune of $300. We're taking a water sample in every few days to show him. Right now I want the pool crystal clear and it's NOT. grrrrrrrrrrr Grady comes at 9:30 today so Kris can get her hair cut and colored. I got a couple of pics of him yesterday and will try and get them posted today. He was really, really good for me. We sat outside and he just loved looking at all the flowers. He never made a fuss until just before he fell asleep on my shoulder. I'm just finishing up my tuna, soy nuts and oranges. Then it's off to get ready for the day. Everyone make it a good one!

Awwwwwwwwwwright!!! The DOCTOR is in the house. Welcome back.. we sure have missed you. Well, at least I did..:tt2: Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Now it's back to reality. It's a rainy, dreary day here today. I was counting on getting some more sun.. I'm working on a pretty good tan these days. It's 67 degrees right now so my lounging outside ain't happenin' today. We're having company for dessert Friday so I need to do another once over on the house and figure out what to make. I'm thinking a strawberry trifle. Alpena is known for great strawberries and tis the season right now. Son Joe is laid off of work for a while so no Ethan this week. Kris is coming over today and I'm watching Grady while she and the Bobster take her dogs to the vet. She has a St. Bernard and a beagle so they are a handful together. Nothing else on the agenda for me today. No meetings, no rehearsals.. just some laundry and .....oh wait.... I see the sun!!!! Might get some lounging in after all. The pool heater is down again.. but the pool guys say it's because the ph level in the pool was so low that the acidity burned out the heat exchanger. He asked how my skin was and I said I was in the pool at least 2 hours a day and my skin is fine. He asked if my hair was green.. nope, not that either. He poured in a ton of PH increaser yesterday so the pool was all cloudy. It's better today and they're going to come out and check the level. Nobody told us the ph levels could ruin the heat exchanger.. arghhhhhhhhhh I'm off to get dressed and start the day. I know.. it's almost 11 a.m. here, but I got to bed at 2 and was up at 9:45. The life of an old, retired person. Everyone have a great day!! Let us know how dsd did today, Tracy.

Good morning, Violets.. Dare I say it...?? It was 45 degrees this morning. The pool guys are here today because the furnace is malfunctioning again. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I have a PMS luncheon today and then want to spend most of the afternoon in the pool. I have a singing rehearsal tonight. The Bobster and Nathan have gone fly fishing and will be gone all day and into the evening. Hope they have fun. I will be happy to pick out all the dresses for the wedding. You know how hip and with it I am. You have nothing to fear, it will be beautiful. I'm really leaning towards the purple fairy dress with matching magic wands and lots of glittery make up. Ummmmm Haydee..... 89 is nice a cool?? Maybe on YOUR planet!! That would be a stay inside with the a/c cranked up super high for us here. I'm off to get showered and ready for the luncheon. Everyone have a great day!! Michelle.. glad you could check in. Now we need to hear from the good doctor.
-
Like I said.. no need to thank me now. Just seeing you in that dress will be all the thanks I need.
-
What colors does duct tape come in??
-
EVEN BETTER!! I bet PamEla's butterfly will look lovely with this one!
-
Now that's just wrong. I prefer the sedateness of these dresses. (we'd have to be sedated to wear them) And Haydee, I have your wedding dress picked out too. No need to thank me now.

Good morning, Violets.. WELCOME HOME DR. PAM!! I'm off to my hospital shift and then hitting the pool. Air temp. 51.... pool temp. 90 Life is good!

Good evening, Violets.. The Bobster and I had a very nice day today. Church services went well even though there were very few people. Then we headed to an outdoor wedding that Bob officiated at. It was just beautiful out by Lake Huron. It was a very simple, small wedding.. the bride's second and the groom's third. Hopefully Bob's words will stick this time!! We had lunch there... lots of really delish food. I did well with the eating until it came to the chocolate cheesecake. It was to die for. I told Bob we should have split a piece and he said no, he should have had both our pieces, it was that yummy. We came home and I took a two hour nap and then headed to the pool for some exercising and relaxing. Between the heater and the sun, the water temp was 92. I could have spent the whole night in the pool!! Tomorrow is my hospital shift and then guess where I'm going...... right...the pool. Jane.. as soon as we get a definite date from Haydee, it's countdown time again. Off to watch some tv with Bob and then head to bed. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up early to get ready for the early church service. I'm lay reader today plus I'm playing flute and singing a solo. It's call the "Judy show". We have a wedding outdoors at noon. It's 49 degrees right now.. mighty chilly for mid-July. But at least the church won't be hot and stuffy. We don't have a/c in the church and it can get downright uncomfortable during the summer months, but not this year so far. I got my pool time in yesterday. I hope to get some in today, but Kris invited us out for the afternoon. We'll have to see how pooped we are after all the activities today. PamELa should be arriving home today. Hope Michelle and Terry are having fun on their get aways. Off to get prettied up... seems to take longer every time now. :frown::tt2: Everyone have a great day!! Be good to yourselves.

Huh???????

81 here today. The pool is 90.. it was awesome. I did my exercises and then lay on the float for 15 minutes. I have everything ready for company. I'll start cooking in a half hour. I think I'll chill out with Bejwewled on Facebook for a little bit. Everyone have a good evening!

Good afternoon, Violets.. I've been cleaning and getting things ready for supper tonight. We're having pork chops (thick cut) with mango chutney, sauteed bok choy, roasted white and sweet potatoes, tomato and mozzarella salad and angel food cake with fresh strawberries and cool whip for dessert. Hope I can eat more than a couple of bites. Off to the pool for a little exercise and relaxing before I tackle some more cleaning. Hope everyone has a good day!

Kat.. Rick is VERY lucky to be alive. Our daughter in law's father hit a deer with this bike three years ago and didn't survive. Very, very sad. Rick certainly must have had a guardian angel watching over him.

Hey Roomie!! Love the glasses and the hair.. though I loved your hair before too. Did you check your email yesterday or today?? You should have a birthday card from me from yesterday. I didn't get a notice that you opened it yet. I had Grady for two hours tonight and he was really good. Only one little crying jag and 4 oz. of formula took care of it. He had 6 oz. a couple of hours prior so I didn't want to give him another full bottle. He laughed, cooed, smiled. Just a good time this time. I was relieved. Ethan and I were in the pool for over an hour today. What a treat. He's coming tomorrow for a little bit so we'll get some more pool time. The pool is 90 degrees and feels almost like a hot tub. I just love it!! We're having company for supper tomorrow night so I'll be cleaning and cooking and doing some yard work tomorrow. Happy days. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

She says no, no, no... but it's here at the house and next time I get Grady.. hehehehe
-
Jane.... thank you card?? Did I miss something?? I'm lost. Glad you found your dad's birthday card and Haydee's engagement card. (that part I understood!)

As of Monday, the pool is up and running. 86 degrees and Ethan and I are going swimming this afternoon after lunch.
