Laura, I've read many positive posts about having the surgery in Mexico, but dang girl.. you have had so many problems with the band since you got it! I feel so bad for you. Wish I knew what to do. How much does the sleeve cost in Mexico?? Do you have any other options at all?? Makes me realize how thankful I am that my band is working and how I should try harder to do the work I'm supposed to. I got my Shape Up shoes the other day. The are bouncy and make me feel tall, but haven't had a chance to really get out there and walk for a while in them. Hope to do that Saturday when we go to Kris's for the art fair there. Grady is getting his first tooth.. it's just starting to pop through. And of course he's a Mr. Cranky Pants with it. Well, the bad part about the choir party is getting the yard and house clean and ready. The good part is today, everything is clean and I can just relax with Ethan. Laura, I'm praying that you can find a solution to the band problem that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. (((hugs))) girl!!

Good morning, Violets.. Waiting for Ethan to arrive for the day. It's 46, but going to be 75 today so we'll get some pool time. Choir party went great last night except for the charred brats and burgers. The Bobster, who is known for burning things really outdid himself this time. 6 brats and 3 burgers up in flames while he was talking away. Kat and Terry.. I agree with you. But Kat, this was something that required a response. You cannot treat people like that without it's consequences. If any one of us had been attacked like that, I would hope that the rest would step up to the plate and say no, that just isn't right. That's the last I'll say of it. I hope time can heal all the hurt that was dealt.

Yes you personally offended me. a LOT. The Michelle you attacked yesterday is not the Michelle I know, not in her posts and not in being with her in person. I am extremely disappointed in the vicious attack and Michelle deserves an apology, just like the apology she sent you. I will keep the countdown going, but for now, I really don't want to be part of nor need the anger and negativity. Sorry, but friends don't treat friends this way.

You can voice all the negatives you want.. Lord knows we all do that from time to time, but don't be offended when someone wants to help you and challenges, yes CHALLENGES you to be positive so you realize there ARE things to be thankful for!! Good morning, Violets... Woke up to a swimming pool with the water level below the skimmer...not good. Bob backwashed it yesterday when we got home because it had rained so much and the level was way too high, but this morning was just the opposite. I'm filling it right now and hope it will be ok. It's darn chilly this morning.. 44 degrees, but supposed to be in the upper 70's for the week. Michelle... I just ordered my Shape Ups from Finishline.com Under $100 and free shipping. And they had most sizes.. and in stock! PamELa... good luck with the chillins today. Our schools start next Tuesday. I missed buying all those little things for the classroom I used to, so I bought tons of stuff for an Indian reservation at Pine Ridge. I figure if I can't take them to my classroom, at least some kids are going to be able to use them. Got lots of scissors, markers, tape,chalk, all the good stuff. Off to get working on the back yard. Everyone make it a GREAT day!!!

We're back from our weekend. It was certainly a fun one. The Bobster did a great job this morning. I'm always proud when he gets so many compliments afterwards. Jenn... I couldn't find any Shape Ups anywhere, but was told they were on QVC. I am on a 45 day waiting list for them. I tried regular Skechers on and got my size figured out at least. But thanks for offering to be my "sizer". Tomorrow we will be working on the back yard getting it all ready for our annual choir cook out here. I have just a little bit of landscaping to do and we need to get the lawn mowed one last time. We've had so much rain, the Bobster has to mow the lawn every 3 days!! It's 53 degrees and supposed to get down to 38 tonight!! There are frost advisories near by. The good news is that the temps are supposed to be in the upper 70's for most of the week to come. I need to get some more pool time in before we have to close it up. Off to get ready for bed. Not Ethan tomorrow so I can sleep in as long as I want... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Everyone sleep well..

Plenty of time for all of us to hunker down and be in the best shape of our lives when we meet again next May, right?? RIGHT??? We are going to be representing Haydee and we all need to make ourselves proud wearing those foo foo pretty purple dresses you know you want to buy! We're off to church. Had a great day yesterday. We saw Julie and Julia.. wonderful film. Meryl Streep is just amazing in it. We didn't find any Skechers Shape Ups anywhere. I guess I'm going to have to order a pair online. I'm unsure of the size so I'm hesitant to order. TracyinKS... so good to see your post. And glad you are getting things in order for the new you and your new life with Robby. Good morning, Violets.. We are packing up and heading out of town. It's been raining all night and still is. Temp is 58 It will be nice to get away. I'm going shopping for a baptismal suit for Grady and going to look at the new Sketchers, Shape up shoes. Everyone have a good weekend!!

Good morning, violets.. I voted for Carson last night about 11 p.m. Thought that was kewl that I could vote twice in a day, but they must be checking cause I couldn't vote for him this morning. Will have to wait till later this evening, I guess. Jane... I did that lottery ticket mail thingy before and don't really want to do it again. I didn't get a very good response the first time and somehow a minister's wife sending around a letter about lottery tickets isn't the best idea.. lol Though you KNOW I did it once. Tonight is the drawing for the $325 million mega bucks. I can't convince the Bobster to get a ticket or two. sighhhh Now I'll never know what it feels like to be a millionaire. I got to sleep in this morning and it felt good. Ethan comes at 12:30. I'm off to fix some eggs and cheese for breakfast and then get started on my to do list to get ready for the choir party. You'll notice I updated mine and it isn't pretty. But like Tracy says, seeing it in black and white is reality. Just in from an hour in the pool. Outside temp is 68 and the water is 88. I didn't float around on a raft, but got my exercises in and Ethan swam around. It was funny seeing him spin around the pool as I was doing my running laps. It was like he was caught in a whirlpool. Jenn.. I LOVE my heater now that it is working. I'd be closing up the pool next week if I didn't have it. Now I'm hoping to stretch it into Sept. as long as possible. It will mean wearing a bathrobe out to the pool and getting it back on in a hurry when I get out, but that's really no different from getting in and out of the hot tub in the winter. The Bobster is going golfing tonight after supper so I'll have the house to myself. We're having a choir cook out next Wednesday so I need to have the house spic and span before then. Good morning, Violets.. Got my vote in for Carson and now relaxing with Ethan while he sits on the potty and plays Wii. That's called multi-tasking. He's just not getting the potty thing at all. Never says he has to go, it's just by chance if I get him on the potty before the deed is done. He is talking much more now, but certainly not like his 6 months younger cousin. Ethan talks in 2 or 3 word thoughts. But it's an improvement so I'll take it. It was choir lite last night. Only 9 people out of 22 showed up. Lots of excuses and only a few saying they didn't know what they were going to do as far as the church goes now. I just don't expect that 5 years of behavior can improve in 7 months, but what do I know? I was always allowed one Sunday a month off and hardly ever took it, but this year I will take every single one and let them worry about a sub or what to do musically those Sundays. Ethan and I had a great time in the pool yesterday. It was in the 70's , but the pool was still 88 so we were in for almost 2 hours. I got a nice sun burn that is keeping me warm this morning with the temps at 48 when I got up. If the sun comes out this afternoon, we'll get in the pool again. Ethan wears his little floaty suit and swims all around the pool. He sure has come a long way from the kid who screamed because he didn't want to get in the water at all. Nothing much on the agenda today and tomorrow. Saturday we're heading to Traverse City, about 2.5 hours away to shop and see Julie & Julia and then stay overnight before heading to another town so Bob can preach. We'll be home again Sunday afternoon. I love these little get aways. I love Ethan dearly, but it's nice when it's just Bob and I without kids or dogs or cats, or church crap. I know, I know..
