Good afternoon, Violets.. Busy morning this morning. I had to be up at 7:30 to wait for Ethan, then got the call from Joe to pick him and take him to work and bring Ethan here. That was 8 and I had to be dressed to leave for a rehearsal at 9. Finished at 10 so I could get home and relieve the Bobster so he could go and officiate at the funeral. Grady came over for a visit at noon and then they left to go to the dentist. In the meantime, Ethan and I have been out twice to clean out garden stuff. I have 1.5 cleaned out with 14 left to do. I figure the more I do in the Fall, the less I have to do in the Spring. Kat.. sorry to hear you are sick. Hope the meds do the trick for you. I'm still working on my phone. I have Ethan's picture as the wallpaper now and as Joe's caller ID. I need to put Grady's as Kris's picture ID. Fun,fun. Off to get some lunch and then head outside again. Suzy.. guess I don't understand.. If you already had AT&T, it would just be an upgrade. My contract was about up so I could pick out a new phone and then just have the numbers transferred. The entire fee I paid was $.01 for the phone. No activation fee, no transfer fee, no nuthin. Glad you like your phone. I really am getting used to mine. Have a good time at Curves today!! Just finished a slice of 10 grain bread with peanut butter and grape jelly. Comfort food for me. I'm sharing some grapes with Ethan right now. I had a piece of homemade chocolate cream pie at rehearsal last night. It was a reward for having a great concert and I enjoyed every bite! Laura.. glad you're going to have a doc take a look at the knee. You might have some fluid buildup that could be drained. Haydee.. it's 1 p.m. right now and the temp is 46!! Brrrrrrrr. I have plants to plant, but no time until tomorrow to do it. Then it's going to be a marathon garden day. Not many good days left before winter. I won some ferns on ebay and am hoping those will be here tomorrow so I can plant everything at once. Of to do laundry. BBL...

Good morning, Violets.. You know it's cold when your Yorkie is sitting on your lap shivering. Sooooooo I broke down and was going to up the temp on the thermostat, but lo and behold.. nothing. So I took the cover off and replaced the batteries and now we have heat. It's 41 out and I put the heat at 65. I swore I wasn't going to have it on before October, but with the Bobster still feeling sick, I had to cave in and boost the temp in the house. Ethan comes at noon today and I have choir rehearsal tonight. That's all that's on the agenda today. The Bobster has a funeral to do tomorrow. I sure hope he feels better. I think he is going to the lady's house today. She's a doctor so she'll understand and maybe make him all better, ya think? I'm loving my new phone. I had to buy new ringtones for my family and my best friend and couldn't get the same ones I had before, but I like the new ones. Bob is Magnum P.I theme cause he always tells me he looks like Tom Selleck.. right. Kris's is Clay Aiken singing On My Way Here, my friend Betsy's is You've Got a Friend and Joe's is "Deeeeetroit Basketballlllll". Course my answer tone for the phone is "Hey Jude". I love the full keyboard for texting and I'm learning about all the other good stuff on it. I printed out the info from Amazon and took it in to the ATT saleslady. She looked over the list and said she couldn't believe the prices. She's going to show her manager and see if they can match any of the prices. Suzy... how is your new phone?? Which one did you get? I got the LG Xenon in red. Off to find some breakfast. I slept in late today. I've been reading the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and it's keeping me up until 1 a.m. Love the book! Good afternoon, Violets.. Very windy here and still dreary. Ethan and I went to the bank and deposited a check and he of course got his sucker. Then we went to K-Mart and Gramma got him some new slippers to wear around here plus some new shoes and a toy. Good day for Ethan!! The pool guys were here this morning and the pool is now officially winterized. Time to fill up the hot tub and hope it is working ok. Kris, Bob and I are going downstate on Saturday to do some shopping. We're going to the outlet mall and Sam's Club. Nathan is going to take out Bob's stitches Saturday before we leave. Should be interesting. ouch!! Bob has been in bed all day and is just now having some lunch. Tonight will be easy.. $1.00 Butter Burgers at Culvers. Then a short meeting to turn in music and talk about some issues with the singing group. One of our singers is going to bring a chocolate pie so I have to save some room for a tiny piece.:tongue2: Off to do some laundry. BBL.... Michelle is supposed to be back online tomorrow. Can't wait to hear about her adventures!!

Good morning, Violets.. It's a rainy, dreary day here today. The Bobster has a cold and he's being very whiny... like it's the worst thing that could happen to him. He's still in bed. If he shares this with me, I'm going to be really upset. I have a concert to sing at on October 11 and I need my best voice. arghhhhhhhhh Ethan comes at 11:30 today so I need to go shower, wash my hair, get dressed and have some breakfast. Dinner ended up in the toilet last night. :tongue2: Everyone have a great day! Be good to yourselves.

Good evening, Violets.. I'm waiting for Grady to arrive. I made chicken parmesan, pasta and cooked cabbage for dinner and I've been pb'ing ever since. Don't know what it is. I didn't really feel hungry, but ate a couple of bites and then yuck. I've pb'd 4 times already. WTH?? Suzy.. glad you got the phone. Mine comes tomorrow. Certainly is a great deal. And congrats on the job! My daughter used to work at Curves and loved it. The ladies there all loved her too and were sad when she left when she got pregnant. Heather... YOU have to pay for all those things and you are renting??? uhhhhh I don't THINK so!!! Janie.. glad to see you could get on here finally I didn't do it, really, I didn't!! And yes, I have Firefox. I don't know nuthin bout no stocks. I leave that up to our financial advisor. I just am happy when there is enough to go on my cruises. Haydee.. loved the pics! Yep... we were already with AT&T and my contract was up so it was a great deal. My phone comes tomorrow. They had trouble with the debit card. Because it's only a penny, it wouldn't go through. They said they had a lot of trouble with credit cards because of that amount. So they finally charged us $1.01 and will refund us the dollar.

My vote is for #2 and that's not a pool..that's an AMUSEMENT PARK!! WOW!!!

Good morning, Violets.. It's a dark, rainy morning here. Sure can tell the nights are getting longer. It used to be bright daylight when I got up to babysit Ethan. Now it's the middle of the night! I got the Bobster home without incident last night. It's a teeny, tiny airport here in Alpena, so no problems waiting for luggage. I guess he had major difficulties in Cleveland going through security. The detector went off everytime it went past his chest. He was taken back for something just shy of a strip search, he said. They couldn't find anything, but he said it was very thorough. They kept peeking into his splint on his finger and wiped it down with those pads they use on luggage. But he's home now and no more flights till January. I don't know if I have Ethan or not today. Joe never called. I do have my hospital shift today and then Grady tonight while Kris and Nathan work out. I hope to get some plants planted today and the old stuff cleaned up and cleared out. I have some transplanting to do too. Hope everyone has a great day. Be good to yourselves!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Another drive by post. I'm off to the next concert in a few minutes. Have to practice a little bit to get warmed up before I get there. The Bobster will be home either tonight or tomorrow depending on if they give him a different flight in exchange for moolah. They asked him to bid on compensation, so we'll see when he gets to the airport what they are proposing. As it is, he'll get in at 11 p.m. tonight and I'll go pick him up. I'm draining the pool right now so have to remember to shut that off before I leave. Everyone have a good afternoon. Beautiful fall day here. The leaves are really turning colors quickly.

Good evening, Violets.. Just back from dinner out with Kris, Nathan, Grady and Nathan's parents. I split a dinner with Nathan's mom and it was just enough. Yep, PamELa, the concert is over, but there is another one tomorrow. This one is a benefit for St. Vincent's and then, THEN I'm done and can relax a bit. I sang at a funeral today and three ladies from the church said they wanted me to sing at their funerals. I don't think that realize how uncomfortable that makes me feel!!! It's like.. sure.. when you're dead, I'll sing for you. Got the bathtub recaulked so that's one to check off the to do list. I need to steam clean the carpeting on the steps. The yorkies think it's ok to pee on them.. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Off to read some and then head to bed. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well. (((((HUGS))))))Janie!!

Good morning, Violets.. Just being lazy this morning. I don't want to get dressed until I have to and that's not until 1 p.m., so jammies it is. Just finished listening to the CD I made and I'm so impressed! I don't get to hear the group the way an audience does. I can only hear what's being sung by the people on either side of me, so to hear the whole thing with all the voices was just so great. I have to burn 10 more copies so I can give them to the group tomorrow at our next performance. Oh, and we made the front page of the Alpena News this morning. Must have been a slow news day. Haydee... I've looked for your pics on Facebook, but don't see them. Did you not post them yet? Note to anyone who is interested in a new cell phone because your contract is up or you can upgrade. Amazon.com is selling phones for $.01 I just bought a $249 phone for $.01 and all I have to do is take it in to AT&T and get the number switched from my old phone to the new one. The new one has a full keyboard. Who would have thought that an only lady would be interested in that for texting?? lol Oh.. gotta tell ya. It's the little things that count. Last night at the reception, I sat next to a friend that I had not seen in a long time. She looked at me and said.. "well, just look at you, you're cute as a button!" That simple comment made my day. The heck with the concert, the feeling that comment gave me was worth everything. I decided to try and remove the old caulk from the tub this morning. What a chore. Got it done though and decided to try my nifty new caulking tool. I got one side of the tub done and it worked like a charm. Two sides left to go!
