219 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Wow.. really quiet in here .. I had a nice nap this afternoon so of course I can't get to sleep tonight. Kris and Nathan met with the minister for 20 minutes. Bob is only going to be doing one little bit of the baptism. We are not happy campers. I have a meeting today at 4 with the church budget committee. The staff has been asked to take a 10% pay cut for next year to help balance the budget. For me it is next to nothing since I am the lowest paid of the bunch, but for some it will be some bucks. And the sad part is, it's not the staff's fault. We are the ones that are keeping the church running in spite of the pastor. Well, enough of that. It just makes my blood pressure rise whenever I think about the church. Off to try and get some sleep. Tigers lost in the 12th inning, but they gave it a valiant effort. Hope everyone is sleeping soundly.. Nighters!

He's always wanted to drive a Hummer. I won't tell him about the Bubbles... We'll let that be our little secret. Had a nice, long nap today. The Bobster watched Ethan for me. Grady is here and trying to crawl all over, but not having much luck with the blanket on the hardwood floor. I'm off to rehearsal in a little bit. Nathan and Kris are meeting with the pastor about Grady's baptism in two weeks. Can't wait to hear what they say about that. This is the minister none of us has much use for. I took some of Bob's antibiotics he got for his cut. It might just be my imagination, but I feel better. Will check in when I get back tonight. GO TIGERS!!! (DETROIT, that is)

Good morning, Violets.. I promised myself I would sleep in until 10, but that didn't work. I guess 8:30 is my limit. Still coughing and have a stuffy nose, but at least I can stay in my jammies for as long as I want today. Grady comes at 5 and then a rehearsal at 7. I already told them I wouldn't be able to sing much, but we have a ton of new music to pass out so I need to be there. Hope everyone has a great day. Be good to yourselves.

Good morning, Violets.. It's 1 a.m. and I'm coughing and can't get to sleep. I went to bed at 8:30, watched tv, then read, then tried to go to sleep, but obviously it's not working. It's a dry, hacking cough so of course the back of my head is hurting from all the pressure. Hope Laura is feeling better. Ethan doesn't come until noon today, so I can sleep in later, if I ever get to bed. Janie.. purple power to you in dealing with Charlie and your job. I just balanced the check books so off to try and sleep.

Good afternoon, Violets.. The lamp just came on so I know the day is almost over. We've had Ethan since 8 this morning. We will take him back to his older brother at 5 and Grady isn't coming over tonight cause Kris is sick. I am so ready for some rest. I tried to take a nap this afternoon, but the Bobster was out golfing and Ethan wasn't into resting. I got my hospital shift done and did some flower bed cleaning in the back yard. I'm still coughing, but feel a little better than I did at 1 a.m. Jane.. (((hugs))).. hope everything works out at the shop. That was so sweet of your parents to leave you flowers. It's always nice to know you're thought of and loved. I'm making turkey tetrazzini in the pressure cooker tonight. The Bobster is out getting me the ingredients right now. Then he'll take Ethan home and I'll get dinner ready. Tomorrow I can sleep in cause Ethan doesn't come until noon. We have Grady tomorrow, but at least Bob will be here to help. Off to get Ethan dressed to go home. BBL........

Good morning, Violets.. Can't sleep...I keep coughing, but it's not productive so all it does is make my throat more irritated. I'm sitting here with a mug of hot chocolate hoping that will soothe it a bit. Thanks for the compliments on Grady. I think he's pretty darn cute myself. And he's so much more fun to be around when he's not crying all the time like he did before Mommy decided a routine was in order. Course getting 4 teeth in, didn't help either. Off to finish the cocoa and hoping to get some more sleep before getting up early to wait for Ethan to arrive.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Just up from a nice, long nap. Apparently it rained while I was sleeping. The sun is out now, but it's only 52, so pretty chilly. It sure looks beautiful out, though. I have Bob's cold.. well, not as bad as he had it, just a raspy throat. Hopefully all will be back to normal in time for the Peace Concert on the 11th. Grady has a cold too. He was here for a little while this afternoon. His daddy stayed with him while his Mommy went shopping and Gramma napped. The Bobster and son Joe watched the Lions and Tigers.........oh my! The Lions lost, as expected, and the Tigers won. Now the Tigers will have a one game play off for the division title. They are not picked to win, unfortunately. Laura.. saw on Facebook that you are sick. Hope you get better soon. Not fun with a little one to take care of, but at least you have your Mom close to help out, plus of course Russell. Off to figure out what kind of soup to fix for dinner. I need something warm on my throat.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Just finished lunch and now waiting for Kris and Nathan to arrive with Grady. it was World Wide Communion day in church today and the pastor asked me to help serve the choir. It was intinction, dipping the bread in the cup, and I had never helped with that before. He neglected to tell me I was to serve him and then serve the servers so I looked bewildered up in front of everyone. I don't remember being the "go to" Communion person. Seems to me he should be able to do it himself or at least let me know what's going on sooner than 5 minutes before services. grrrrrrrr The more I go there, the less I feel I belong there anymore. Sad, sad, sad after 25 years there. I'm going to go out and stock up the birdfeeders and then head to bed after Kris and Nathan leave. I NEED a nap!!!

Good morning, Violets.. Had a great day shopping yesterday. I made a dent in the Christmas shopping.. at least for Ethan! I'm off to get ready for church. I see a long nap in my future today. It's 47 and dark outside. Typical Fall morning. The Bobster got his stitches out yesterday and everything has healed nicely. He can bend his finger without too much pain, so that's a very good thing considering the tendon was cut. Now he has no excuse left to not help with yard work.. :smile: Everyone have a great day!! Be good to yourselves.

Good evening, Violets.. Just a quick post. 5 hours with Ethan and 1 with Grady are a little too much for an old lady. I'm going to take my next book Icy Sparks to bed and read till I fall asleep. Finished the Guernsey book today.. really liked it. Off early tomorrow to spend the day shopping. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Just back from 3 hours of being receptionist at the hospital for those getting flu shots. It was a little dull, but the best part was seeing a lady come in who I guessed to be in her late 70's. When I asked her birthdate she said 05/02/1914. I said excuse me... 1914??? She said yep.. I'm 95! I had the nurse guess and she said 75. The lady said she was going to go in her purse and get a quarter to pay us for saying nice things. She was a hoot! Kicked up her heels and her daughter said.. MOTHER.. you're not on Broadway. It made the morning totally worth it! Ethan is here now and it's raining so we're watching cartoons and reading books. The Bobster is out gathering our lunch from KFC. PamELa.. The Bobster and I are going with Kris on a shopping trip this weekend. No Grady and no Nathan.. We're going to Sam's club and Babies R Us and the outlet stores. Should be fun. Some of my favorite movies.. Dirty Dancing Mr. Mom The Son In Law Tommy Boy Sound of Music Dumb and Dumber The Mask James Bond movies and Star Trek movies Michelle... great pix.. You sure can tell the kids belong to you! Not that you were wondering.. It's 50 degrees and the furnace is humming away. Ethan is watching Dora and speaking Spanish. What a guy. Heather..a whole burrito, eh? Even though most things go down, I am always reminded I have the band when I try to eat too fast or eat something too dry. I somethings think.. do I still have a band and then the pb's let me know that YEP.. it's still there and still working. I just have to get my head in the game again. Now that the pool is closed up, I'm not getting the daily exercise I did. Too cold and rainy for the trikke yet and with Ethan I can't leave to go walking at the indoor track. By the time he goes home I have evening stuff and am worn out. I know, I know.. excuses.. I really need to get upstairs to my "gym" and get to it. Such a sleepy, dreary day. zzzzzzzzzzz

Good evening, Violets.. Wow.. pretty quite in here today. Ethan was here all day and we did some yardwork, but not enough. I have to work at the flu shot clinic in the morning and then hope to get out and do some more since the Bobster will be here to help with Ethan. We tried to get the $.01 phone for our daughter in law, but it only works when you create a new account or are entitled to an upgrade. We just put her on our family account so she couldn't get the deal. dang. But at least she'll save on minutes being on our plan with us. It turned out to be a really beautiful Fall day today. Picture perfect weather, even though it started out with frost on the windshield. Hopefully the rain will hold off until I can get some more work done outside. Grady was over for a little bit today and will be here for an hour tomorrow evening. He's starting to crawl now, but it won't be a problem here for awhile because we have all wood floors. He'll be slippin' and slidin'. Off to read some more of my book and then watch CIS. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

Heather, you have to do what is best for YOU!! Decide with your mind, not your heart. She has shown to be a less than desirable landlord. If you have another place that is equally as nice and is closer to your babysitter... go for it!! It's YOUR decision, not hers. If you've followed all the rules, then it's her problem about not being able to rent it out, not yours. Off to read Brown Bear for the upteenth time today.
