Good evening, Violets.. Just back from choir rehearsal and had a nice bowl of veggy soup. This time I made it with kielbasa and added some corn and used fresh veggies instead of a can of Veg-all. I put in a little cayenne pepper and it has a nice little kick. I had a sausage/egg burrito for breakfast and some tapicoa pudding for lunch. I had a couple of grapes, but they got caught and I ended up pb'ing them. yuck. I walked 2 miles at the mall without my brace and that was a mistake. But I got a new one and wore it all afternoon and it felt good. We'll see what happens at Zumba tomorrow night. I warned Kris that I might not be able to continue with it,but she says I should just take it easy and do what I can. We'll see. Off to watch the Pistons and then NCIS and Modern Family. Fun, fun! Good afternoon, Violets... Back from taking Joe to work and then heading to church to get some music run off for choir and flutes. Had a nice chat with the treasurer and my friend Betsy. We all have to go to retreat next Tuesday and none of us is pleased about it. At least we are all of one mind about this mess. Michelle... hope you can get through on the phone. I sure understand your concern about DD and the flu. Janie.. LMAO!!! You're a hoot! You can definitely be the Dragon Lady. And I'd be in the same boat as you if I had a cleaning person. Exactly the reason a dumpster is coming to our house today. I'm off to go walk the mall and then figure out what to have for lunch.

Good morning, Violets.. Bummer news from Maine voters.:drool: I don't understand how people can just lie in media ads and get away with it. I'm up and showered as I have to pick up Joe to take him to work today. Their car is not running. So we are the cabbies until they get the car to the shop to see what's up. My knee is not doing so well this morning, but I'm still going to walk this afternoon with my brace on. I'm really not sure I'll be able to do Zumba with it feeling this way, but I'm going to give it one more try on Thursday. I hate to give it up, but I also hate to not be able to walk! Off to get some breakfast and get dressed. Everyone have a great day!

Unfortunately I can't blame Tom for my rotundness anymore. But what a funny story!!! I'm back from singing rehearsal. Everything is Christmas now. Somehow I can't quite get in the mood yet, but it will come all too fast, for sure. Going to watch the Pistons and then The Good Wife, a little Kindle and then off to bed. My knee is bothering me, but I'm just going to walk through it tomorrow. Everyone have a great night.. sleep well!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Just back from the mall. We walked a mile and then had some soup..I had about a half cup of broccoli cheese... and then we walked another mile before coming home. I love my mp3 player!! When "Defying Gravity" from Wicked came on during the last go around, I got so energized. I LOVE that music. We're going walking there again tomorrow. The ice rink is ok to walk, but it's darn cold and it's just around and around 8 times for a mile. It's nice when I can watch people who are ice skating, but that's not often. At least the mall has things to look at and 4 times around is 1.10 miles. I saw a picture of Ayla on Facebook in her costume.. looked a lot like Carson's costume!! Sooooo cute. Don't know where Kat is, but she is posting on other threads. Haydee.. enjoy the cake tasting, but remember ... it's just tasting!!! :thumbup: PamELa... I thought of you today when I heard the song by Celine Dion about dancing with my father one more time. Sorry you're having a hard time right now. (((hugs))) Our dumpster arrives tomorrow so then the work begins. We have it for 2 weeks. I hope we can make a big dent in all the things we have kept for 16 years here, but never use anymore. Since Jetta, the garage dog, is now Jetta the inside dog, we also want to clean out a place for at least one of the cars! Bob is even thinking about getting rid of some books... now that's a BIG step!! We voted today and now I have nothing compelling until tonight's rehearsal. We're having $1 butter burgers and left over chili for supper. yums.. Off to check on Facebook and emails and then maybe, just maybe a little nap. Ohhhhhh, did I mention it SNOWED today?????:thumbup::eek::eek: Nothing that stuck, but definitely a few flakes. And the leaves are all still on the ground.. arghhhhhhhhh

Good afternoon, Violets.. A boring, lazy day here. It's rained all day, so can't do anything outside. The Bobster had to take his car in to figure out why it has a shimmy in the steering wheel. Then he's off for some coffee and chat with a minister friend. Sooooo I'm here alone with Ethan. He's watching cartoons and we've been reading books. I tried to take a little nap with him, but he wasn't going for it. Michelle... congrats on the -1#!! I weighed in and gained one. Hopefully the exercise will make a difference this week. I can't go out walking, but will do the glider upstairs as soon as Ethan goes home. Haydee.. great pics!!! Ethan was a skeleton for Halloween. He didn't make it here so I just have a pic on my cell phone that Joe sent me. He said he had fun. Boy, sure is quiet in here. Everyone must be busy.

Good morning, Violets.. Looks like the last shall be first again this morning. It's dark and raining out yet again. Ethan is due to arrive in a half hour. The Bobster arrived home safe and sound and unemployed for the first time ever, ever! He has a couple of Sundays to preach this month at a Presbyterian church nearby and has his resume in for an interim there, so we'll see what happens there. But unless that pans out, he will be just an unemployed "bum"! Hardly seems possible after all these years, but I think he's finally ready to relax. This last administrative job was a nice way to end his ministry career. Now I just have to figure out what to do with him home alllllllll the time! First thing is... we call and get a dumpster here for some serious cleaning and pitching. Nothing on the agenda today except my hospital shift and then Community Chorus tonight. I hope to get some walking at the mall in today. Off to get dressed and find some breakfast. Everyone have a great day!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. A lazy day here today. Church was very good today. Choir sounded wonderful, pastor's message was very meaningful (it was a sub, the dull pastor is on vacation) and I had a nice lunch with Kris and another church couple at a Chinese restaurant. I got the buffet, but I was very careful to eat slowly and only took little bits of several things. I came home and just finished cleaning the Bobster's bathroom. It sure was a mess!! But it's all spic and span now and I'm just waiting for him to get home in a couple of hours. I just booked our flight to LA for our cruise in 69 days. Now everything is paid and we have an onboard credit of $180 because of a price reduction. 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riveria.. $609 per person. Can't beat that!!! Well, I guess you could, but I sure think it's a great price for a wonderful vacation. I'll book my flight to Texas after the holidays. We will be going to Florida also this winter and staying with some friends so it will basically be the flight to pay for and Spirit has some awesome deals. Last time we flew for $99 a piece round trip. Just have to keep looking for the deals. Not much more happening today. I was going to take a nap, and then a walk, but after cleaning the bathroom, it's a little late for a nap now. So I think I'll go up to the "gym" and ride the bike and do the strider up there. At least I'll get some exercise in today. Hope everyone had a good Halloween and stayed away from the candy!!!

Good morning, lovely Violets.. It looks pretty nice outside right now. At least it's not windy nor raining. I'm getting ready for church. Our pastor is on vacation.. thank God!! and we have a sub who is really, really good. I'm looking forward to going today. Bob is still in Lansing and will be back by 5 tonight. Then he is officially done, done, done with his Conference job. Now onward to see what happens next. Monday we are calling about a dumpster and we are really going to do some serious cleaning and pitching. Gotta run and get my hair and make up done. I sound like a movie star, don't I??:scared2: Mae.. kudos to you for being that close to goal!!! Wooo hooooo!! You'll have that job in no time. Wish I was closer to goal, but maybe this walking will help now that I have my head back on track with eating. Everyone have a great day!! Be good to yourselves.

What a bummer this Halloween turned out to be. I only had 4 trick or treaters. I have a barrel of pretzel bags and a bag of blow pops left. I gave the other barrel and bag to Nathan to take in to work. Bob is not here so I'm all alone with the doggies and cat. Joe had to work and his car is not running so he has mine and didn't get to bring Ethan over. I got a picture on the cell phone, but that was it. Not a good evening at all.

Good afternoon, Violets.. I just got back from walking 1.65 miles at the mall. I got to use my mp3 player for the first time and I love it. I walked a mile and then had a cup of chicken dumpling soup (left 3/4 of the dumplings) and then walked the .65 miles. Then went to Gordon Foods and got some chopped spinach, breakfast burritos, chicken tenderloins and for a special treat while Bob is away kinda dinner... lobster claws. Claws and spinach for supper. Sounds delish to me!! I am going try walking at the ice rink later this afternoon. I have to remember to take some gloves cause they keep it cooooold in there. Everyone enjoy the day!! It's beautiful here right now. Sun is shining, it's 45 degrees, wind is blowing... it's definitely FALL!! Which reminds me.. don't forget to set your clocks back tonight!!

Good morning, Violets... It's a different world out there this morning. We had blustery winds all night and the trees are bare. Makes a big difference in the landscape! It rained all night too. Radar shows more rain headed our way today. It's going to be a really wet Halloween. At least I don't have to worry about left over candy. I bought little Halloween bags of pretzels and blow pops to hand out. Blow pops do not tempt me and the pretzels don't either. Bob leaves in a couple of hours to head downstate to his meeting. I'm going to head to the walking track at the ice rink today and start pumping up the exercise so I don't kill myself on Thursdays at Zumba. Off to find some breakfast. Everyone have a great day!

I had lunch out with a friend and had a bowl of turkey corn chowder. It was awesome. Had little bits of green chilies in it to give it a little kick. Then we hit Walmart and I got a brace for my knee. Sure hope it helps! We're going out to dinner tonight for Nathan's birthday. Bob leaves tomorrow and I'm on my own for a couple of days. I plan on doing some serious house cleaning. Laura... Carson is just the cutest little guy!!! I just love his smile. And he goes to bed by 6???? Grady doesn't go to bed until 9! He's crawling all over the place now and is boosting himself up on everything he can trying to walk. Kris walked at 9 months so I'm expecting Grady to follow in her footsteps.. literally!! Kris LOVED Zumba.. I sure hope I can keep up with it. It really is a good workout.

Good morning, Violets.. Laura... you ok??? Well, it's raining here once again. grrrrrr. Leaves are still covering the ground. We decided not to rake yesterday knowing they would be big wet piles today and wouldn't be able to burn them for days. I sure hope we get them raked and burned before the snow comes. Sure glad we don't live in Colorado!!! Ethan is going to be a skeleton for Halloween. If you remember, Grady was called Dragon when Kris was carrying him. We found a purple dragon costume at a garage sale last summer. Purple is Kris's favorite color so it was a sign that that was what Grady was to be for Halloween. Can't wait to see them both. The Bobster will be downstate at his last meeting for his job that ends tomorrow. It's an overnighter so he won't be here for Halloween or church on Sunday. Bummer... No Ethan today and I'm having lunch with one of my church friends so we can both vent about what's happening there. Then to Walmart to get a brace for my knee so I can Zumba next Thursday. Off to find some breakfast. I slept in until 9 this morning.. wooo hoooo!! Everyone make it a great day. Be good to yourselves.

Good evening, Violets.. Stop the presses...!! Let the Violets handle the invitations. Looks like Michelle has a handle on it. What a hoot!!! I just got back from Zumba and OMG!!!! I definitely feel old! It was great fun and I could so see PamELa and Haydee doing it. My knee wasn't happy with me and I need to look for a brace for next time. I also have to remember to take something to drink with me. Definitely a good workout, though! There were about 15 of us.. all ages and sizes. That was the best part. None of us looked out of place. I couldn't do the whole hour this time. I would have had to dial 911. Looking forward to Project Runway tonight and sleeping in tomorrow. No Ethan till noon. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.
