116 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!! (as of 1/18/2010)

Good afternoon, Violets.. Yep.. a matter of hours before we leave. At this time tomorrow we'll be in Detroit on the first leg of the trip. The Bobster is packing his garment bag and then that's it except for the toiletries in the morning. The house is clean and the laundry is done. The yorkies are pretty nervous. They get that way when we bring out the luggage. I'll miss them, but Joe will come over and take care of them and Jetta and Kaylie the cat while we're gone. Kris said she'd stop over whenever she gets to town too. Eating report: B= 1 slice toast with peanut butter L= 4 chicken drummies 2 glasses water Going to have a stuffed pork chop for supper. Not sure what I'll have with it yet. Been too busy to even be tempted with snacking. Ethan had a couple of ice cream bars when he was here and I didn't. We will check on airline prices when we get back from the cruise. Off to do last minute things... Choir rehearsal tonight, then supper and then I'll check in before I put the laptop to bed.

128 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Good morning, Violets.. The Bobster let me sleep in today. We found out last night that Ethan would be here from 8-12 today. I have a little bit to do to get ready to leave. Bob is taking his computer in today for a software problem and asking why we can't hook up the laptops to the router if we put security on the router. We are not taking the laptops with us. There will be computers at the hotel, I'm guessing and internet on the ship though we won't be using it much. It's expensive and slow. We'll probably just check email and that's it. I'm going to update the countdown to reflect when I'll be back to continue it so Haydee.. be prepared for the numbers to fly by!! Off to find something for breakfast. I'm thinking some toast and peanut butter this morning for something different. Everyone have a great day. Be good to yourselves!

Good job, Michelle!!! Here's my report.. B: a couple of forkfuls of tuna salad (just not hungry in the mornings) L: last of the turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy S: 1/2 cup lobster bisque Kris brought me for lunch Snack: 1 cup blueberries with some cream and Splenda 6 glasses of liquid... will finish the other two this evening. No more eating today for me. I was so tempted by the chocolate covered cherry that is sitting on the counter, but when I was reaching for it, I thought of you, Michelle and I said.. Nope.. not gonna do it. So now I can thank YOU!:thumbup: Off to singing rehearsal and then home to watch The Good Wife and try and finish my book on the Kindle. Good afternoon, Violets.. Bob just got home and was able to spell me with Grady till Kris gets back. Boy, that's a full time job being a Gramma!! We are going to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. Temps in the lower 80's. I'm so ready. It's 19 here and lots of snow on the ground. Kudos to you Michelle for being down some more on the scale!!! I weighed in and I'm still the same. Depressing, but not going to throw me off my path this time. I AM going to get to goal in 2010!! Kris just got here so time for lunch. BBL..

129 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Good morning, Violets.. Up early today. I'm getting too excited to sleep well. I got my suitcases packed last night and now only have to pack the last minute things Thursday morning before we leave. Kris is bringing Grady by today while she gets her hair cut and then works out. She leaves for Hawaii for a best friend's wedding right after we get back. I'll be babysitting for two for a week and a half. YIKES!! 17 degrees here right now and we have lots of snow. Hopefully there won't be any problem with the flight out of Detroit. But then again, the ship doesn't leave till Sunday so we don't have to worry about a flight delay making us miss the cruise. Off to have some tuna. No excuse to miss breakfast this morning!! Everyone have a great day!

WOOO HOOOOO Michelle!!!!! -9# is awesome!!!! I haven't weighed yet and don't plan on it until Thursday morning. I just know my clothes aren't as tight and I feel so much better knowing I'm in control of things again. I don't think PamELa and I are going to be able to hook up this weekend. Our cruising companions already had tours booked and their agenda set. We just go along for the ride. We'll see everyone in May and then hopefully a nice getaway for R&R to Palm Springs after that. The Bobster just called and he's on his way home. Met with the head of Christian Ed., several other church members and made calls on 6 people at the nursing home. He's back in the saddle again!!! That's my guy! Off to warm up the soup for supper and then go through the clothes I've packed and see what I can possibly take back out. I don't want the suitcase weighing a gazillion pounds!!

Glad to be of service, Roomie!! We had dinner last night with our cruising companions and she fixed chicken and rice. I brought a salad and she had some bread. I had one piece of chicken and some rice, some salad and the smallest slice of bread I could find. Then she brought out dessert... chocolate cake with cherry pie filling in it and whipped cream on top. It's Bob's favorite dessert when we go there. Well, before she could dish it out, I said.. "I need to pass on dessert tonight". And I DID!!! I drank my White Cranberry/Peach while they ate the cake and I lived to tell the story!! I am finishing a bowl of turkey noodle soup right now. No breakfast again.. arghhhhh. I need to work on that. I am thinking of soup again for supper just so we can finish it off before we leave Thursday. We CAN do this!!!!! Be strong!!!!

130 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Good morning, Violets.. I'm up early so i can get my car back from Joe after driving him to work. Bob is going to his new church for the day and I have my hospital shift. I have clothes in the laundry for the cruise. I'll pack them as soon as they come out of the dryer. It's getting closer every hour!! I'll be glad to get away from the drama of the church. The problem is that 25% of the congregation wants him gone yesterday, 25% wants him gone never and 50% don't have a clue what is going on so the board wants to educate the congregation. The board pres. is drafting a letter to go out to explain things. I'll just bide my time and go with Bob when I can and do my choir thing, but that's it. It's just not my church anymore. Off to get some breakfast. We got a ton of snow last night. Schools are open so the main roads must not be bad. Everyone have a good day. I'm still following the bandster rules and feeling much better about myself!! Amazing when that happens.

Come to my house when you're done. Lots of things to organize here...especially grandkid toys!!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. PamELa.. Soooooooooooo sorry to hear of the fire. Bob said he heard it on CNN news the other day. I can't imagine what that little girl is going to face from now on in her life. Lots of prayers for her. Church today was really fun. Just like old times with the Bobster preaching and me listening once again. He did a great job, as usual and everyone loved him. They said it would be hard for them to start looking for a permanent pastor when they were so happy with him. I was so glad I was able to be with him on his first Sunday there. Things went shitty here. The board voted to keep the pastor on. They said they needed more time to educate the congregation on what the problems are. Letters in support of the pastor were sent and that's because they don't understand what is going on. Makes my decision to resign in June that much easier. If I could, I'd pack it in right now. I'd MUCH rather be with Bob than in my home church. It really is a sad, sad situation. They had a reception after church today and I didn't have any cookies or donuts. I stuck with a couple of pieces of cheese and some sausage. Not even any crackers. We stopped at McDonalds on the way home and I got a Big and Tasty, light on the mayo. EatThis, Not That says it's the best sandwich at Mickey D's. It's what my mom used to call hamburger sandwiches when I was growing up. Now I'm good until supper with our cruising buddies. We need to go over the final details before we leave Thursday. I'll be so happy to get away from all the crap at the church for 10 days. Off to take a little nap before we go out tonight. It's snowing pretty steadily right now. The trip home was a slow one. BBtonight.

Good morning, Violets! Big day today. The Bobster and I go for his first official Sunday as the interim minister today. They are having a little reception afterwards for us. I'm so glad that it worked out that my choir isn't singing today so I could be with Bob. Also, big meeting at my church today about the pastor. I'll be anxious to hear how that turns out. Darn cold here right now and the wind was howling last night here too, Michelle. Hope the trees held for you! Still doing good on my eating. I'm not going to weigh in for a few days. I don't want to be a slave to the scale. I know I feel better and my clothes are starting to fit better, so I must be doing something right. We're off to church in a little bit. I'm taking the Kindle for the ride there and back. Well, not that the Kindle needs the ride.. I need the read, but you know what I mean. Everyone have a great day. Be good to yourselves!!!

Uh oh... what's up with DD??? HOpe everything is ok. We're going to take the puter into the shop Monday. Bob has an issue with his laptop with an advanced software problem and of course we have the router issues. Might as well get it all fixed at one time. Another great eating day today. Had a cup of turkey noodle soup for lunch with a couple of spoonfuls of cranberry/orange/nut jello salad. Supper was leftovers.. turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy all mixed up. 1/2 a banana for snack and will have some blueberries and cream for dessert later this evening. I AM going to do this, this time!!!!

Good morning, Violets.. A lazy day today. Bob is doing the funeral at his new church and won't be home until this afternoon. I don't have a car since Joe is using mine so I'm stuck here until Bob gets home. Got an email this morning from my internet server and they said some music was illegally downloaded from my network. ????? I called and they said it was probably the security on my router that was at fault.. so I went in and reconfigured my router to beef up the security and it still says it's unsecured on here. NOW what do I do?? I don't want to lose my internet privileges because of some nitwit neighbor downloading music using my signal!! The Patrick Swayze book was kinda sad knowing the outcome, but it was very interesting concerning his upbringing, dancing and movie roles. I love that kind of stuff. I'm reading Murder Takes the Cake right now. A fluff book that was a free download on the Kindle. Can't beat that! Off to fix some turkey soup for lunch. Didn't eat any breakfast this morning.. just didn't feel hungry, but I know that's not a good habit. I'll work on that too. Everyone have a great day!!

132 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Good evening, Violets. We are finally home and had a great trip. Pistons sucked, but the rest of the time was great. Kris and I shopped Great Lakes Crossings mall for 3 hours. I got some new knives and soup spoons, some Moonlight Path stuff and some slacks for Ethan. I have eaten extremely well for a week now. Bob bought cream puffs for last night's snacking and I ate zero. We usually go to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at the mall and get some chocolate and cookies.. but I got... zero. We went to Joe's Crab Shack and I split a meal with Bob and for dessert... zero. For breakfast this morning I had some scrambled egg, 1/2 a sausage and some yogurt. As for pastries... zero. Are you seeing a pattern here? I am really, really trying to eat the bandster way. Michelle, I am with you. Goal this year for sure, and hopefully for me by Haydee's wedding date. Going to check messages and then read some more on the Kindle. I finished the Patrick Swayze book. It was a very quick read and very interesting too. Everyone have a great evening. Sleep well. I leave for Mexico in 6 days!!!!!
