45 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Good morning, Violets... I'm off to spend the day with Kris and Grady. Everyone make it a good one!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. My hospital shift was only 15 minutes today. There were no packets that needed to be made and the copiers were down anyway. Soooooooo back home and hitting the laundry. Got some house cleaning in, 30 minutes on the glider and an hour raking outside. I can't believe all the leaves in the flower gardens. I had all of that done last Fall. Where the heck did all the leaves come from???? Michelle... lovely memorial document. The picture with reindeer headbands was perfect! PamELa.. are you lounging by the pool today? It's 43 degrees here right now and perfect weather for being outside without a jacket. Hey.. I have a question. Do any of you have issues with belching? I mean constant belching after drinking anything??? Bob says I need to go to the doctor, but I keep saying, it's not an illness.. it's just belching. I've switched to drinking from a glass instead of sipping from a water bottle, thinking that would make a difference, but it hasn't. I haven't had anything carbonated since April 2007 so it can't be that. Just wondering if anyone else has an issue with this. Off to check out Facebook and emails. Community Chorus rehearsal tonight. I'm spending the day with Kris and Grady tomorrow!!

46 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Good morning, Violets.. It's a semi-lazy day here today. I have my hospital shift this morning and then nothing until rehearsal this evening. Jen isn't going to Zumba today so no Ethan. The Bobster left here at 8 a.m. yesterday and didn't get home until 6 p.m. During that time he had a church service, two home visits and two funeral calls and traveled 160 miles. Today he has a funeral, tomorrow a funeral and possibly two more this week, plus it's Holy week so a service on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. I'm going with him on Thursday for Maundy Thursday service at his church. Then on Friday we have a Tre Ore (3 hour) Good Friday service here. I'm playing flute and singing with the massed choir and also singing a solo during that service. Busy week for both of us. It's supposed to get into the 60's by the end of the week! I did a little raking yesterday when Grady was here with his mommy and daddy to watch the Spartans WIN! I will probably get a little bit more raking done today while the Bobster is gone. Off to find some breakfast and check emails and Facebook. Everyone make it a good day!!

Good morning, Violets.. I read until midnight last night, then watched yet another Golden Girls episode and zonked out until 9:30 this morning. The Bobster is out getting his hair cut and I'm, of course, at the computer checking all my messages. It is supposed to get into the 40's today so we will be raking the back yard and getting rid of all the dead stuff from winter. I'm counting on warm weather from here on out. Michelle.. so good to talk to you yesterday. It's been a tough few weeks for you and I'm glad we could all be here for you. Off to hop on the glider and get that done before the Bobster gets back. Everyone have a good weekend. Spring Break for PamELa.. Wooo hooooo!!!

Good evening, Violets.. Haydee.... kudos for the -2#!!! You're doing all the right things now. I am one who still is so thankful for my band, even though I'm not at goal yet. I never could have lost what I have and kept it off for almost 3 years now without the band. I've lost weight before many times, but always gained it all back and more. My band is doing exactly what I expected it to do. I just have to constantly remind myself that it is just a tool and I am responsible for getting my head in the game. We had chinese for dinner tonight and I had the buffet. I had a few bites of several things and was totally full. In my previous life I would have had two or three platefuls and still have been hungry in a couple of hours. I did 30 minutes on the glider today while watching The View. Now that Ethan only comes on Thursday and Friday and goes home by 1:30, I don't have any excuse for not getting in my exercise each day. The time flies by while I'm watching tv. I'm getting a mini-roller trainer for my trike so I can make it into a stationary bike and still be able to trike no matter what the weather. Off to watch the basketball game and then read some more of the Stephen King book. I'm on page 510 now... only 550 pages to go!!! Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well!

Michelle... So sorry for all of you, but she is pain free and in the arms of God. It's those that are left that deal with the grief. Know that you have lots of love coming from the Bobster and me. Please give your FIL an extra hug from us.

THAT'S AWESOME, JANIE!!! I'm so proud of you and glad that things are starting to turn around weight wise. Also so glad you got the motivation to get things taken care of. You ROCK, woman!!!! Now, about that blue cotton log.. :thumbup: Laura.... I got a phone call from Kris this morning and she is so weary. Grady has been crying non stop during the day. He just wants to be held and then not and then yes and then no. She doesn't know what to do. He is on Amoxicyllin for his respiratory infection and is now fever free, but still whiny and crying. I thought maybe it had something to do with all the activity and company they had in Florida for a week and now it's back to a very quiet home with just Mom there. I told her to take him out for a nice long stroller/walk today. I think it will do both of them good.

Good morning, Violets. A semi-lazy day here today. The Bobster is gone all day working and Jen decided not to go to Zumba so I don't have Ethan at all today. Sooooooooo I'm going to do laundry, exercise on my glider and pop a roast in the slow cooker for supper tonight. I have choir rehearsal tonight, but that's it. It's another beautiful day here today with the sun shining and temps right now at 35, but going to get up to 50 again. I had a slice of toast with peanut butter for breakfast and will have some tilapia and red cabbage for lunch. Tomorrow is working out in the yard day. With the snow all gone, it's time to rake the grass and get all of the dead stuff out of the flower gardens. Hope everyone has a good day. Laura.. how is Carson today?? Michelle... LOVED the beret!! She is such a cutie patootie. PamELa... I didn't have NDS rehearsal last night so I was able to finally watch Idol. Crystal all the way! There were so many "pitchy" singers last night... what's with that? The guy with the guitar was really good too, but it was the wrong song for him.. he didn't make it his own. Good evening, Violets.. I'm back from Community Chorus rehearsal and now watching a bit of DWTS. Sorry, but I don't like watching Buzz Aldrin dance. Why do they put on the 80 year olds and expect them to compete with the young ones?? Tomorrow I have Grady while Kris gets her hair done. He has an upper respiratory infection, but is on antibiotics so hopefully he won't be too cranky with Gramma. Wednesday I get Ethan again for an hour and a half since Jen wants to continue with Zoomba. She is doing much, much better with her meds. Even Ethan is excited when she comes to pick him up unlike before when he never wanted to leave Gramma's house. Off to watch some more tv. Everyone have a good evening.. Food report for today.. B= 1 slice toast with 2 slices cheese nuked L= 2 eggs, 2 slices toast (pb'd 1 of each) D= 2 crab cakes 1/2 cup spinach S= 1 cup hot chocolate S= 1 cup kettle corn

My sweet husband was making fun of the shows I watch. He was saying how stupid the show "Kendra" is and I was annoyed because it's my brainless time. I enjoy the show. When I got upset, he used a word that I don't tolerate and he knows it. He used it just to get a rise out of me. Well, he did!! Maybe he'll think next time he decides to use that word when speaking to me.

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm just up from a nap. The Bobster and I got into a little to do and I smashed my hot chocolate mug and stormed upstairs. And yes, we DO sometimes fight. He apologized when I got up so we are back to normal. Only problem with those "in the moment" rages is the aftermath. I loved that mug!!! Oh well. After having the clothes too small, I decided I needed to get back on the wagon.... again. the no sweets for Lent only lasted a couple of weeks. So I'm back on that again. AND we have an appointment with the lap band doc April 19th. It will be after my 3 year bandiversary and we haven't been to see him in well over a year. It's time. Michelle.. don't you dare think about deleting honest posts!! That's why we're here, remember?? ... to celebrate the victories and share the load when things get tough. Haydee... our Fashion Bug store closed here in Alpena, so the closest one is a couple of hours away. I took advantage when Kris and I traveled on Saturday, but I guess I should have been more careful and tried everything on like Janie said. Their XL certainly isn't like what I have been wearing. sighhhhh Heather... my DD Kris started walking when she was 9 months old. It CAN be done! Laura... hope Carson is feeling better. Janie.. anxious to hear how things went at the doctor. Shout outs to everyone else. I'm off to fix crab cakes and spinach for supper. I had a slice of toast with cheese for breakfast and 1 egg and 1 slice of toast for lunch which I pb'd totally by eating too fast. arghhhhhh I was able to keep the 2nd egg and slice of toast down though. I've had a cup of hot chocolate and that will be my sweet treat for the day. Catch you later, ladies!

Good morning, Violets... It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood too. It's only 18 degrees here now, but it's going to get up to 48 today. I have my hospital volunteer shift this morning and Community Chorus rehearsal this evening with nothing planned in between except some exercise. I bought a ton of clothes from Fashion Bug Saturday and 90% of them don't fit.. ;o((( But they WILL in a month. Ethan comes at 9:30 so his mom can do a Zoomba class, but I'll miss him since I'll be at the hospital. I bought him several books Saturday, so Grampa will have fun reading with him. Everyone be good to yourselves. Janie.. I'm anxious to hear how you did. Sounds like you're losing a lot!! You GO, GIRL!!

Good evening, Violets.. Well, the concerts are over and done and I'm so pleased. Now I can rest up from rehearsals for awhile. Well, at least until Thursday when the flute quartet rehearses again. I have 2 weeks off from New Day Singers. The flute concert went very well. We end our concert with the flutes playing along with the piano while I sing May The Good Lord Bless and Keep You. Apparently it struck a chord in people's hearts because there were a lot of tears in the audience and our alto flute player was crying while she was playing. I hope it wasn't a bad review of my singing!!! Actually the whole program was great and I'm so proud of the group. Michelle.. thinking of you and your family this evening. Everyone be good to yourselves and sleep well.
