    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Good morning, Violets.. Well, thankfully the weather person was way off. No snow last night, nor today. Just lots and lots of wind and rain. Ethan comes at 8 so we'll be inside all day. Oh joy! Lots of reading and cartoons and Sesame street games on the computer. Haydee, I'll have to get my Kindle out and see what books I have on there that are my favorites. You're going to LOVE the Kindle!! I can't wait to get back to it as soon as I finish my longggggggggggggg Stephen King book. Everyone have a great day today!!

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Back from choir and dinner with the Bobster. He's so tired after all his funerals and meetings and services. Tomorrow he has a meeting and then he can rest for the rest of the day. I have Ethan from 8-? tomorrow and then flute rehearsal at 6:30. They are calling for 2-4 inches of snow now. Guess we'll just wait and be surprised. I'm not going to go on a diet before the wedding. I'm just going to check out tummy tucks. And boob jobs. And all over lipo. And heavy duty spanx. Jane!!! Where are you???? Heather??? Suzyt????? Going to watch a little tv and then read some more in the Stephen King book. I'm on page 700!! Only 336 left to go... Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Update.. After agreeing to having a new router installed for $5 a month, I got to thinking, shoot, I can buy a new router for that price and install it myself. Then I got to thinking.. the router couldn't just quit. So I fiddled around with wires and connections and got it working again. TA DA!! So Randy from India, I can fix it myself, thank you very much!

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Good Morning, Violets.. Another lazy day here today. We had a thunderstorm last night, so no mulching today. It's 47 degrees and rain expected today too. I lost my router this morning so they are coming to install another tomorrow morning. That means I can only use the desktop computer for today. The Bobster is not going to be happy that he can't use his laptop. It also means we can't use the wireless printer. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh technology... gotta love it! I have choir tonight and that's it for the day. I think I'll enjoy my quiet time before Ethan arrives tomorrow and Friday. Everyone make it a good one!!

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Good morning, Violets.. It rained hard last night and more is due today so no mulching or triking today. I'm headed back to the hospital to finish my project. It should take a couple of hours. Then nothing until singing rehearsal tonight. Guess I'll tackle the laundry and do some cleaning inside since I can't work outside. Hope all are well and enjoying this weather. The grass is getting green and the trees are budding. Ahhhhhhhhhh spring. Everyone have a great day!

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Good evening, Violets.. Laura.. hope you feel better soon. Carson looks so cute in the Facebook pics. The bobster and I got some more work done in the backyard today. We got a new water fountain for one of the flower gardens and will take the old one and put it in the front yard. So far I have put down 12 bags of mulch. We're getting 10 more bags tomorrow and then we should be half done with the backyard. Then we need to start looking for some new perennials to plant. I'm off to singing rehearsal tonight and then watching the basketball game tonight. We're watching the Detroit Tiger's first baseball game of the season and they're winning! woo hooo! Everyone have a good evening!

I think we might call and get the pool opened up soon. I can't wait to get in!!! Off to finish my breakfast of cheerios and banana. Everyone have a great day!!!

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Good evening, Violets.. Wonderful day today. Bob and I hauled 12 bags of mulch and I spread 11 of them. I have 1/4 of the flower beds done in the back. I figure about 15 more bags and the back yard will be done. Then on to about 15 more bags for the front yard. Things are starting to get green. We FINALLY got some rain today. It was much needed. Kris, Nathan, Grady, Bob and I just finished watching the Michigan State/Butler game. Sad to say MSU lost, but the other team certainly deserved to win. Tomorrow will be a busy, family day. Unfortunately the family is all going to different churches. I'll be at the Alpena church, Bob will be at his church and Kris and Nathan will be at the Presbyterian church in town. They will not go to our church as long as the minister is still there. In the afternoon we will go to Kris's for the Easter dinner. I fixed butternut squash and will take some rolls too. Kris is having ham and cheesy potatoes and pecan pie. Another test for me! I'm off to bed pretty soon. I hope you all have a wonderful, blessed Easter. Soon we'll be seeing each other again and I for one can't wait!!! Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Good morning, Violets.. Longgggggggg day yesterday, but it sure felt like Good Friday. I was at the church from 11-3:30. Bob's sermon portion was great and I did well on my song. It was so good to have the "team" back together.. pastor, soloist and accompianist. I babysat for Ethan and Grady when I got home and I gotta say. 1 is great.. 2 not so much! Especially when Ethan doesn't like Grady because he has to share Gramma time. The guys went golfing and Kris went to Zumba. Luckily I could take the kids out to the backyard, because the inside of the house was trashed! After the kids left, Bob and I went to an Unveiling of the Cross service which really made me feel like Good Friday and then we went out to dinner. Today is all about MULCH! We're going to start the flower beds before things strart to grow too much and we can't get in and around plants as easily. Everyone have a great day!!

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Good evening, Violets.. Michelle.... DS looks great!! Bet he's glad to be rid of the metal in his mouth. As for the flowers. Yup.. they're very pretty and more of what I wanted for you from us, but I will be calling my florist tomorrow just to let them know. I told them to tell the florist, it HAD to be violet. (not to worry.. no more exchanges!) But I am happy that they are pretty and one of your favorite plants. I hope it grows well in your garden and that it will be a reminder of our love for you. It was a gorgeous day here today. Unbelievable 74 degrees!!!! I spent a lot of time trying to balance our checking accounts after having to uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Money program. Finally got it within a penny, so I'm happy. I went to the resale shop and got a few cute shirts for spring. Had choir rehearsal and then dinner with the Bobster. Now I'm home and in my jammies. The next few days will be very busy. Tomorrow Ethan comes at 8-4, then I head to Bob's church to participate in the Maundy Thursday service, then Friday is the three hour Good Friday service when I'll be playing in a flute duet and singing a solo. Kris is coming with Grady to color eggs with Ethan while I'm gone for the 3 hours. She was here with Grady today and we went out to lunch and then to the park for some playtime. Now it's time to settle in and watch Modern Family and then Man VS food. It's all good. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well!

    Shrinking Violets - Part 5!

Good morning, Violets.. It's going to be a beautiful day here today with temps in the upper 60's! Ethan comes at 9:30 so his mom can Zumba and I leave at 9:15 to rehearse flute music for Good Friday. The Bobster will be in charge for a bit. He itching to get in some golf today. I hope to get some triking in today before choir practice. Janie..I hear ya about the taxes. We got some back on state and a bunch back on federal and don't have to pay quarterly until June. wooo hooooo!! But then we get the bill from the accountant and that will be a chunk. Jen just called and she's still got a cold so no Zumba and no Ethan. I know where the Bobster will be this morning! FORE! Gina.. ditto what Pam said. You have to be the advocate for your child. Things are SUPPOSED to be done, but you will have to make sure they are done. Michelle.. I have had the same hair stylist for years and years and I trust her so sometimes I just say.... "go for it". Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I'm pretty comfortable with my hair right now. It's the color I want and the style I want. But then again, I'm getting old and set in my ways. I like the hairstyle in your picture, but I also like the little flippy thing you had going before. Off to get dressed, do my hair and get make up slathered on for the day. Everyone make it a good one!
