60 days till Violet Baby Sophia is due!!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. I've been doing this and that today. I had a staff meeting at church, but that was postponed so I got some choir work done and then the meeting. Then I went to the chinese restaurant and got a gift certificate for Jen's birthday today. Then I her a card and while at K-mart finally got some photo paper to print off the photo for PamELa's Violet picture frame. It's in the mail tomorrow, PamELa! I just finished editing Bob's newsletter for December. He needed to have it done because we are going to be gone next week to Florida. I have to leave in a few minutes to get some more things copied for choir and then dinner out. I do need some prayers for Kris. She was very sick Monday night with bad cramping and sweating so much her hair was soaked. I called her about something and she just said she wasn't feeling well. I called her yesterday to see how she was feeling and she said.. "now don't get excited or upset.." great way to start a conversation!! She took a pregnancy test Monday and it was positive. She is 3 weeks along, but the cramping and sweating was not good. No spotting, but she went in to the doctor and they are going to do some more tests Friday. If her blood tests show a doubling of something or other (can't remember the exact thing) that means she has a baby, if not, then there is no baby there and she'll probably have to have a D&C. She's feeling ok today, but of course worried about what the outcome will be. 44 degrees here, Jane and snow predicted for Friday.. arghhhhhh Glad we will be heading to Florida for a few days.

Good morning, Violets.. I'm up early to head out to vote and then we have a funeral to attend. After that it's a lazy day with nothing except a singing rehearsal tonight. Ethan is here for the day so we might take him to the "Bouncing Place" for a little exercise and energy release. Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning, Violets.. A lazy day here today. I went in for my hospital shift and was only there 15 minutes. Education packets were all caught up. I won't be there for 2 weeks so maybe there will be something for me to do when I get back. Next Monday we'll be in Florida and the Monday after we will be headed down for my next fill. My supervisor said they are considering going to an online educational system, so my volunteer job just might be phased out. I wouldn't mind that at all. Ethan is here for the day. Joe is going out to places he applied to let them know he's still available. He has only worked one day since coming back from Wyoming. The Bobster is out getting new tires on my car. There was a slow leak in the front tire and we kept nursing it, but now the tread is worn away and with winter coming, we need to have some good traction. I had to warm the car up this morning. There was ice on the windshield. At least 90% of the leaves have been raked and burned. I have Messiah rehearsal tonight and then will miss the next two of those also. Here is a picture of the flute quartet that I play in. We have a concert this Saturday. The shirts are purple, but they don't look like it in the picture. And notice only one person has boobies. Guess who!! Once again, I'm the heaviest person in the group. arghhhhhhhh Everyone have a great day. I'm off to avoid Ethan's Halloween candy!!

Good morning, Violets.. Nice car, PamELa!! Mine is an 04 and I love it. Ugly looking thing, Pontiac Aztek, but just right for me. I only have 91, 000 miles on it and it's the longest we have ever kept a car. Usually we traded in every 3-4 years. But now since I'm not driving to school 120 miles a day, it makes a big difference. Bob and I are headed to the last Farmer's Market of the season to get some squash and whatever else they might have. Grady is going to be Thomas the Train and Ethan is Iron Man. Ethan got his costume yesterday and had it on all evening and asked for it first thing this morning. We are not passing out candy here this year. We had less than 10 kids last year and with having to get the dogs sequestered for the night and having to sit in the breezeway for 2 hours waiting, it just isn't worth it. K-Mart here is having a Trunk and treat. You can bring candy and park your car so kids can go from car to car and get their treats. There will also be a fire engine, ambulance and other safety vehicles for the kids to see. Grady will go nuts!!! Haydee, I agree, your costume is awesome!! Just think, next year Sophia will be dressed up as..... oh, I'm guessing, PRINCESS!! Off to the market... Everyone have a great day. Michelle... hope your leg is feeling better! Janie.. you need to take PamELa with you when you go car shopping!! :smile2::tt2:

Hmmmmm, having some band issues lately. Right after the fill I couldn't eat anything. The next day I could eat anything I wanted, no problems. This week, I'm having issues again. Last night had some chicken with pasta, spinach and an alfredo sauce. I had a few bites and pb'd. Then I could eat about 1/2 a cup. Today I warmed up beef stew for lunch. I had a few bites and pb'd that also. I called and made an appointment for a fill right after I realized I could eat anything. Now I'm wondering... I'm at 2.9 right now and was at 3.7 before the surgery. What to do, what to do. I don't want to be making that 8 hour round trip when the weather starts getting bad and that should be in another month. My appointment is Nov. 15. I was planning on getting it filled to 3.5, but now not so sure.

Pineapple and french toast???? WHAT???? We had no liquid diet before the surgery, just had to lose weight somehow to shrink the liver. Afterwards it was 2 weeks of clear liquids, 2 weeks all liquid, 2 weeks soft foods and then regular food. And 2 weeks after that was the first fill. And YES, I agree..Haydee, you look beautiful! (course you always do!!)

Good morning,Violets.. Well, the big wind storm of '10 is over. Our power went out three times yesterday, phone service, internet and cable were out twice. I've never experienced that much sustained wind for so long. I went to get my flu shot early this morning and as I passed the hospital, I saw a huge, beautiful evergreen tree laying on it side, pulled up by the roots. Now that must have been some darn strong wind to do that. I'm guessing the tree was 20 feet tall. We have lots of branches in our yard and we lost some of our leaves which is not a bad thing! And the leaves that are left were dried out by the wind so maybe we'll be able to burn them tomorrow or the next day. Not much on the agenda today. I have flute rehearsal at 2 and then we are going out for dinner with Kris and family for Nathan's 30th birthday. Ethan is here for the day. We are working on vocabulary sight words and he is doing great. He's one smart cookie.... in some areas. lol Everyone make it a good one. I'm getting excited for you PamELa!!!!

Good morning, Violets.. I was up at 6 this morning and was planning on getting my flu shot, but it is sooooo windy out, I decided to wait until tomorrow. Lots of reports of downed trees and power lines on the scanner. We still have power.. (obviously, or I wouldn't be able to send this!). Hope that continues through the day. Ethan is here and we're just going to chill today. He is on the computer playing Sesame street games. Tonight is choir for me, but nothing else on the agenda and that suits me fine. PamELa.. I haven't had the urge to pick up the Kindle lately. I need to get my head back into that game. My body has been sore for a few days because of the bowling I did Sunday. Couldn't believe how much it hurt!! Things are better today though. Off to do some laundry and then chillax for the day. Everyone make it a good one!

Good afternoon, Violets.. A blustery Winnie the Pooh kinda day here today. We took Grady and Ethan to the mall to play in the "bouncy" place. Ethan loved it, but Grady didn't. When it was time to leave, Ethan threw a fit so he and Joe went home while Kris and Grady and I went out to lunch. When I came back home, Ethan was sitting at the dining room table and had to stay there a few more minutes. He apologized to me, but his daddy says no computer or video games today. Guess I'll be reading a LOT of books to him today! Thank goodness he can still watch soome cartoons on tv otherwise he'd drive me nuts!! Off to read some more.... Everyone have a great day!

Serious??? Wow!!

Did anyone else notice on Facebook that Tracyinks got married again??

Good afternoon, Violets.. I luv you too, Michelle, but I'll pass on the fun table, if ya don't mind!:huh2: Geeze PamELa.. I was hoping for something more exotic than a bulletin board!!! Like maybe a huge kindle or seat belts for the trouble makers. Oh well...still money well spent. :huh2: The Bobster got all of the backyard cleaned up today.. furniture put away, gazebo uncovered, artsy fartsy stuff from the gardens stashed for the winter. Only thing left is the humungous pile of leaves in the front and back yards. It's been way too wet to burn and now we have a high wind advisory for tomorrow and Wednesday. I'm counting on alllllll of my leaves being blown out of my yard and none of my neighbor's leaves blown into mine. Wishful thinking?? I scheduled a fill for Nov. 15. That's St. Antler day around here.. first day of deer hunting. The roads should be pretty bare with all the hunters in the woods. I am going to get a fill to bring me up to 3.5 cc's. I had 3.7 in before surgery and that was just a smidge too tight. I have 2.9 in now and it's not cutting it at all. I ate a 6" subway flatbread sandwich today with no problem. We are having authentic U.P. pasties for dinner tonight. Bob bought some on his trip Saturday. I didn't have to make them!! I did some laundry today and then rearranged the kitchen, added a leaf to the table and moved the island around. We need more room since there are 4 of us eating at the table now instead of 2. No job yet for Joe, but I'm still praying that something will come through for him. Not sure he and Jen will stick it out after January. They just make better friends than spouses at the moment. We shall see. Everyone have a good evening.. Community Chorus rehearsal for the Messiah tonight. Can't believe it's that time again!!!

Way ta go, super mom!!! I'm up getting ready for church, then Grady comes over for a nap while his parents go to a funeral, then we go to the bowling alley for a surprise 30th birthday party for our SIL, Nathan. Going to be a good day. Everyone enjoy!

Good morning, Violets... well, it's morning for another 15 minutes here. Lazy day today. Just going to do some house cleaning and laundry. Bob is at an all day church meeting and Joe and Ethan are going out for the day. I need to get some Yorkie food for the doggies and some ink for the printer. Other than that, nothing on the agenda. My restriction has changed and food is going down much easier. Guess I need another fill next month. I lost 2.6# at my WW weigh in yesterday. That still leaves me with 9# to lose to be back where I was before knee surgery. I can do this! I haven't had any ice cream or chocolate candy in a week and am determined not to slip up on that. I get my chocolate fix from hot cocoa. Off to have some tuna/soy nuts/raisins for lunch. Everyone have a great day!
