20 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!! THREE MORE WEEKS!!
-
Good evening, Violets.. I'm going to head to bed early tonight, but wanted to check to see if there was any word from Michelle. Keeping you in my thoughts, luv.. Everyone have a good evening. I'm off to read some more of Big Girl. I had Ethan from 11-4 today and Grady from 4-6. I'm one pooped Gramma. I have Ethan all day tomorrow, but Bob will be here to help. Sleep well, my lovelies.
-
Aleve was the only one I thought we couldn't take, so I was surprised when you said it was fine. I guess I'll just stick with the Tylenol until it doesn't help anymore.
-
We have two yorkies. Love them to pieces..
-
How can Aleve be ok if it's a NSAID like Motrin or ibuprophen??
-
Michelle... as we who are here all know.. this thread is for the good times AND the bad. You can vent guilt free whenever you want. Your mom's idea sounds the best.. give the kids the opportunity to say good bye and decide if they want to go and then do it. You cannot wait until he is in pain again. That's just not fair to him even though it would keep him with you a little longer. I didn't get Kris a kitten for her birthday just because of what you're going through. Nathan said he just couldn't do it again. He had to take our Carlie in to put her down when we were in Canada two years ago and then Chloe a couple of months ago. Nobody handles this type of decision easily, but you do it out of love. You don't want Mo going through all of the pain and anxiety every few months, not to mention all the the pain and expense for you as well. HUGS.....to you and Mo and the kids. It's going to be a tough day.
-
So sorry about Mo. Kris and Nathan had to put Chloe down after they got back from Hawaii. She wasn't eating and could barely stand up. They discovered she had cancer and it was only a week and she went downhill so fast. I'm afraid you only have one decision and it's a tough one, but one that has to be best for Mo. Perhaps this tumor prompted all the constipation issues. Hugs to you when you make the decision. Anyone with pets has certainly been there, done that and it's never easy.

Good morning, Violets.. Michelle.. Just one word for Mo... NO'MO!!! Hope the vet can figure out what's wrong. Today is mulch day yet again. Bob is getting 10 more bags and that should finish off the backyard. Then it's on to the front yard. We've gone through 42 bags of mulch so far. The front shouldn't take as many. Tomorrow we are going to a nursery to see what plants to get. I have 70 Morning glories started and have to bring them in each night as it's getting down into the 20's . Hopefully they won't get too big before I can transplant them. The Bobster, Joe and Kris's father-in-law are going golfing today and I'm watching Ethan while they go. I'm guessing it's going to be another Veggie Tale day. He LOVES David and the Giant Pickle. Just finished tuna and toast for breakfast. It's going down slow. Will wait a bit and then take my Tylenol. Off to get dressed. Hope everyone has a great day. Be good to yourselves.

LOL, Janie.. Sleep on it and it will come to you! Everyone have a good night. Sleep well! Watching the ending of Project Runway. Keeping my fingers crossed for Seth Aaron...

Thanks PamELa.. yeah, that's kinda what I thought. And it is the knee. Not as bad as it was before the cortisone shot, but certainly not as good as right after. The nurse asked if I got any relief from ibuprofen and I said I used Tylenol arthritis meds. Then I got to thinking maybe the ibuprofen would help, but not if it isn't recommended for lap banders. I'll have to go see my doc in late June to see about knee replacement. Not looking forward to that..

Drive by question... I know we are not supposed to use Aleve with our bands.. but what about Motrin??? anybody know?

Good afternoon, Violets.. Looks like it's going to be a Veggie Tales day. Netflix has a neat set up where if you have a Wii console connected to the internet, you can download movies directly to the tv. Bob has been watching the first season of X files and Ethan and I have been watching Elmo and the Grouch and Veggie Tales movies today. Fun, fun, fun!!! We're waiting for Grampa to finish lunch so we can get the 10 bags of mulch put in the backyard for me to spread. It's 46 degrees out and sunshine, so good weather to work! My second skirt came today and it's really nice. Now to get the tops coordinated for the Texas trip. Won't be long now, ladies!!!!!!

Good morning, Violets.. Ethan has arrived for the day so you know what I'll be doing! Laura.. so sorry to hear about Carson and the ear infections. I remember lots of kindergarten kids with tubes in their ears. It seems to be a pretty common thing. Hope he gets some relief soon. And YOU too! Isn't the waving bye, bye or hello too cute?? Grady does it all the time when he sees me, plus he does patty cake every time I pick him up. I love it. Off to get some tuna for breakfast. I was a good bandster in my eating yesterday. Hopefully I can handle day 2. I got one of the skirts from ebay in the mail yesterday and it fits perfectly. I'm guessing the second one will fit also, so there is half of my Texas wardrobe. Everyone have a great day!!
-
Oh no!! Sorry to hear that, Laura.
-
Heather.. cute video!! and handsome son!! I'm just back from flute rehearsal and I had some tuna on toast before I left at noon. I just had half a piece of grilled chicken and it's stuck.. arghhhhhh hate when that happens. I'm trying to eat the bandster way today for a change. We'll see how that goes. Nothing to tempt me here cause we ate it all yesterday!! Under the Dome was out last December. If you would like, I'll send it to you. Bob wants to read it, but not for awhile he says. Let me know and I'll get it out tomorrow.

Oh,and Janie.. I agree.. I love Modern Family more. Last week was hilarious when Cam said.. "I just want to be a stay at home dad slash trophy wife". What a hoot!!!

Just out of the shower and after weighing in and seeing the number go up yet again, I have to say KUDOS to you Michelle, for losing 12# this year!! I really wish I could say that, but ain't happening. I'm guessing not being able to exercise has cut into my weight loss, but then again, the carbs, candy and ice cream might have something to do with it also.. ya think?? I can be so good for so long and then nothing happens, so I give in to the cravings and it's binge time. Gotta talk to the doc about that when we go May 3. Janie.. sorry about your shoulder. The book is by Danielle Steele. I've never read any of her books, but she was on the View describing this one, so I downloaded it right away. Now I can finally start reading it. Off to do my hair and makeup for the day. Will check back after rehearsal.

23 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Good morning, Violets.. I have a flute rehearsal at noon and choir rehearsal at 6 and nothing in between, so that's my day! Guess I'll go and see what I can do in the backyard. I got a dwarf burning bush last night that needs to be planted and a birdbath that needs to be cleaned out. Glee was great last night. I checked to see if that was really Jane Lynch singing and yes, she is a singer. Loved the montage of the three virgins.. and the last song really rocked. Now it's on to Modern Family tonight. Big Girl is a good read so far. It's so nice to get back to my Kindle, but I was saying to Bob, it's been Under the Dome for so long now, I feel like I'm missing something each night when I don't have to handle that bulky book and get involved with all those characters. It really was a great book. Off to fix and egg for breakfast. Everyone have a great day. Be good to yourselves!!
-
Good afternoon, Violets.. I DID it!! I finally finished Under the Dome.. all 1074 pages. I LOVED it. Another great Stephen King novel. Now on to Big Girl on the Kindle and I can put this big, bulky book on the shelf until Bob wants to read it. I got my knick knacks put back out in the flower beds. Now I have to check out where to put new flowers and what kind to get. Off to Home Depot and Walmart to see if I can get any ideas.

The Bobster enjoys a drink now and then, yup. Why? Is he not supposed to?? Should I tell him?? p.s. I don't drink because I don't like the taste.. not because I don't think I should..
-
Ok.. I hate to burst your bubbles, but here's the fact, Jack. The Bobster does not dance. Never has, never will. He is a great chair dancer so if anyone wants to lap dance with the minister, go for it! That being said, once he gets some tequila ingested, he might, just might surprise me. But I'm not counting on it. Actually he would be mortified to know ya'll (practicing my southern charm) are thinking of dancing with him. We'll just keep that our little secret, k?
