Good morning, Violets.. Janie.. you are silly this morning!! The snow is gone, the sun is shining and the Morning Glories are glorious. I have my hospital shift this morning and then cleaning house today. The Bobster is supposed to pack today. We'll see how that goes. Off to find some breakfast and get dressed for the day. I checked the weather for Texas on Weather Bug and got the same results. We need some Violet power to keep the rain away for the wedding..!!

Good evening, Violets.. Back from Applebees. I ordered the steak and portobellos which I had last week and it was delish. Today the steak came and it was too rare. I ordered it medium. I sent it back and they said they would cook a new steak. Sooooooooo everyone is half done with their meal and I don't have mine yet. I had about 3 bites of the original steak. When the second one came, they said to check it and when I cut into it.. it was RAW... so raw that even Bob couldn't eat it. So I told them to forget it, there was no time for anything else. They took that meal off the bill and I got a box to bring it home. In the meantime, I had to go to the bathroom twice to pb everything I had eaten. Sighhhhhhhh I came home and had 1/2 of a Smart One Flatbread sandwich. At least I have plenty of points left over for dessert tonight during Desperate Housewives. Kris gave me a beautiful calla lily and 2 bags of WW candy. I have enough points to have a couple of those too! Hope everyone had a good day. Today begins the wedding week!!!!!!:confused::thumbup:

Good afternoon, Violets.. It's been a nice, relaxing, lazy day today. Sons Joe and Allen called to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. Son Josh sent me a gift certificate from Amazon so I downloaded the new Carol Burnett book to read on the plane trip and Kris is taking me out to dinner at Applebees tonight. Eating has been good today. Poor Bob really has restriction now. He could only eat part of his tuna casserole for lunch and has been stuck ever since. He pb'd most of it and the rest is going down really slowly. Not sure what he'll have at dinner tonight, but I know he'll eat slowly!! He hasn't had restriction for a long time so this is an adjustment for him. I'm glad though, cause he was able to eat wayyyyyy too much before and was always hungry. I need to iron my dress for next Saturday and get a couple more tops packed and then I'm done except for the toiletries. I'm going to be going from 30 degree weather to 90 degrees.. My body is going to go into shock!! Everyone have a good evening! Haydee..... BREATHE!!!!

Good morning, Violets.. The sun is shining and it's not snowing, so it's going to be a good day. PamELa.. you never did tell us about Klausy and what happened. I stayed within my 21 points yesterday and even had a WW dessert. Off to church and then we're going out to dinner tonight for Mother's Day. We're going to Applebees since they have WW point meals. Their steak with portebella mushrooms is delish. Everyone have a great day. Be good to yourselves.

Oh Laura.. I'm so sorry to hear this. Happy Mother's Day indeed. Your poor mom and dad have been through so much as have you with your sister. When will it ever end?? At least they have you and your family to be really, really proud of and to make them happy. I hope your sister can get the help she obviously needs. Hugs to you and your family...

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm back from WW and the first weigh in. Guess there must be something to this point thingy cause I lost 4.2# this week. I'm going to keep at it. I'll weigh in Wednesday afternoon before we leave and then really try to be good while we're in Texas. Remember.. it's NOT about the food!!! It's STILL snowing here!! Nothing much sticking to the ground, thank goodness, but my plants are all shivering. 34 degrees and snow on May 8th. Welcome to my world! Michelle.... hope you're having a better day today. You know you're going to get lots of Violet hugs in less than a week. Try and hold out until then. Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend. I'm headed for a nap and then some house cleaning and packing. Thursday will be here before I know it!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Sorry to hear Carson is sick again. Poor little guy. Poor Mom and Dad! Michelle.. what happened with ds and soccer??? So sorry you're going through all of this. We are under a winter weather advisory for tonight and tomorrow. Since when is it winter???? Up to 4 inches of heavy, wet snow expected tonight and tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it. My fingers are crossed for all my new plants.

Good morning, Violets... Time is flying by!!! In just a week some of us will be getting together once again to celebrate our Violet-ness and Haydee's wedding. CAN'T WAIT! I got the first packing done yesterday. Now to re-evaluate. Checked out the weather for Texas and it's supposed to be in the 90's daytime and 70's night. That's going to be a big shock to my system. We are getting 1 inch of snow on Saturday!! Highs are in the 40's and 50's and lows in the 30's. What a difference distance makes. No Ethan today. Joe isn't working at all. I was to get him for awhile when Bob and he went golfing, but it's cold and rainy so that's a no go. I'm going to call and ask for him to come over for a bit anyway just so I can see him again. I need to read his new books to him as well. Looks like Joe isn't leaving until the 21st, so he can watch the dogs while we are in Texas. I have a friend who will watch them when we go to Canada at the end of the month. She also will babysit Ethan if Jen can't find anybody else, so at least there is a backup for Gramma. Just finished my tuna for breakfast. We had strawberries and banana for a snack last night. Very yummy. This WW thing is working out well. I don't count points religiously, but it has really helped with the snacking and that was my downfall. Everyone have a great day! Be good to yourselves.

Good evening, Violets.. Well, I am officially now an "old person". We went and picked out a cane for me. I think it will be helpful at the airport and in Texas. BUT, it's kinda snazzy.. it's purple with flowers on it. The Bobster said... "you're picking it because it's purple??". Then he told the clerk, "the strange thing is, I understand why she's picking that one". Another good day of eating. The pizza was scrumptious. And we have 1/2 a pizza left over for lunch tomorrow. I also bought a bunch of WW meals for lunches plus a couple of WW desserts. Tonight my snack will be fresh strawberries with Splenda. I've only had one snack today.. 4 Triscuits with swiss cheese. I took some pics of the flower beds and will post them on Facebook. Things are really starting to green up. BUT.. freeze warning for tonight. :thumbup::thumbup: Hope my Morning Glories make it! Off to watch tv and then read my book. Oh.. our waitress at the pizza place told us her daughter's names were Kaylie and Kindle. I said I could remember those names! Our cat is Kaylie and we both have Kindles. She was slightly amused. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

I can't even claim that excuse. Just sitting on my ass and playing on the computer most of the day........ oh yeah, and eating. However..... I've been good for almost a week now. (where have I heard that before?) But with the WW points I don't feel like I'm going to be deprived. 7 caramel rice cakes are only 1 point. wooo hoooo!! I'm having tilapia and red cabbage for lunch. 4 points. Tonight is pizza night and it's my turn to choose. I'm picking the one with spinach and ricotta cheese. yums.

Ummmm what do you have to scratch to make brownies??? I'm starting to get packed for next week. Just like a cruise, I'll pack, rethink, repack, unpack, pack, rethink, repack... a vicious cycle. Why no thumb war?? We both have bum thumbs..should be an interesting match!
