Good morning, Violets.. Another concert done and now my Monday evenings are free. We are taking the Bobster out for an early birthday dinner since we will be in Canada when his actual birthday occurs. Ethan comes today and we are going to do some "fimming". We spent time in the pool yesterday with Nathan, Kris and Grady and it was great, but I got sunburned. Got to remember to put the sunscreen on today. Off to find some breakfast and then head to my hospital shift. Mae.. sorry about your cousin!! Hope things get better soon. Haydee!! Love the pics and welcome home!!! I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our time with you and your family. Bob keeps telling everyone how gracious and kind they were to all of us. Everyone have a great day today! Good afternoon, Violets... Just back from WW and brunch with some friends. I gained .6# so I'm breathing a sigh of relief. I thought the cake was going to be my downfall. It was, but not as bad as I thought. So it's back to continuing to count points and I go in Wednesday to weigh in again. Hopefully there will be a loss this time. The pool is open and warm so I can start getting some water exercise in. My dog sitter is coming over in a couple of hours to meet the creatures and get the lay of the land. We leave Thursday for our annual trip to Canada. We're going to see Evita and Kiss me, Kate. Off to clean some more of the house and then enjoy the sunshine after the rain. Good afternoon, Violets... I got my hair cut short. I like it. My hairdresser broke her arm so I had to go to another hairdresser in the salon. She did a great job.. just the way I wanted it. whew!! I came home and tracked Joe's plane landing online. He's now on his way to Thermopolis and the plane ride is behind him. He was really nervous about it since he's only flown once before and that was with his Grandma about 20 years ago. I trimmed the front yard and am now going out to replant the Morning Glories.The first set got frosted. Then I'm going in the POOL!!! The water temp is 82 and the air temp is 69.. perfect!! Rehearsal tonight at 7 and then relaxing for the rest of the evening. PamELa...I feel your pain. I once had to move from 2nd, to Kdg. to 1st and then back to Kdg. The teachers put wheels on my desk as a joke, but it really helped!! Heather, you're going to love the book. I sure did. Be prepared for "another one bites the dust" at the beginning! PamELA.... the Bobster loved the Violets. He keeps telling everyone what a great time he had. But we keep the Rev. Dr. Pimp part to ourselves... shhhhhhhhhh. Off to plant and play.. Everyone have a great afternoon/evening!! P.S.. PamELa.. did you know that 20 Lay's Light potato chips are only 1 point?? I LOVE it!!!Now I can eat my chips and not feel guilty!!

Good morning, Violets... Sad day here today. Joe flew out at 7:15. Bob is on his way home and should be here by 10:30. Lots of tears this morning. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying that this will be a good experience for him and his family. Right now it's just hard for everyone. House cleaning, hair cut, working outside and dress rehearsal for our concert are on the agenda for today. Everyone make it a good one.

Good evening, Violets... Just back from dinner and then lots of tears. My baby boy will be flying away from me tomorrow morning. sighhhhhhhhhhh Laura...I'm so sorry you are having such a time with the photographer. Did you check your contract for language about price increases?? Everybody loses on this...you with the photos and her, her reputation once you let people know. I'm going to play a little on the computer and then head to bed. The Bobster will be up at 2:15 to pick Joe up at 3. He should be back home by 11. I'm betting he will cry most of the way home. Joe has always been his best buddy. Son Josh is his intellectual buddy and Kris is his "bum",but Joe has a special place in his heart. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well...

Good afternoon, violets.. The Bobster is out mowing the front yard. I just finished trimming the backyard and will get to the front when he finishes. It's 82 out and the pool heater is fired up. I hope it warms up enough so I can get in it tomorrow. Off to the "last supper" with Joe and family. I've been good on the eating today so Kris and I will share a meal tonight. Bob will have half of something and bring the other half home. Heather.. unfortunately the pastor is clueless. We've just accepted it for so long. Attendance last Sunday was 39. When Bob was pastor it was 110+. And the pastor now doesn't seem to think there is a problem. arghhhhhhhhhhh Off to dinner... Everyone have a good evening.. Will check in later tonight.

Good morning, Violets.. Well, in spite of everything, I slept well last night. I got Joe's boarding passes printed out and paid for his luggage. We have a dinner tonight with the family and then he and Bob will leave tomorrow at 2:30 a.m. to drive to Saginaw, 2 and 1/2 hours away so he can board a plane to Billings, Mt. His friend will pick him up and drive him to Thermopolis, Wyoming where hopefully he can start a new life with a steady job. Ethan has been better talking about daddy flying in a plane and him moving to Wyoming. I just hope Jen and he can keep it together until they go out in August. As far as the church.. I just have to let go and take care of my well being. Right now I'm set to resign after Gospel Sunday on June 20th. I won't do it formally until July 1st as I don't want any kind of "going away celebration" because I'm not happy about it at all. I've directed the choir for 25 years and to have to leave this way is very disappointing. BUT.. on a happier note. Remember when we said we needed a Violet stamp for people who went over and above to accomodate the Violets?? Well, I got that covered. I'll surprise you with it when we get to Palm Desert in Sept. Just don't let me forget to bring it!!! Off to have some breakfast and then start my day. I need to trim all the lawns and then work on my last bit of clean up on the side yard. I haven't even picked out the dead stuff from last winter there and the daisies are growing already. Everyone make it a good day.

Good evening, Violets.. Well, we met for 90 minutes. As one of my choir members said when he left.. "he didn't say a damn thing". There is a special meeting with the pastor and then the decision will be made on how to proceed. My decision is easy. June 20th I am done if he stays. I won't go into all the gory details, but suffice it to say I have a major headache and was so glad I was able to be home to see Modern Family and be able to laugh a little. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

Off to choir and then the meeting. I have been eating very well since I got back from Texas. Today I've had one string cheese, a WW lunch (4 pts) and that's it. Don't know when we will eat supper. I probably will take some almonds with me to choir. I didn't weigh when I got back Monday. Didn't want to burst my bubble. I'm going to stay on track and will weigh in at the meeting on Saturday. Hoping not to have gained too much. Will check back after Modern Family tonight.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Got all the little seedlings plucked and the flower beds look so much cleaner. Now to get busy on the mulch for them. Bob went to check the water in the pool to make sure it's safe to turn the heater on. I would love to be in it on Friday. I am getting some positive vibes for the meeting tonight. Got my fingers crossed and hoping for a positive outcome. The people we talked to last night were all ready to fire him on the spot. Guess we made our concerns known to the right people this time. We shall see. Off to shower and get ready for choir.

Checkbooks balanced to the penny...wooo hooooo!! Breakfast and pulling seedlings out. I posted it on Facebook and my friend posted a youtube video of "the Lumberjack Song"... what a hoot!!!

Good morning,Violets.. I got a good night's sleep last night. I downloaded a couple of short Stephen King books onto the Kindle and read for a bit, watched my Golden Girls and then zonked out till 8:30 this morning. Bob has already left for work. He'll be back later this afternoon so we can get the pool heater going. The backyard looks beautiful right now.. so green and pretty with the flowering crab trees in full bloom. I have all the mini-trees sprouting in the flower beds in the front yard again so that is my job today.. to pick out every one of them. That will keep my mind off of the meeting tonight. I have choir rehearsal at 5:30 and the meeting at 7. My future with the church will be decided along with the Pastor's. Off to get some breakfast and balance the checkbook. Everyone have a great day!!

Good evening, Violets.. Had a flute rehearsal this morning and then came home and checked emails and Facebook, got my pictures uploaded, then took an hour nap. Had to be up by 4 for a meeting at church. Another round of telling the story of what an incompetent pastor we have. That took 2 hours. Then took Joe and Ethan out to dinner. Came home and booked his flight to Wyoming on Friday. Three days and my middle boy will be off on a new adventure. Ethan is not handling it well. He already says he misses his Daddy. It's going to be really hard for awhile, but in August when they are back together, I will feel better. So much work to do here in the yard. The pool is open, but the heater is not on yet. We have to make sure the chemical levels are ok so we don't burn out the heater again. The lawn needs to be mowed and I need to weed the front yard flower beds. There are a ton of little trees growing and I have to pluck out each one. That will be tomorrow's task. Hope you enjoy the sauce, Michelle. My mom used to make cream puffs and we would have home made hot fudge cream puffs for dessert. And I wonder why I'm fat!! Off to watch Glee and relax for the evening. Everyone have a good evening.
